It would seem that Alison herself is on board with my rationale. Groovy. I cannot imagine everyone has the same POE though. So there'll be much to discuss. I know Mac for example has voiced some alternative perspectives. This is the day for that.

IF the assertions I have made to clear Alison, Allcrab, and lost monkey are accurate, then the winning POE of three must be [Gnome, Martin, Mac].

Esooa is out. I am me. That does mean that not-me folks will have to clear me as well if they have not already done so with confidence to arrive conclusively at the above group.

If I have cleared someone wrongly it would hardly be the first time. For that reason I hope folks will talk with me about it. The game might be as simple as chop Gnome, but it also might not be. Let's be prepared for the worst. Town has no business doing anything except winning this game. Cover all bases and make it impossible for anything else to occur regardless of Gnome.

I'll bring this one back (click) again as the best moment for lost monkey.

I think it's the timing and context of nutella's motion against Lomo that is most important. Any mafioso can make a case to create distance, so I would understand if nutella casing Lomo isn't enough on its own power to clear Lomo as of Day 7. I would find that a little irresponsible too. However, what's most important to me about this is that nutella's case came on the heels of my own case against Lomo. That's textbook opportunism, and I think it makes it notably more likely that this is not distancing. My own case is linked via the link above.

Gnome is definitely feeding me the appeal to emotion. It's kind of fun that it's literally embedded in our roles.

I think this is the best moment for Allcrab. Sonny tried to get after the crab with that snap TMI read, and Allcrab basically punched him in the face. Sonny backed off straightaway. By the time we reach "That's probably fair" his tail is visible between his legs. This doesn't look like distancing to me. Anyone calling Allcrab mafia or putting him in their POE should contend with this moment.

To me this is the single best moment for Alison. Owner's response looks like it is directed at a legitimate threat to her, not someone aligned with her. For those who are inclined toward Alison tinfoil just by nature of her existence, maybe you can take comfort that for my assertion to be wrong here, Owner would be the one fooling you. I think this is a legitimately strong point, enough that I keep bringing it up. Anyone calling Alison mafia or even POE should at least contend with this.

The best way to solidify this situation I think is to more conclusively clear everyone else. I tried yesterday and thought I was somewhat successful, but I would prefer to have more opinions involved. I'll bring what I consider to be the best points back into the thread (forgive the repetition), and I hope folks can engage.

I'm thinking about the numbers game to see if the mafia would gain something (e.g. town losing a mischop) if Gnome is chopped instead of dying of poison. If I am not counting incorrectly, Day 5 the numbers would have been (with 5 mafia):

9:2:1

Made was chopped. Had Gnome died of poison before Nanook was killed, we enter Day 6 at 7:1:1.

From the mafia perspective that's the difference between 8:1 and 9:1 (Gnome survives) when considering the poisoner just a non-mafia vote. From a mischops perspective that's the same.

Not sure a mafioso is thinking in these terms. If a mafia healer saved Gnome though it essentially must be Martin, and he does strike me as someone who'd pay attention. I'm not sure he gains something from saving Gnome here. It's cloudy given the presence of a poisoner interferes with theoretical mischops available.

I doubt Tony fake poisoned Gnome. He needed bodies, not wifom. What's even the point.

This keeps happening and you're going to be in most POEs regardless of what I say.

I continue to believe the mafia can be found with Gnome's poison survival. That could be a passive immunity for her, though that would require her role to be slightly different from mine. It could be Martin lying (which I don't think necessarily also requires Gnome to be mafia).

Outside those two I have what I consider to be compelling reasons to call everyone town. That's less true with Mac, but if I wanted to make a quality town case for him I could.

The playstyles are mainly the reason if I have to say. Certain things which you guys see as townie are not seen as townie thing over there. Now lets take act what you guys saw stilted and acting scummie from act we consider as something normal from her. This is her playstyle this is how she plays regardless of alignment. Similarly to what you felt with gnome. I felt the same way when I saw syn, mac play. Dana coming in and saying i am nervous and stuff if i didnt see others play last game even i would have felt it was scummie.
Like my impression is most of LM's posts are comments on things that don't actually have bearing on the game itself, there's a couple like the discussion of act's style that could come close to giving a read but avoid actually doing so. There's a hint of a scumread on me, and some interaction with Jay and that's it. I feel like they're hesitant to actually get into the meat of the game.

Looks more like the latter. I cased monkey myself three hours earlier. nutella wanted my mischop to proceed.

I'm not really worried about a poison bomb. Rather, I'm playing in a closed setup with a ton of things I don't and won't know that can conceivably impact the game for the worse, and allowing an outed killing anti-town player to live an extra day is just flat unwise in that environment. I don't know his role or the mafia role(s) still out there. Give me an open setup and I sing a different tune.

That's something I've tried to do this phase, so I suggest reviewing my analysis spam while you're pooped. I think there are good reasons to say it isn't Alison. The only things against her are mechanical POE and "why is she alive?" at this point. I don't know how much I care about those.

She should remain a subject of inquiry of course.

I think Martin kinda has to be POE the more I think about it, just as a byproduct of the mechanical confusion surrounding Gnome's survival. If Gnome is mafia and the game doesn't end, that bodes poorly for Martin. If Gnome is town, Martin remains the most viable explanation for her survival despite his claims.

I think they just want to leave as much to the imagination as they can. I would expect the players themselves knew the precise details of their abilities.

That’s why I would expect my role to indicate to me that pairing up as lovers has a protective power if that was actually true.

@Garden Gnome we can talk it over properly in the night if you activate. This day is already drawing to a close.

The only alternative theory that comes to mind is the one Sloonei suggested — that when we Get Casual it automatically protects from poison.

I doubt it. I think there’d be something written into my own role to indicate that.

Just “casual lover” with a bonus poison immunity so it doesn’t feel underpowered.

One can never be too prepared for the unexpected.

I think the game is over though.
