Yeah I know you said I have LC duty, but I need to see his approach to other people not named Scotty. Reserving judgment.MacDougall wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 12:13 amThis is actually very towny for LC I think. It's an awkward way to frame suspicion for a wolf that has TMI and feels more likely to be genuine.

It could be have the town vig, but ngl either of those are absolutely inoptimal town vig shots and I don’t want to operate in that donkey Kong world.
Couldn’t have been any of the aggro indies.
It could have been courier #5. Could have been, I just don’t know what weird agenda they have to kill a top poster like that.
In any case, it’s certainly not townsiding, so I must operate from the assumption, like Mac is doing, that mafia wanted them dead.
@Mackel sorry, I thought for some reason you were pointing to me being the 8 ball in the corner pocket because Michelle had suspected me for some time. Didn’t realize it was a post count thing.
I think it more likely that
-Michelle had…almost no one town reading her, except me early on.
-Abbi was hitting all her town notes and I don’t think anyone would have a good time finding her wolf any time soon.
I would make my case that I’m not scared of keeping around players that find me wolfy, and plus, wolves might just want to keep me around for later miselim fodder. Will see
SK doesn’t activate kill until N2
Arsonist can’t kill and mark in same night
Courier #5 is just ??? Cheese

Re: Fallout New Vegas: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [DAY 2]
I should mention because I was thinking of Seanzie- he would’ve been a GREAT vig target.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 11:14 pm @Scotty give me your top 3 town please.
@Seanzie yours too please.
If we had a vig, I would have assumed they would’ve shot yesterday. I do not think we have a vig (this is all based on how I would play of course)
Anyway, 3 town? Hmmmmm
So I did some thinking in the night and Dunnstral should be town, but I’m actually thinking they could be exactly a deepwolf in the making. The way they were pocketing me was very smooth and I chalked it up to me just being town as shit yesterday (I know, I know, only a few groupies agreed) but I think I might be getting it all wrong. Might be. Too scared to vote there tho.
That didn’t answer your question.
LanMila had some good back and forth. Not tooo blendy, and not scared to make reads.
Ironically, I think you came out of yesterday being pretty towny. I’ve flip flopped on you in my head and will probably do so as the day goes on, but for now you’re town to me.
I was coming around on Creature. He has emerged in the back half of the day as someone I wouldn’t mind borrowing my sugar

I have….no reason to townread any of those names. Jack at least seemed bouncy and solvey towards end of day, which didn’t set off any warning bells. So there’s that.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 11:14 pm Lower POE

LC
Jack
Chelsea
Talk to me about these reads. Want to hear who disagrees with me and why.
Chelsea I can’t remember literally anything except the vague impression of an exasperated ‘Manny, play with me!’ (Which is grossly exaggerated but that’s my headcanon)
Falcon is absolutely within his wolf meta. I can usually figure him out over a few days, but not hitting town notes atm.
Epi is probably a computer algorithm and never existed to begin with.
LC had been tunneling me for most the day, which is something I want to figure out for alignment. If anything, I feel his aggressiveness is different than his recent town games that I’ve seen. Far less jokey. But importantly, I might be colored because I seem to be the object of his ire. Scumlean

Other mech shit:
If courier #5 is truly the protagonist is the games, i get a feeling they might be able to get info from what roles are actually in the game. That would make sense thematically at least.
Also dunnstral and Ran are top towns to me atm

Haven't seen you do half the stuff he's done so far.
Didn’t think so.
this is hilarious because of how pertinent it is.
When I was in 3rd grade, I had a teacher do an exercise with the class: if we could show that we could roll our tongue, we could get a candy bar as a reward. I was the ONLY kid who couldn’t roll their tongue, and then was asked to step outside for a time. It felt so unfair and dehumanizing as i sat outside the classroom crying as the kids inside got their candy. Eventually the teacher came out to let me in after some time marinating and announced that the purpose of this was to show the unfairness of real life with situations out of your control.
Fun times
So no, I can’t do that.
Scotty, what are your thoughts on how Long Con is approaching you? I feel like it's towny but also a bit tunnel-y.
I think if my shitty memory holds up, we have now had 2 recent games where I was wolf against his town and basically trampled him both times (I might be wrong on one of those, but definitely have done one pretty recently). I think it makes sense for him to have a pretty healthy guardedness on my play. I’m also having a hard time determining fabricated suspicion v real solving with a bunch of names town reading me AND scum reading me.
So I don’t want to outright OMGUS him for his treatment of me. But it is more aggressive in its approach than I remember of his recent town games. I’d call him light scum atm but want to see how he approaches other people instead of me because my judgment might be clouded
If that makes any sense
(By my count I think I have 5 posts left)

Here’s the thing Seanzie.
I haven’t seen any mention prior of you suspecting me, and the times you were in realtime with me and Lime Coke, you weren’t talking to me. Matter of fact, I find it odd in retrospect that you spent your first few posts just playing I spy with the letters BRAD without actually voting there. It almost feels like you are trying to retroactively making a name stick now that you’re lead wagon
Granted, I haven’t read what Seanzie actually did but essentially arguing that because Seanzie’s early day had little content (hilariously, causing him to gain townreads from Scotty and myself and iirc Abi) that any further push he makes now, after he’s gathered votes (still don’t know why) is ergo a retcon and ergo comes from dishonest mafia?
Wtf is that argument? That’s well accidentally well poisoning at best and total nonsense at worst.

Re: Fallout New Vegas: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [DAY 1]
Yes, however I have lots of shit to do beforehand and I only have a few posts left.
Seanzie is a fine vote based on how he’s come back. Obviously I no longer town read him.
I am unsure about the mac vote only because someone once said max shouldn’t be voted D1 because he’s a very strong town player when he’s town, and we can figure him out when he’s wolf. I don’t see him wolfy here. I think in hindsight he brought up an original point about me making some questionable pushes as a town leader.
Sig is still fine as a vote too. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from playing with sig over the years, when he’s overtly wolfy, he’s usually town, and if he’s making sense and towny in thread, he’s evil. I’m seeing more of the latter here.
Not feeling a Lime Coke or Creature vote either.
Manny is liiiiight town for me, despite others like Michelle saying he’s self conscious and in his head. He’s sorta shruggy and while I don’t know his game, I think it’s fine-looking.

Do you base this on the mech post? I find that a tad odd because anyone can speak on mech, especially considering it's basically truth-talk and busy work Day 1. It's probably the most irrelevant line of conversation you can go down. Now, given it's RVS at that point, sure talk away on a matter I consider unimportant but out of all of Scotty's early posts, why that one?
I can't decipher whether your reaction is over-eager or just premature. Even with your later answer just doesn’t feel like you should be this set.

Remind me if I’m wrong, but don’t you dislike rolling wolf and slank off with those rolls?Creature wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 1:16 pmActually I am a lot more prone to do that as town. As a wolf I am worried that's gonna draw too much attention to me and I'd rather just jump into game solving instead.☆Princess Abigail☆ wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 5:07 am Creature keeps making excuses for why people are gonna vote him and it feels very defeatist in a wolfy way but I won't vote there unless someone checks me because I can't read creature
I have good reasons to be complaining about people voting me for going inactive, because that happened an awful lot of times for me on Syndicate. I am rarely ever mislynched (as town) in MU, but I get mislynched quite a lot here even when I spend the entire day defending myself and arguing for another lynch.

Town will lose afterwards.

3) Die and watch town ignore wolves
4) Lose
or
1) Rand wolf
2) Get lynched D1
3) Let your wolfmates carry you
4) Win
I’m leaning on you being #2

Epi cosplaying as Three Billboards Outside New Vegas is NAI on the long run for him honestly, but the content is not towny to me.

Fine, you can be town. Pull my leg harderMacDougall wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 5:01 pm I don't feel great about Scotty. I haven't really vibed with any of his content. He's the defacto townleader through his own activity but has meandered his way to casting a vote on a guy he knows better than anyone is completely null and he overreacted to me questioning Lanmisa for it because he knows he looks bad for it too and tried to get out ahead of it I think. I would expect someone who has the best grasp of the thread to be doing better than casting a pressure vote on someone that they know will achieve absolutely nothing.
@Epignosis you'd know better than I do though, is Scotty voting for you like this suspicious for him?

There’s a bevy of options up there that really are situational to the game. In the before times, us old farts didn’t use to post off topic without using the OT button. Sarcastic orange to imply sarcasm, pedantic to imply pedantic-ism (w/e the noun of that is). Nowadays, we just…post. Be free.
Dead players used to be able to post off topic in dead red. That’s still a host preference. We don’t customarily do that much anymore
Oh, that YouTubeHD code button doesn’t work. YouTube videos can just be posted and they’ll appear as normal
Back to the regular game, is there some player or interaction that you felt needs to be looked into a bit further? I saw you having a negative opinion of Michelle so far which I don't have so maybe this is something you want to get back to me about at some point?
Michelle is probably more of a towncore *because* of how wrong I am in comparison to others tbh
I also just in general like HOW you come around with your reads and make adjustments. Like, not the fact that you do it, but the how and the why. I'm very solid on you being town now.
Just so you know, I’m generally more suspicious of those that townread me more than scum read me. I’ll let you pocket me for now. But I might want to put you in the 3p more firmly than town atm lol

Back to topic, for some reason I thought that Epignosis lurked in the forum and had no-posted (definitely misunderstood Scotty there) but then I saw that this was indeed the three gif player and yeah, please join the game in a more meaningful way.

Voting in thread is mostly a courtesy because we no longer have the tag in the poll that says when a player voted. So it’s easier to track for everyone
