Because I don’t yesterday’s B option to be forgotten. I did not love the way the Scotty wagon came together. I plan on looking into those votes specifically. But, prior to doing that, my instinct isnto leave a vote on the other player who was on the table yesterday.

I was just being semantically pedantic. That's a fine definition. But, like, another way to look at "low-hanging fruit" is "a player who already has heavy momentum working against them."pyxxy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:54 pmOh, maybe I'm misusing the term.

Unfortunately, we don't know why it happens, so we haven't been able to address it yet.

Scotty's reads list felt very uninspired to me, Pokemon name adaptions notwithstanding. His "suspects" were mostly just the people who have been the least involved, plus a couple token suspects that I would classify as "easy" (Dennis and pyxxy). When I called him out for it, he initially reacted defensively, but then turned a bit sheepish when I doubled down on the accusation. It was an uninspiring moment for Scottington.

This is your generic volume read. High volume = Town Creature. Low volume = Not town Creature.
I do not want to claim that this is 100% accurate. But it's something that I've seen discussed, and I have definitely seen a more active and engaged Creature than the one we've got in this game.

Re: [DAY 1] Literal WWerecreatures Invade Syndicate Zoo: An SDN Crossover Game
I had a question about one single post he made, but he has not returned to the thread since I asked him about it.falcon45ca wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 3:02 pmWhat are you seeing in Marmot?Sloonei wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 2:54 pmAre there any topics you want to bring more attention to in the thread?falcon45ca wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 2:52 pm
I feel it has bogged down discussion on a single topic, and it's also flattering to see my name so many times

@falcon45ca Do you have any comment about all the commotion surrounding your name in this game so far?

What makes you confident that experience will be repeated here?SportPonies wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 12:05 pmZenge has hardcore wrongly tunneled me at least once before, so I'm not really interested in repeating the interactions I had with him there, especially since I like him irl.Seanzie wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 12:00 pmMeh, this reaction sits bad with me.SportPonies wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 11:40 am If you’re village, you just undid any good reading you did in Hannibal lol
It's emotionally taxing.

Re: [DAY 1] Literal WWerecreatures Invade Syndicate Zoo: An SDN Crossover Game
Now that I have said all of that, our triumvirate is missing one of its pieces. Falcon has been absent for a lot of this. I tried to engage him earlier and he Simpson gif'd me. I understand there was talk of flu medicine. But he stuck around and made some on-topic comments during a time when there was a lot of fuss around his name. That he was a non-participant in all that commotion is something I want to note.

Re: [DAY 1] Literal WWerecreatures Invade Syndicate Zoo: An SDN Crossover Game
I said that that there was no value in continuing our dialogue, but I think this post highlights where the problem is occurring. I also don't want to come across as though I am avoiding talking to you or that I have found our interactions unpleasant. When I said that there was no value in continuing, I meant that at face value. I felt as though I had said all that I could, and that responding to further questioning would just send us circling even further around the same questions and answers, wasting time and posts and energy.Zenge wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 10:44 pmThat’s fair. But for the second I’ve started this Falcon push they came in to shut it down, claiming “That’s just Falcon” and have refused time and time again to not really answer any questions about my interaction with Falcon.potentialsheltervet wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 10:41 pmI mean... Maybe. Idk. I'm currently torn on falcon. I think Sloonei really just doesn't want to talk to you tbhZenge wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 10:38 pm@potentialsheltervet if Falcon flips scum, there’s no way this isn’t also scum, right? Like this has been too much Falcon defense to not be W/W, right?
Like if you’re going to defend someone you think is village wouldn’t you actually take apart the merits of the case against them instead of giving fake politicians answers that never actually answer the question?
But I think I can take another crack at it that might help to resolve whatever issue. Because I think this post points to a potential blind spot in your reasoning, at least from my perspective. I'll break it down in two parts.
Part the first:
First, I did not arrive the second your Falcon push started. I came along later. You and falcon first started butting heads around midnight my time last night. I chimed in at 1 PM this afternoon my time. But that's pedantry which is not essential to my point. More importantly, I emphatically did not try to "shut it down." I have stressed on multiple occasions throughout our entire dialogue that you should feel free to continue pushing Falcon. Here are the receipts:But from the second I’ve started this Falcon push they came in to shut it down
Spoiler: show
I even stressed very early on that my only intention was to provide you with more context about Falcon as mafia player:
Part the second:
This is where the brunt of my frustration kicks in, and where I think you are getting lost. In the first part of this post, you accuse me of defending Falcon too much. In this second part, you accuse me of not defending Falcon enough. And the reason for that is what I have just endeavored to illustrate above: I am not trying to defend falcon at all. That was never my intention for a single second, and I have gone to considerable lengths to make that very clear. My continued engagement with this subject has been out of an interest in finding common ground with you. But, at every step, you have held onto the notion that I am making an effort to silence, dismiss, or obfuscate your read on Falcon. If anything, I have amplified it while also sticking myself in the middle of it.Like if you’re going to defend someone you think is village wouldn’t you actually take apart the merits of the case against them
If my intention was to defend Falcon, as you allege, then you are correct that I would "actually take apart the merits of the case against them." That would be the prudent thing to do. But this has never been of interest to me, because I am not here to defend Falcon.
I have responded to all of your questions accordingly. I have attempted to stress each time that I have little input with regards to the actual substance of your interactions with Falcon. It was a very typical Day 1 headbutt. You both nitpicked each other's words and made sweeping accusations based on snap judgments about each other's characters. Mafia 101. I have not engaged with it in more detail because I genuinely do not think there is much substance to the argument itself. But it has clearly generated a lot of substance, so it was a wonderful opening play.
also: I use male pronouns.

I am indeed not going to answer. This is not a productive discussion. I'll engage with you on other subjects as they come up. But I have said everything I have to say about this particular subject.

Re: [DAY 1] Literal WWerecreatures Invade Syndicate Zoo: An SDN Crossover Game
The reason I ask is because I fail to see the benefit of continuing this dialogue unless you are actively suspicious of me.Zenge wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 10:07 pmNot great. Especially since you refused to answer this question and just asked another question, which was about how I’m reading you.
Villager’s don’t generally care as much about how others are reading them and are usually more willing to answer extremely basic and simple questions.
I feel as though I have answered you in sufficient detail. I have gone into more detail than I thought necessary. I even addressed your most recent question in the post you were responding to: You painted Falcon as suspicious for not asking you why you disliked the Miranda wagon, when it was not unreasonable to assume that Falcon had assumed your objection was that the votes came too quickly.
You have asked me to respond to a bunch of things, but I am failing to see what value is being gained right now. It feels as though you are hounding me simply as a reflex. So how are you reading me, and why are my answers to your questions so important?
