My main motivation when I was shouting about KZA earlier was to try to get people to talk about a different name. It gained no traction. That can just be because I didn't have a good argument about KZA. I didn't. But I had something, and I think KZA is the type of player we could begin a fruitful conversation at (light content but not no content. Taken some stances, but has been fairly lowkey). But the entirety of our focus seems to be on c4, chop, BoKnows, Jack, and now Rej. It has been difficult for anything else to gain traction.
To be fair, I asked you about ChopChop, and you responded with a GTH read and what looked like a lack of interest in pursuing that read further.

He'd already claimed green team, and considering his lack of attention to this game, I believe he looked at the post, saw red on the player name, and assumed wolf.
I mean, that’s not an incorrect assumption to make. I wouldn’t even call it an assumption. It’s just accurate reading comprehension. Is grogu town for claiming to be town and then reading the host posts?
Actually, if Grogu is on a green team, he doesn't care that much if Vault City dies.

If this team is functioning like a normal team should, that message would have been peer reviewed in the team chat before it got sent out. Somebody should have noticed that Esooa's name was missing.
As a wise man once said: Mafia ChopChop doesn't run it by BTSC.
Night actions are usually highly coordinated tho
What are the chances that the other Enclave members said something like "Chop, send a message to Daisy or something and try to fish for a claim", and they don't review the exact wording?
that would depend on the teammates. I'm too much of a control freak to let a message like that go out without checking it myself. But not everyone would be so neurotic about it.

I feel like you would also be in that camp, along with spf. Ordinarily I'd say Epi, but I feel like he's taking it easy in this game regardless of alignment, so I don't know if he'd doublecheck his student's teammate's work for obvious errors right now. Something tells me nanook would be on alert.
Mac would be crafty enough to come up with the plan, but based on his thread presence he might not be tuned in enough to check the message before sending it out. I feel similar about LC and Marmot.

I don't know enough about the scum games of everyone else to say how they'd handle having that role in the hands of a teammate.
It also depends on the person sending the message. I’m very careful sending that kind of shit, it makes me nervous, so I would have shared it with my team if it were me, and I would’ve waited until they all told me it looked good.

I don’t know what Chop would do though.
For sure.

Based on the way he has responded to things today, he does not strike me as the most cautious or meticulous player out there.

That is a big brain theory. But neither Chop nor Daisy are the kind to come up with a strategy this sneaky, which means there is a mastermind directing this sequence of events from BTSC. Esooa could, I could, neither of us are Enclave. Mac could be the mastermind, but it doesn't suit his style to go full Light Yagami in scum chat and afk in the thread.

Who do you think is the mastermind if this is true? I lean towards it not being true and Daisy just being town. The mix of paranoia and emotion in her post was struck very precisely, and it is not easy to fake.
I don't believe it's true.

but i could see lc pulling something like that. maayyyyybe epi or dom. it's got a very old school syndicate feel.

but i'm not seriously entertaining the theory.
if it's got an old school syndicate feel that I'd also have to include daisy's name on the list. let's not assume she's not a capable schemer.
Aw shucks :daisy:

Here I was a bit disappointed that the new people don’t have the frame of reference to think I’m sneaky.

Regardless of that, you are speculating about who is bad based upon a bunch of things needing to be true.

ChopChop must be Enclave
I must also be Enclave
Someone else is a mastermind Enclave.

It’s silly because the premise falls apart with the fact that I am not Enclave.

Also I don’t trust you anymore.

Someone who is so deeply embedded in the towncore that they face suspicion if towncore members start dying and they are still alive, so they fake a PR hunt.

Possibly a vigilante, with the Vault City kill blocked by a doctor.
I'm not gonna check but doesn't Vault City have a limited number of factional kills? If so, it wouldn't be out of the question for them to just holster.
Worth considering. This would be a questionable decision imo but wolves are not known for always playing optimally
It’s very possible the two teams just alternate kills each night. Vault City on Evens, Enclave on Odds.

Alison wrote: Thu Mar 04, 2021 4:42 am I think very few mafia teams would kill Wilgy just because it points to nobody when [SPF, Sloonei, Alison, Esooa] are all alive and townread, unless they have 2 or more wolves buried deep.
You know esooa better than I do, but I feel like there's a lot of players floating around the mafia world who aim for low key kills on Night 1 to try to keep town in the dark.

I haven't played with esooa before so in my mind this is her first game on the syndicate.

Pros: Most definitely a doctor
Cons: Most definitely a doctor
Gameplan: Most definitely a doctor
Misc: Most definitely a doctor

It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
Wild theory: Vault City is comprised entirely of people who don't know wilgy and thought this was a role claim.

Less wild theory: Wilgy is the safest kill choice because it points to no one and we all say "why would anyone kill wilgy?"

Alternative less wild theory: Wilgy wasn't killed by a mafia team.

i'm surprised at how little i know about jack's behind-the-scenes presence as scum. i think we've only been teammates once, and i was a sub who got chopped almost immediately.

LC and Mac are the only two on this roster who I could see noticing the omission and then saying "Yeah, send it out anyway lol." But I don't think that's what happened.

Sloonei wrote: Thu Mar 04, 2021 2:43 am Is it realistic to think that the Enclave member holding that role would actually forget to include the name of their nightkill victim?
