I haven’t left yet
Answer: I think they both will. My shrugginess with sabi is that a lot of people voting them I view as town. So that’s informative.
This will just be the second time in a row I’ve been voting lucy for a majority of the day and am headstrong about my resolve

Re: Lawyers, Guns and Money- [DAY 2]
I think an important idea of a counterwagon means it pushes the counterwagoned player to defend and also forces other players to either vouch or pile on. This is important as the game progresses to see what wagons form, when, how many players were eager to jump on, etcDennis wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 7:28 pmKate wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 7:24 pmRead the civ role of town cop.Dennis wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 7:23 pmWhat do you mean 'cop checks'?Seanzie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 7:12 pmOh, Falcon is also suggesting counterwagons as cop checks, which sure, that is reasonable as well (he said, trying not to let the thread see him sweat)Seanzie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 7:11 pmIdk about old school language, but Falcon is expressing the same sentiment i did earlier; we have a cop, so we should let the cop sort out the inactive players.Kate wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 6:42 pmCan anyone translate this to old school language?falcon45ca wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 6:29 pm Town w/ roles should be looking into either slankers or CWs to root out Maf, Vanillas should be thread hunting.

Is it like, forcing information out of cop by pressuring them to infodump?G-Man wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 12:54 pm You are the Town Cop. Each night, you may alignment check one other player. You may roleclaim and infodump only once during the game. When you infodump, you may reveal the alignment of no more than two other players. Once you infodump, you will become vanilla for the remainder of the game. You must infodump before the mafia is down to their last living player or you will not be allowed to reveal their alignment if you know it.

See, I have the opposite reads of them. Mata has posted reads and thoughts but some of it just feels surface level, like she hasn’t gotten her footing in the game.
Roxy has been a tad aggressive which isn’t necessarily bad, but I also am not as keen with her conclusions.
I view Mata a step below Roxy on the mafia scale.

They’ve had a few comments directed at each other that aren’t not compatible.

This is literally my exact point. Wilgy's actual flip should be nearly the least important thing in being able to generate reads about what happened on day one (unless we got lucky and crapshooted a wolf).
But you know what, that’s ok. As much as it irks me, I see your viewpoint and I am not saying it’s stupid. I can understand it

I think mech talk was something more for the cop to see, whoever they are. They could feel free to disagree and that’s perfectly reasonable- I offered anyone to give input because I don’t have a PhD in coponomics but if there was an optimal play for the cop, I’d hope they could see it.Roxy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 9:38 amI am getting great vibes from him and find myself agreeing with him far more than disagreeing. Maybe I should build my post count with dog pictures or one liners. He never really responded as to why he wanted people to post about how they might do the INFO DUMPING cop role, he just posted about the way I said I would handle it. Couple that with how Soneji spends tons of lip service on Lucy and Mata, but not me. Almost as if Soneji has been told in wolfchat that I'm an easy push today, so Soneji didn't feel the need to actually develop any critical thought about me.
This indicates that likely Soneji and Sabi are partnered because Soneji would only do this lacklustre push on me if they needed to possibly end up on me to save a teammate.
I was nodding my head agreeing with a ton of soneji’s conclusions. I think mata and Lucy could be scum.
Now I tend to conf bias those that share the same conclusions as me and if I am wrong in my reads, my opinion of soneji would flip 180 degrees and he would become a top scum read. But I like what I’m seeing and he’s shit up my town board
Salad logic is weak, but not non-existant.
But point taken. Rule of 3 and all that. I fear that a lot of my reads are going to hinge on whether or not you are actually town, and I’d rather not have to resolve you and just keep going my merry way.
Soneji’s conclusion is that of Mata, lucy and you, you look the most bad, and…I think my hubris is talking but I don’t see it.

I still have Sabi as a suspicion, for reasons mentioned on d1, but I have considered that maybe they really mistrusted Seanzie. Then they started to backpedal some, and I’m back to sq1.
Why did Falcon vote Seanzie? Maybe they gave a reason why in an earlier post, but I can’t remember now so I’ll ISO them later or tomorrow.
I don’t understand Lucy’s vote for Bea either, it seems a bad idea to go after low posters, just for being a low poster, this early. (It doesn’t help that I still feel so bad for suspecting Bea in the anni game 1)
I can’t remember what else I read earlier because I’m getting sleepy again but I know there’s more. I’ll post again after I sleep on it.
If you could make your top 2 biggest suspicions in your catch-up, who would they be?
When you say you’re back to sq1 with sabi, does that mean you don’t suspect them anymore? I can’t get a good read with this post what you actually think of the players you’re mentioning- it just seems like a catalogue of events

Golden has this tunnel on both me and sabi and he’s yearning for blood.

I request yall to kill Golden and Seanzie next when I do die. Don't kill scotty over some diachomy that doesn't exist.
Anyway have fun the rest of the phase. Have to get back to work.
I read your iso and there is little to even comment on.
I trust the people voting here. Therefore, [VOTE: Sabi] aubergine

You also get my debt and my dog needs someone to walk her and my wife, while a strong independent woman, would probably miss me.
And that chess set is made from real fake porcelain so maybe I might want to hold on to that. And I listen to my boombox semi regularly. And I’m a pretty selfish individual when it comes to my land, and I’ll probably never retire because I’m addicted to this stupid game.
Sorry, I must rescind my offer
But you can have my debt. That you can have

Yes! Well said, and before me lolDennis wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 5:47 pmNo, I don't think you're wrong in that we're worse off later with inactives. But if we take a shot in the dark we have an arguably worse chance of hitting a wolf than someone we have a reason to vote. Also, I'm still holding out hope that they'll join back by then. Though, it is worth considering that chances are one active is a wolf.

Wait so you go from “probably one in sabi/seanzie” to this?lucy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 5:22 pm I'll try to make a readslist and poe, which is slightly difficult due to gamestate
one thing I do have issue with is the fact all the votes are being placed on active players, while I believe that there are active mafia players, I don't believe it's any greater than one or two
which means that we'll vote out active participants instead of inactive participants which will greatly harm us in late game, due to voting out all the players that have actually done something. instead of inactive whom have done nothing. to that end I scum read bea, so I'll actually place my vote there
[VOTE: bea] aubergine
While I agree that inactives will hurt us in the long run, in the short run…there is obviously at least one active wolf and voting for an inactive is literally a shot in the dark. This is not the time, and it is a lazy way of thinking

I feel like all she's done so far is read into the me and my family, and then make some sort of 'can't blame me for this' when doing something. Like her coldread on me, she said she 'just knows'. I don't like that one bit. Her votes in D1 have also been 'fine with wagoning' and 'seeing how this feels' so I don't like it. The coldread town (how do I word that) on me makes me think she might be WKing me.

I think the marmot kill makes sense from sabi, and her sudden ‘hmm, I’m starting to worry about the Seanzie wagon’ 30 minutes from eod when no save seemed apparently incoming.
The thing I like least about scotty is there’s a lack of second guessing himself and a lack of lightness. I think Scotty’s town vs wolf meta isn’t so unlike mine in that latter regard, and I think he struggles to be quite *as* funny and light when he’s bad.
I even tried quite a bit of having fun with him and he wasn’t really gelling with it. Could just be that he’s wary of me though, it’s plausible.
