Turnip Head wrote:I'm going to go ahead and vote TinyBubbles. :ponder:
What? Sure, TinyBubbles was working on flawed logic but instead of questioning it you just jump right on a vote? Seems like another easy way out.
Turnip Head wrote:I don't think Elo's bad. Especially her recent reactions read genuinely to me.

I thought TinyBubbles' vote for Elo was sketchy because, if you look back through Bubbles' posts, she was setting up suspicion of Bass and only Bass, but then MP and Jay make one post each talking about Elo being a better option, and Bubbles immediately rolls with that. The line "If you're a civvie Elo I'm so so sorry!" reeks a bit because if Bubbles was really sorry she wouldn't have voted a player she's not suspicious of. And I think it's a little hokey to allude to someone being lynched when you're literally the first person to cast a vote for that person.

That said, I thought I saw one thing in Bubbles' filter that made me think she's on the level and just playing a little loosely. So I guess what I'd like is Bubbles' answer to the following "Why abandon your read on Bass and piggyback onto the suspicion of Jay and MP?" I believe Bubbles mentioned trusting those two, and I don't think they're baddies either atm, but it doesn't mean they're right about everything either.

MP, can you once again lay out why you don't think Elo's thought process can come from a civ perspective? We've both played many games with her, we both know her perspective is not always the same as everyone else's, so I'm curious exactly what you're seeing there. And what happened to your splints' suspicion?
Interesting, especially when paired with this...
fingersplints wrote:Why are you trying to divert suspicion to me TH? I thought we were friends :(
WIFOM WIFOM WIFOM
BR was critical of TH for his Day 2 "vote" on Bubbles. this is inherently defensive of Bubbles simultaneously. it could be said that this would be a foolish way for a mafioso to link themselves to a team mate (Bubbles) when the atmosphere of the thread was starting to turn against BR by this point. i think she was more likely to start distancing if not outright ignoring her team. but that's WIFOM so i won't award too many points for it.

Bubbles herself has never acknowledged BR in any post. she voted for Bass very early in Day 3.

~~~
i don't think Bubbles looks great mostly for having said nothing. she has the lowest post count among active players which in itself could be viewed as mildly problematic, but the nothing at all on the only confirmed scum can only be viewed as a negative i think. one is forced to decide whether her behavior can be explained purely by her newness to this game, or rather her newness to the mafia alignment. the latter poses significant challenges for an already quiet player, so i take the notion seriously.
It's definitely newness to the game! I can barely keep up with the posts, had no concrete opinion on BlackRock thats why I didnt mention him. Super glad he ended up being a baddie lol, though of course can't take any credit for it. I have never played a game like this before except once and in general, I'm not used to disbelieving what people write on the internet. It's a bit of a culture shock to think everyone of you could have an ulterior motive.
Anyway golden what have I said that's pinging you?? Kind of disappointed tbh, thought you had my back :( unless golden 2.0 is golden ressurected to the dark side.. say it ain't so, dear golden. I thought your intuition was pretty accurate?
Hi, yeah sorry about the hastiness, as I said before I'm trying to not miss the vote due to RL
Anyway voted Bass because of what I said before and also because Sloonei suspected he was a baddie, and I trusted sloonei was a good guy and he was.. so his opinions are valid IMO. Also Im a little surprised about how people like JJJ and DDL feel Bass is Legit now, I'm not saying they are mafia, but I don't see what's so different about Bass that he is in the clear now. he did vote Golden. and also he voted pretty late for Elo which was suspicious, Elo was already going down at that point, his vote wouldn't have made a difference but it would earn him town cred.
Hahhaa I love this! YEAHHHHH go civs! Boo Eloh! I was so afraid Eloh was innocent, it would've been a repeat of the Spacedaisy lynch from the last game. -does a little dance-
On a side note, RIP John Nash! I just heard that he had died in a car accident, along with his wife. It's very sad. His ideas on game theory were brilliant.
I haven't read all through 40+ pages yet (sigh) but I noticed a few people think I'm a baddie. No, I'm still a good guy. I'm not sure what to say to convince you all; the truth will come out sooner or later. Btw I didn't merely jump on Elo because of what JJJ said or group consensus, Elo seemed suspect because she flip flopped on Golden, and a lot of her defensive posts after that seemed ad hoc. And I didn't retreat on Bass, still think he's guilty (more or less, i'd have to catch up on his more recent posts), but I was so wrong about baddies in the last game, I didn't want to trust only my own opinion this time. As for why I voted earlier, I explained already: exams, RL priorities. I didn't want to miss the vote AGAIN and get kicked out of the game or something worse. Yes, it's a little unfair to vote without getting all the facts together and giving people a chance to defend themselves or explain their position better, but it's better than being thrown out of the game ><
Anyway, at this point I'm fairly certain JJJ is a civilian. And Bass is still on my radar. Also I read back some pages (it's like searching for a needle in a haystack) that Turnip Head was going to vote for me but actually didn't. Wtf? What was that about. Why even say that unless it was meant to trigger some debate about me. Not something a civilian would do IMO. Turnip head you are on my radar now :fist:
at the moment my top suspect is probably Elohcin. i'll re-evaluate everyone later in the day phase though and see where i stand. i don't like to hold stubbornly onto Day 1 suspicions moving forward in a game.
Ooh sneaky, maybe I'll have to recant my opinion about you being a good guy :p
I'm not milking the noob card I just skim a lot and miss things, it's as lame as that >_>
Anyway, I'm just gonna go ahead and Vote Elohcin. I'm assuming you're not a lying dirty wolf in sheep's clothing misleading me; apart from Bass I don't really know who else to vote for and don't really want to spend more time on it. Elohcin if you're innocent i'm TRULY SORRY and to everyone else, please don't bandwagon. I don't want to be responsible for lynching an innocent. That's probably what got Golden killed.
Also, I can't emphasize this enough.
I'm certain that Epi is mafia.
We haven't seen an Elo and Epi mafia duo since Champions '13, yeah? About time we saw it again, I suppose. ;)
I'm getting mafia vibes from Epi too
would you be willing to vote for Epi today? to pursue his lynch?
Hold up, he's already been killed? And Metalmarsh too, damn. RIP guys!
If you're asking would I be willing to vote to confirm Epi was mafia then yes I would. But not metalmarsh cause I was mostly neutral about him
Who's your top suspect? (I confess I'm still not totally up to date with the thread and I'm busy studying for exams, so probably going to vote for someone soon instead of spending too much time on this and risking missing the vote again.)
I still feel Bass is guilty and so I might vote him.
Also I think Sloonei, Movingpictures and YOU are all good guys, cause of the similarities in opinions and I just sort of like you? Yeah I'm naive like that. Especially Movingpictures with his rainbow lists lol very cool addition to the thread. And if I'm wrong and you're all stroking your chins and snorting cocaine out of hundred dollar bills in the background somewhere, well the economy affects us all and you'd get karmic revenge at some point ><
OK good plenty of time :) as for who to vote for I am honesty reluctant to call out anyone, because I would have to go through the posts in more detail, but based on the fact that golden was innocent and voted him out, bass_the_clever is on my radar. Which simultaneously makes everyone else who voted him on my good guy vibes list.
But what if Bass is also good?
I know its not much of a theory lol. But in the last game golden eyed the main bad guy practically from the beginning, so I'm inclined to trust his instincts
I noticed you voted bass too, what were your reasons? (If you've already said them somewhere in the thread I'm sorry!)
Also I'm astonished there are already 20+ pages for only day1! How do you keep with it?! I haven't read all, I assume golden has been lynched? If so its a shame! He is not who I was expecting, but does talk a lot so maybe that has something to do with it. I remember in the last game he was repeatedly voted for being talkative.
Lol OK I'll try to post. Not seeing the case against Golden tbh. If I had to vote someone now, it would probably be a random. BTW how much time do we have left? My tablet browser isn't showing times
Also I can see how my comment about not wanting to get lynched for saying that wrong thing would ironically make me seem mafia, but I'm a good guy. Just not very good at this game! And at the risk of sounding even more mafia, I'll confess I kinda wish I was a baddie, so I'd have a chance to play from that angle. I imagine this game is more fun when you're actively pulling the wool over other people's eyes lol. When you're civilian it seems more like being interrogatd, like everything you say could be twisted against you, or like a deer in the headlights :eek:
