Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 6
To elaborate on sig a little: he's been all over the map, "inconsistent" with no seeming regard for making sense or appearing good. I think these are mostly the reasons people have used to justify voting for him. But I see all of that behavior and read him as civilian. He doesn't care how he looks. He's playing a fast and loose game that I think is indicative of a civilian who is trying to feel things out in a thread with very little tangible evidence. I don't want to vote for him.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 6
Do you have a case on LoRab? I have not seen one yet. She has been our least vocal tribe member, but I don't attribute this to her alignment one way or the other, and I do not blame her for it. It seems like she's just been busy. I am open to a case on her, but at this point I'm firmly reading her as town.
This place is empty today. I think everyone's just twiddling their thumbs waiting for colonialbob to die and to trigger whatever his death will trigger. Meh. This tribe desperately needs something to happen at this point. we've just been bystanders while the other tribe plays their game so far. I'm gonna continue voting for Marmot.
I expected there to be another challenge today. I was gonna recommend we throw it to let one of their players have a look at our thread.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 6
I would disagree with this.
I think most people were in this camp. One being that I was adamant the silencer could be civ and the mafia put two and two together
I thought the general assumption was that you survived because the other tribe had a stronger consensus for the fifth day in a row.or since I didn't seem to be able to be lynched and was so nonchalant. Voting for me now when literally everyone else who has been NK'd got a pass is scummy and saying my role is mafia is scummy these are people who are tunneling and looking for a reason to lynch me with no good reasoning what so ever.
I do agree that the argument about your first role being scummy is a shoe-horned suspicion. I don't get behind it. It's possible, but that's not a conclusion I want to jump to.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 6
Marmot was my top suspect yesterday. I wasn't around much, but I felt it and expressed the suspicion more than once.
I would not say that I hid behind my meta. I referenced it in self-defense, but i did not use it to refrain from playing with aggression. If anything, my meta reference necessitated that I post more.
I've been expecting to die every night. I suspect that the double life thing is postponing my first death. Killing me is usually done to shut me up when I'm town. Killing me here would not shut me up, and would only give people more evidence to read me as town.
I am directly accusing Marmot of making posts that were designed to make him look like an active townie generating discussion, but without actually turning those prods into anything productive. He should respond to that and others can decide how they feel about it. I don't need him to though.
Why was sig nightkilled?

what's more, I don't see why we should lynch sig the day after he's been nightkilled. Or try to, at any rate. I voted for him out of solidarity yesterday, but Marmot's been my top scum read for a few days now, and sig has been, at best, a vague suspect, but for the most part I feel good about him.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 1
My first major concern with Marmot was that he was making empty prods of players to appear as a driving force in the game, but he never followed up on these prods at all. Here's a couple early examples:
The first time I remember stating suspicion against him, and his response was to take cover behind his meta:
Here's another collection of mid-game posts where he seems to be trying to check off the "Active participant" box without really producing much:Maybe it's unfair of me to label them as such, but these all feel like hollow prods to me. I don't see him doing much with the responses he gets and they don't feel particularly directed toward anything.
If there's a specific incident I take issue with, it was this small exchange the two of us had a few days ago (I've wrapped the whole thing in quote brackets for visual appeal):
Vote Marmot, 2018.
Followed two hours later with this:
And no visible attempt anywhere to do anything with the questions he had asked previously, giving me reason to doubt that he cared at all about his own line of investigation.
The first time I remember stating suspicion against him, and his response was to take cover behind his meta:
Uninspiring.
Here's another collection of mid-game posts where he seems to be trying to check off the "Active participant" box without really producing much:
Spoiler: show
If there's a specific incident I take issue with, it was this small exchange the two of us had a few days ago (I've wrapped the whole thing in quote brackets for visual appeal):
If I were to articulate my suspicion of Marmot in one word, it would be listless. It feels like he's going through the motions of being a townie, but without the direction or the emotion of a player who is genuinely trying to solve the game.Places a joking vote on me. Not furreal.
I asked directly whether or not he actually suspected me. "No" was his answer. Marmot does not suspect me. Noted.
So I followed up:I was lead to believe that you think I am civilian because you stated "no" when asked if you suspect me. Sure you can say I'm a null read. But I refuse to accept that at the juncture of the game in which this exchange took place, especially when I have ~142 posts. "No" suspicion for this player should indicate a town read, but Marmot won't commit to that stance. I'm really just trying to get him to follow up on the read he seemed to hint at earlier, but he refuses to do so.I don't think I was reaching seeing as I was directly responding to a read you had hinted at a few minutes earlier. This seems like the marmot trying to weasel out of a read.Marmot wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2018 8:26 pmCurrently, I think you're abstracting my vote for you into something bigger. I voted for you as a joke. That's it. I also don't understand what you mean by "I had a chance to vote for you". Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 5
I've decided that Jack's strategy is, in a vacuum, probably the most effective way to approach a lynch at this stage of this game. However, I don't like it for any of our options. I might even say I'd prefer to lynch niju over INH, but... that's not really something I want tk do.
The other tribe is better positioned to do this. They're the ones who've actually been lynching players. They have 5 days worth of votes they can analyze in the light of any given player's alignment. We've just been having presumed townies getting picked off night after night. But they can't currently read our discussion and, last I checked, they didn't really understand what was going on in this game.

INH, on the one hand you blast other people's cases as "random and emotion bases", but then on the other you champion your own sig and spacedaisy reads as somehow superior to other cases that exist. What makes those more valid than others?
Also stop blasting emotion-based reads. They work.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 1
In reading LoRab's response to me from last night, I realized that these comments are about me. I had interpreted them as being about sig. I really wasn't sure what she was getting at because I am a big dope. I've gathered at long last that she's saying I reversed my opinion of sig, I think, and that that is something she viewed as suspicious. This makes much more sense than what I was trying to piece together of LoRab's Day 1 vote and subsequent posts. I've been struggling to come up with suspects, so I feel like I've been trying to read LoRab as bad because in my head it just has to be her. But as I'm looking at her posts I don't really think I can make a convincing case right now.
I don't have a suspect right now. It's Day 5 and I have no confidence in any vote that I might cast. That means I can go anywhere.
Marmot's a player I'd be interested in looking at. At certain points he's been solidly involved in driving the discussion, but that hasn't really been a consistent position of his, and sometimes he just appears to be coasting. I could see him as a baddie that's trying to stay just a little bit ahead of things, but not so much that he risks sticking his neck out. Maybe I'll vote for him. Yeah, let's vote for Marmot.

The Day 1 lynch appeared to be an accident. They were trying to keep the tally close to test the haiku protection thing, or something like that, and some last-minute confusion pushed votes onto Quin.
