Stealing spoons? That's a waste of time, Skyrim needs me! I'm gonna pick every flower and pluck wings off of butterflies instead.

Re: Mafia at Other Sites - La Cosa Nostra
I could sign up as a replacement, if you think you'll need any. 1-3 weeks from now will probably still be a busy time for me, but i'll be nearing the finish line by then.NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:20 pmDepends how many signups, I would expect D1 to start no more than 48 hours after signups close though.Sloonei wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:56 pmWhat’s the expected time table for this? Re: Mafia at Other Sites - La Cosa Nostra
novaselinenever I took a look at OroJackson to see what games are in signups, but I've got a couple questions.
1) How do I create an account? I only see an option to log in to an existing account, but nothing about creating a new one.
2) What are the different distinctions between types of games? I see subforums for "traditional", "regular" and "Town of Salem" style games, but I dunno what each of those means.
3) If you've got any recommendations for specific games that might be the funnest, chuck them at me please.

Re: Mafia at Other Sites - La Cosa Nostra
I definitely intend to sign up for an OJ game soon, but I don't think I can handle a game that size with 24 hour phases at this moment. Sorry nova.

Sabotage one of the others.leetic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 6:10 pm Update on the Bulbagarden game: We have managed to fill the signups. However, apparently Bulbagarden now has a rule where only two mafia games can be running at any given time, and both of those slots are occupied. Thus, it may be a week or more before this game actually begins. I am now working behind the scenes to work out a solution to this issue, but for now, I apologize for the holdup.
But it’s all good, leetic. I’m sure we’ll be underway soon. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

It’s really best at 23 with the way the character pool works out and I have 19 so I could use a few more. Please play nice due to heneral HCRealms laidbackness and some old folks coming out of retirement. If you aren’t mentioned below, I probably think you’re a big meanie head. (Jk. All are welcome.)

@lapluie

@Long Con
Probably getting close to that “Oh you invited so many people except me” threshold.

I signed up for a game at HCRealms while we were down and it still has two open spots left, if anyone wants to help fill it.

I'll probably go watch Legion too. I just finished Mad Men last night so it's time for a new show, and I've heard nothing but very good things about this show.

I'm in.gfishfunk wrote:I am inviting Syndicate players to try a game on the realms. As a mod, I enjoy trying new mechanics, fiddling with styles and things. Dabbling in the Syndicate has made me interested in running something different as a result.
This is a link for a game on HCRealms based on the FX Series Legion. Its very super-power-y and comic-book-ish, which is really what drew people to the Realms to begin with. I will provide more details in that thread as I concoct the rules, the roles, and so on.
Legion features an alternative 1970s-ish world with mutants, humans, and other classic X-Men elements. The series follows David (a powerful mutant) and an interesting supporting cast. gfishfunk games tend to also bring in roles from other media that relate (tangentially in some way).
HCRealms is actually a site dedicated to to a strategic tabletop board game 'Heroclix', where players control teams of super hero miniatures from DC and Marvel comics. As a result (perhaps) Realms games tend to be very narrative driven and mechanically driven. Though I have definitely enjoyed the mechanics I've seen in the Syndicate, I think the mechanics of Realms games occupies more conversation space within the thread.

Re: Mafia at Other Sites - La Cosa Nostra
In case anyone is unaware, the RYM OT board, where we host all our games, currently has a ban against new users. However, we had an old game (#50, I believe) where everyone played anonymously on brand new alternate accounts. These accounts have mostly remained untouched since and should presumably be able to circumvent the new user ban. I just logged on to my account from the game and it works just fine, and I'd be happy to loan it out to anyone who's interested, as long as you don't mind having an even goofier name than Sloonei.
