Chess is probably my favorite "board" game. I don't know why it feels awkward to call it a board game when it's clearly a board game. Uh. I appreciate though that it is truly nothing but strategy, and the element of chance does not exist in any objective capacity. Naturally though I enjoy it more when playing against non-regulars so I can feel like I know what I am doing.

No doubt about it, and I understand the appeal. I think that's actually why I am less enthusiastic about those, especially MLB -- the playoffs feel almost randomized, so being the best team only barely matters. To me it makes the 162 game regular season feel less meaningful.

It seems an unpopular opinion these days, but I still think the NFL playoffs are the most intense. You only get one game. My favorite postseason is the NBA though which everyone else seems to hate, so don't mind me. All four are great.

I assume you're a fellow Ultimate player? I actually prefer to throw flicks, which seems backwards from most people I know. I'm definitely much better at getting open and catching than making good passes. Hoping to improve on that more this season.

I would play every day if I could only find the time and the people. It is my favorite hobby period, with its only sports peer being table tennis. The flick is also my preferred toss, with a forehand grip and a a low release. It's where I get the most power and deep accuracy. Sometimes I rely on it too much though and lose the standard backhand toss.

Uh. Yeah I'm obsessed. Somehow though despite living on a college campus, finding people to play with is harder than ever. When/where did you get started with the world's greatest sport?
