This seemed more productive than I anticipated. Take conclusions with some grains of salt since I am not working with great sample sizes of posts here, but I still drew them. Like I said, I have not saved a pile of notes. I just used my eyeballs. I can expand on any interaction upon request.

It's a decent review for Soneji. It's bad for Long Con.

I'll also note that while Long Con might not look great here, I thought he looked decent when I ISO'd Jack.

The nicest compromise would be for all of us to set it 69 posts per page.

I just got around to reading Myo's bigger posts from the last few pages. Her tone still strikes me as firmly civilian. This is her first game here, so we're all new faces, and our format itself is something of a departure from what she's used to. I can understand if she isn't as quick to hurl reads around as others. I see effort and that's what matters to me.

How do you know that Jack wasn't trying to salvage Civ cred by bussing his partner?

I don't, but my read is that he had to react quickly and he wasn't necessarily expecting to be lynched himself, but he acted rapidly in self-preservation. My instinct there would be that he turned to the readily available civilian counterwagon to himself, which would be you.

Myo is purely a tone read. I spent a little bit of time early in the game poking her with general mafia questions and her answers felt like somebody who was eager to play the game and start solving, but that hasn't translated into a ton of reads so far.

When I dropped a placeholder vote on Colin (i.e. not an actual vote that means anything at all), Jack responded with confusion. It didn't even occur to me at the time that the confusion stemmed from the vote on Colin (now Jay). A placeholder vote is essentially a non-vote, or at least that's how I intended it and always interpret it when people use the term. My sense is that his primary motive here was to push me a little, either for optics or just to test the waters in the Sloonei Suspicion game. But ColinIsJay is tangentially relevant in all this, and it might mean something. I'd lean town, since it seems like a bit of a risk for Jack to react like this at the very first mention in the game of his absentee partner.

If I'm picking out one moment from Daisy's ISO that doesn't sit well with me, it's this. I color coded the three separate ideas conveyed in this near-deadline post.

Green - I'm not sure what precisely Daisy means when she says "Dear God", but the implication seems to be that there's four pages of content she has not read. This leads into...
Blue - She will need to resort to a vote based on previously-formed reads. I do not object on principle. With so little time, she can't possibly be expected to take in everything that's happened in her absence. But...
Orange - We have established that Daisy is voting for her pre-existing suspect (Soneji) and won't/can't take in the previous four pages of the thread in time for it to impact her decision. Her vote has been cast, and the tone of the Blue sentence makes it seem final, set in stone. But then she tacks on a question about one of the competing wagons, as though she has interest in it enough to merit a vote change. But Blue and Orange don't mesh. Green and Blue do, and then Orange feels tacked on out of obligation. "I am supposed to be interested in this case, so I will ask."

Things were pretty hectic at this time, so it's understandable if she didn't see that Jack was starting to receive votes too. She commented after the fact to say she "never would have voted him". And I note no further interest in LC. In fact, all three of her Day 2 posts are exclusively focused on self-defense with the brief exception of some shade directed at ted for his suspicion against her. I do not struggle to read her deadline post as that of a mafioso who showed up at the end of what seemed to be a safe lynch, so she just went through the motions and checked off the boxes which required checking. Her follow-ups on Night 1/Day 2 do not reflect an earnest interest in solving the game. I understand that it can be frustrating and overwhelming to become Suspect #1 overnight like she has, but self-defense can't accomplish anything if you're not also trying to help us find another target for suspicion. So [mention]Spacedaisy[/mention] if you want us to vote for somebody else today, help us figure out who that should be.

I'd feel more comfortable voting for soneji today than yesterday. Daisy is still on the table as well.

I don't think any of these are real reasons to believe she's scum Except maybe the last one, she was directed to the vote count record and still had nothing to say

The first one is more a moment of utter confusion that I can't place anywhere sensible, so I'm lingering on it as something that bears consideration.

The middle point is the one that resonates the most with me. It feels like Jiwon just wanted to use that line of defense and shoehorned it in at the first opportunity. And I still don't know why it is something that would be used at all.

But... there is a player named Long Con who is also posting in the thread. His name appears on the poll and on the player list on Page 1 in addition to his own posts. "Who is Long Con?" is a question that never ever needs to exist. This post exists. Part of me wants to spend time dissecting that emoji, whether it conveys anything about the relationship between these two players. But I can't draw anything conclusive from that, I'm sorry. This post feels somewhat obligatory and I'm not loving Jiwon's Day 2 so far. That has nothing to do with this specific moment in the thread, but there's limited Jiwon-evidence in Jack's ISO and she's on my shortlist for today. There is no evidence elsewhere in Jack's ISO that he actually cared about this post.

Jack also goes out of his way to advocate for inactive lynches. He is not incapable of bussing/distancing early in games, so I would not eliminate the possibility that he has a teammate in this pool. Especially if we consider that he's just paying lip service, knowing that we have at least one highly viable replacement waiting in the wings at the time. That's not a direct accusation against nutella (or Jay), just an observation about the possibility of a quiet partner for jack somewhere. That could be Daisy or Myo or Jiwon as well as either of the two subs.

soneji, daisy, and jiwon are the players I have the most direct concerns about here. Jay/nutella are indirectly linked, and myo could be as well. I don't feel like there's anything which points directly to any of those three players, though, and if there's suspicion to be brought against them it's for reasons not contained in Jack's posts.

Daisy does seem honest, and the case against her isn't exactly cut-and-dry. I had a look at Jiwon's ISO, and it doesn't contain a lot beyond deciding to sheep Mac, and a suspicion of tedxtr that I have to go back and investigate.

For one, I was put off by LC's response which seemed to express a mutual exoneration of Daisy. My vote change was in no way meant to reflect a change in my read on Daisy, but LC's response seemed as if he was latching onto my vote to push that angle. In doing so he also presents/bolsters an argument against the new player with a low-key playstyle which is, again, slightly off-putting.

I understand that I'm also voting for Jiwon at this stage, but I did so primarily as a point of emphasis for discussion. LC came in guns blazing. That's a more aggressive discussion than I was aiming for. Maybe the reason I am reading LC negatively here is that he responded to both aspects of my post (unvote daisy/vote jiwon) in ways that run contrary to my own intentions. But I can see a glint of opportunism in here. That doesn't need to imply anything specific about Daisy herself. A mafia Long Con might just want to appear proactive and not take part in the easy civilian lynch.

It's also entirely possible that LC is town and either one or both of Daisy or Jiwon is bad. But LC did the most recent thing that I found suspicious, so my vote's gonna sit on him for a bit.

Daisy is guess #1. I do not have a solid guess #2 at the moment. Ted is town, mac is town. I think myo is town. I'm not actively scum reading nanook and nutella, but I'm more hesitant to award them the same credit as I do Mac for yesterday's lynch. You look how you're supposed to look right now. soneji was the biggest consensus suspect during the day yesterday, but I didn't feel great about that case.

Of the players I haven't named yet, sig and motobot would be the two I'd remove from the lynch pool first, but that's not something I'm fully prepared to do. I think that leaves LC and jiwon.
