Thanks gang.
Before the game started, all I knew about the theme was "ominous creepy bikes".
I wanted to force myself to tinker with some creative writing under pressure and made it up as I went.

Re: Bike [END]
Long Con. He was a "haunter" that performed different minor effects each night. N1 role block, N2 halved someone's D2 vote, N3 took away someone's ability to change votes
The setup was just a basic tangent from the cop 13er with the n0 check.

Re: Bike [Day 3]
Thanks for playing folks. I may add some final flavor a bit later.
The civilians played a fantastic all-around game. The mafia had little margin for error after losing one of their own on Day 1, and then juliets nailing her only ID put them in a shit sandwich. This could have easily gone the other way; so it goes with cops. Long Con and Epignosis were well positioned.

Re: Bike [Night 2]

That guy Archibald was always a nut. He swore up and down he was some Civil War general reincarnated -- or maybe he thought he was the original? It defined his whole personality. You could hardly have a conversation with the man without hearing "at ease" or "we have to reinforce Chickamauga Creek!" I can't help but wonder what kind of demons haunted him. Juniper Grove ain't too far away from the site of Chickamauga. Maybe he had an ancestor there? Whatever was going on in his head, it seems to have finally caught up with him. They found him dead today, and rumor has it he was in his full service dress with his rickety old rifle strapped to his back. Only other thing the police found in the area was some narrow tire tracks. This is starting to get ridiculous. Reminds me of those stories...

Re: Bike [Day 2]

Now I tell you what, alls it takes in the Grove is a coupla accidents'n everybody just goes straight on batshit. I ain't seent it this bad in't least five years or more. The police're strangin' up anyone that looks at 'em funny, and by God don't you let none'm catch you on a bicycle. Whooowee. Y'know that damn salesman Mr. Johannsen that likes to come by every few weeks with his pamphlets and cot damn pocket watches? Always ridin' his bike around the neighborhoods pawning off his old shit? Well the poor bastard ain't sellin' no more, I tell you what. He's dead as dead gets. Some folks musta thunk he was the devil 'imself. I hope the Lord thinks better.

Attention: somehow there seems to be a discrepancy with the poll deadline -- it is 13 minutes earlier than it is intended to be. I'm not sure why; it was 6:00 in the post preview. Anyway, day phase voting will end when the poll expires, even if that's 13 minutes early. Be aware of this as you proceed.

Re: Bike [Night 1]

Margaret didn't like children. She knew it as well as they knew it. She was a fearless and unhinged old witch, notorious for yelling at the youths walking home from school from her porch every afternoon. She even threw things at them on occasion, usually expired fruit that must have been in her house for months or worse. She told herself it was their behavior and their dress that needed correction, but she understood within that she hated their surplus of life and her own dwindling consciousness.
The milkman found her body this morning. He said she looked as disgusted as ever even in death, and that she smelled of saltpeter and stale cheese. At least her glasses kept her dignified if nothing else could.
What's off is that she wasn't the only one that died last night. Poor Lionel down at his bed and breakfast passed on too, and under even stranger circumstances. An eyewitness says she saw him through the window from outside, standing in the living room still as a sycamore and eyes wider than any eyes should ever be. She says couldn't see what was going on in there and decided not to pry. The only other thing she could remember was a bicycle laying in the yard, looking like it had just been thrown there. She figured it must belong to a rude guest.

Re: Bike [Day 1]
End of Day One

The boy's back, or at least he is if you believe the hysteria. There was a sighting early this morning, Sandra down by market square, and it seems like every lunatic in town came out of hiding at once to enable her. I can't say I'm surprised these idiots turned out so superstitious in this backwater shit hole. The fuckers killed someone today. They were screaming and hollering about how Samuel, that dumbass server boy at Pearl's, was possessed by Beelzebub or one of those cartoon devils. The police are handling it, but the local force is filled with people just like them.
I'll tell you what though. I saw the body with my own eyes. Thrashed and clawed to the bone. I'll never forget the black slop coming out of his eyes, like he had a squid for a brain. Fucking creepy. They better have this place shored up tomorrow; I don't need this shit.

Re: Bike [Day 0]
Day One

The last sighting was over three years ago. Old Toothless Tom Beeler was curled on his mattress behind the 76 dumpster when he swears he woke up hearing a grindin’ chain. It was late night, best I recall… maybe two or three in the morning. Dixie Avenue was dark and dead; ain’t nobody out and about in Juniper Grove at that hour. So you tell me what in tarnation was that boy doing on that bicycle in the middle of the damn road, starin’ straight through Tom’s soul like a gat damn devil raised to Earth? Most folk didn’t believe Tom, seein’ as how he was a crazy old man with garbage for decoration and no more’n eight fingers. But that’s just the last sighting. People been seeing that boy long as anyone remembers.
Day 1 is underway. You have 48 hours to eliminate someone if you so choose.

Re: Bike [pregame]
DAY 0

The haunting of Juniper Grove was a story your parents told you when you were very young, a frightful tool meant to ensure obedience and the perseverance of cookies in the jar. Nobody is quite certain where the story originated or who told it first; indeed there is no evidence that it reaches back to the grandparents' generation. Its efficacy cannot be doubted anyway, and children in the schoolhouse are known to weaponize the tale against younger students with an unfortunate surplus of lunch money and innocence.
It is Day 0. Day 1 will begin at 6:00 PM EDT tomorrow the 9th of January. You may treat this day as an ordinary game day, but there will be no voting until Day 1 begins. The primary purpose of Day 0 is to allow players to become aware the game has started and to check in. The thread is open.
If you have any questions, please direct them to me privately! Thanks gang.

Note:
Characters are randomly assigned to alignments: any character can be a civilian or a mafioso (there are no independents). However, characters are not randomly assigned to roles. Any character with which a non-vanilla role is associated has been given an innocuous fake character claim.
Also, I'm going to be a tad late (maybe 10 minutes). Bear with me.
