You've had yourself a fine start indeed.DarlingMonroe wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 6:50 pm I would like to shout-out myself in the Best Newcomer category.I joined The Syndicate two months before 2023 ended, and I am very proud to have ended within the Top 23* of 2023's Top Players with 2 wins (one as Mafia w/ Wilgy with both of us surviving until the end, and another one as Independent).

Re: 2023 Socky Awards - VOTING OPEN UNTIL FEB 3RD
Best Role Use / Gambit is probably the toughest vote every year. I'll promote one that immediately comes to mind:
In Severance, RondoDimBuckle was mafia and on the chopping block late in his side (the Evening thread). He claimed to have had an extra vote placed on him (a lie), as many players genuinely had prior. In the moment it struck me, the host, as pointless and unnecessarily risky. But it helped him to assert a stronger posture in the game, and even when he later recanted the claim, he still managed to convince a roster that very much wanted to vote him out that they shouldn't do so. It was a hell of a personal comeback.

On that note, I wish to stump for the Don't Starve mafia team. I was in it, but forget about me. Focus on this squad:
Seanzie
Porscha
motobot
The first two spent the whole game hearing about how bad their mafia metas are and how they can't fake it. And motobot was in his first mafia role ever.
Mafia sweep.

Re: 2023 Socky Awards - VOTING OPEN UNTIL FEB 3RD
I compiled a list of Lifetime Achievement Award candidates on an objective basis -- everyone eligible by year of registering that has made at least 2,000 posts (or very close to that):
Hopefully this makes it easier. It'll probably make it harder.
NOTE: the 2,000 posts benchmark was just a way for me to narrow the field, but you do NOT have to use that benchmark yourself.
Spoiler: show
