Sigh. OK. Well. I'm down to get frisky.

Looking to hire a professional to make me feel better. Any takers?

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 1]

Metalmarsh89 wrote:Theoretically, Xander could say "Cliff and Clint, target this player tonight".

But if Cliff is nightkilled, nobody would know he was dead, so this strategy might not be ideal. Imo, Xander would be better off choosing players he thinks should be nightkilled.
Ahhh, I didn't take into account that the Xtacles would know their own name.

So yes, hmm, this strategy could work for at least the first few days, until too many people are NK'd, then it would be dicey.

Scotty wrote:LC, I don't think you're thinking through these strategies, and honestly I don't think you are on Xander's team.
I'm not sure why you felt the need to let us all know how honest you are being when you said that. Maybe you thought that if you had said "I don't think you're on Xander's team", we might not think you were being honest about it. So, good thing you clarified that with a totally necessary adverb. ;)
Don't get me started on adverbs. I use a lot of them, and tend to write how I talk, so deal with it.
Long Con wrote: As for thinking through these strategies, the problem you are having is a lack of vision. This can be done, and it can be well-coordinated and executed by Xander. We can make him invincible. Unlynchable, unkillable.

I took Llama's rule to mean in-thread stuff. If he wants to limit what Xander can say in the secret message, so be it. The Xtacles will know soon enough.
I'll admit that I haven't submitted any strategies myself, and have only harped on your ideas. Because if we follow through with your plan, what happens after a few Xylaphones are possibly killed at Night? This bold strategy will not make him invincible in the long run.

So are you saying you are an Xtentacle with that "we"?

I noticed this as well. I think extreme caution indicates that role outing should not be insinuated with an info dump. That is just a guess.

You should vote for Stan.
I'm sorry, but who's Stan?
Stan is a guy who's going to automatically start killing some relatively important Civs every day on Day 2.
thellama73 wrote:Image
Stan - Runs the Crews company when Xander is too lazy to do it, but has no real allegiance except to himself. Briefly masqueraded as Awesome-X. While he is alive, one of the Xtacles’ heads will explode every day.
timmer wrote:Sorry guys, I didn't realize that we had started!

I'm a little pinged by the fact that SVS apparently misread the roles, since her reply to Long Con about the Xtacles isn't accurate. But I suppose that's a ping that doesn't really indicate an alignment so I'm not sure where to go with it. I'll tune in more tomorrow night. Game on!
I dont really see how misunderstanding the roles could be indicative of her alignment. Are you thinking from an angle like baddies don't have to care as much as Civvies about understanding all the roles maybe?
I misunderstood Xanders messages, I was thinking any civs could get that info. Even understanding it, I am still leery of Xander sharing his identity. Although I think the risk is fairly minimal since the roles are not very vague as llama roles can sometimes be. I am sure Timmer has seen me make similar careless errors regardless of alignment, so  Timmer. The last game we played together I went the whole game having misread my own role Lol.

I have read the Epi MP convo a few times. If I have learned anything it is that blurting out my opinion on either can be a mistake for me so I want to reserve judgment at this time.

My phone corrected Xander to Cancer yikes. And the color tags are really hard to read on the light theme, so I may have to switch to dark for this game.
Ok, no more colour tags.

And you're wrong, Xander should absolutely let the Xtacles know who he is. For starters, we won't be mislynching him then. And if he can get the Xtacles coordinated, they could actually protect him at night, every night! In addition to that, so long as enough live, they could coordinate a roleblock every night as well, which could end up finding baddies when kills fail.
How do you suppose the xtacles will get coordinated? They don't know the identity of each other, so that's actually WORSE. Protecting takes 2 people, but how do the xtentacles know which 2 should do it? They could end up putting 4 on him and killing him instead.

It's like asking 6 horses to decide as a group where the nearest bathroom is. They would tell you, except they're bloody horses, mate.

The whole mechanic is hogwash and disproportionately random.

LC, I don't think you're thinking through these strategies, and honestly I don't think you are on Xander's team.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 1]

Well, off to bed. But the thing I will be looking for in this day phase is at least some connection from the peeps who haven't posted yet. I'll check back on that by Thursday afternoon and start forming a suspect list from there.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 0]

So looking at the roles, I see a disadvantage in the Crews fighting force. Someone correct me if I'm just being paranoid. No group BTSC unlike the other factions..Adding on to the fact that two members can split off to form Destiny's Child, there's 6 Xtacles instead of 8. If harrumph man isn't eliminated before night 2, one Xtacle is dead every day? Sucks for them. They're already super uncoordinated, and they need 4 peeps to band together to kill someone. Seems rather unlikely, especially before the first few days, and if Xander is dead. He would need to know something by Day 3 or else his fighting force could be crippled beyond saving.

I don't even know why Val and grace are part of Xander's team, since their only action is attempting not to be. It's like going on a blind date with someone- you get this deep, too-good-to-be-true connection. She orders steak and a beer and you're like 'damn girl, she can put that away like the guys' then after dinner she gets up to the go to the bathroom and she never comes back.

I don't know, I would feel jipped if I were on Crews' team. Seems very circumstantial and luck-based that the Xtacles and nearl can put their head together in time to make an impact and have a fighting chance.

Am i just favricating the balance issues, and missing some points that make them seem more on the same page as the other teams?

Just a heads up for y'all that haven't watched the show (like me), all the episodes in at least Season 1 are on youtube, and they're all ~10 min. I'm already on Episode 5. I'd recommend it to get into the game. Very dry humor, I love it!
