Epignosis has another side mission/speed game in signups that just went up here.

Apparently we don’t have a heist in signups right now. Heists are the bee’s knees and the easiest game type to run.

Plymouth, MA is my hometown, on the southeast coast by Cape Cod. Where are these shows at?

I woke up this morning with a determination to "take advantage of the nice weather." It's -3 degrees celsius, but the sun is shining and there's no overpowering gusts of wind. It was like a dream and I enjoyed a very frigid jog in the park.

We're at -30 celsius with the wind chill. I don't plan on going back outside today. Or tomorrow, apparently, because i just got another email letting me know that the school will be closed for a second straight day. that's my entire first week of classes snuffed out by snow.

I drove all day through a bunch of snow and didn’t even get a trophy.

Tomorrow I’m returning to my residence in a frozen hellscape totally submerged in snow, and I’m very excited for it.

I’ve found that border crossing is entirely dependent on the attitude of particular guards. I’ve had one experience of an overzealous guard who spent a couple of minutes grilling everybody individually. That line moved painfully slow and we quickly figured out why when we got to the front of it. I’ve had others who ask a handful of questions but go through them quickly. I’ve had others who just ask the bare essentials and wish me a good day after only about 30 seconds.

I just moved to within a few minutes of the Canadian border and also like sandwiches.

Is the weather always so severe? I was driving back to my hotel from dinner two nights ago and it went from no rain to flash flooding in 15 minutes.

I am mostly settled into my new place. Classes start next week. It’s a huge relief, life feels like it’s in motion again.

I was just getting my haircut and there was a mother at the barber shop with her two young sons. I’m not a parent, I have no experience with bearing and raising children and don’t know what that’s like. But to me that brand of parenting seems more harmful than good. Of any of the myriad reasons you can give to keep a kid inside, that’s not one that I’d encourage. You’re instilling paranoia and anxiety in your kid by telling him that The World is out to get him, and by extension restrict his childhood independence. If we magnify that mindset, a kid will grow up afraid of what’s out there and remain dependent when they shouldn’t be. Maybe, i dunno, my stomach turned when I heard this woman I don’t know anything about say those words.

This is how I'd sum up the first game I ever hosted as well. It was on RYM so it is now lost in internet purgatory, but it was infamously known simply as "Game 8" when the community was still up and running.
We were all still new to the game so the community as a whole was in that experimental stage where we were just trying to figure out what worked for us. Long story short, I ended up having to set an unbreakable RYM record for modkills in a game, we had two scum partners bus each other hardcore out of the gate (harhol & MrMungbean, if my memory is correct), and the game concluded with a botched lynch tally and an inconclusive resolution. It remains the only draw I've ever seen in mafia. Train wreck that it was, everyone told me it was a fantastic game to play in.

I like how colorful the syndicate is becoming
