Return to “Survivor: Mafia [SIGN-UPS]”
Which reminds me-Golden wrote:They've now changed the rules of voting on Survivor so that if there's a tie, it goes to drawing rocks, no revote! This could be an interesting shift.
While I appreciate the attitude to sub-in, there will be no replacements in this game. It's an either/or thing, I'm afraid.G-Man wrote:If this game is still in sign-up mode when BLUE vs. RED is over, I will play. Otherwise, mark me down as a replacement, if such a thing is needed for this type of game.
Well I dunno about that, but I'm currently attempting to organize Scottyette to play. Though she's foreign to thread-based posting.Marmot wrote:I wonder if Wilgette will play this game?
Ima say 5. Reserving my gf's spot until she gets an account.S~V~S wrote:How many still needed?
I've crafted these games for the most part to not wholly favor a particular skill set over another outside of the game of mafia, so if it's the games that are deterring you from joining, worry not! The only real requirement is the desire to playjuliets wrote:I would get thrown out right away, I am terrible at games.
It will be far less fun for you if you don't sign up!juliets wrote:I will never, ever forget that poisonous plant - does it cause death or sickness or nothing? lololS~V~S wrote:That was so much fun, I know I pissed the other baddies off but I was OK WITH tranq winning. I was just happy that I managed to fool him so completely. Those crazy challenges like which plant is most poisonous loljuliets wrote:Except for the LC/BR Recruitment games, that Survivor game was the best game I ever played, even with Tranq yelling at me over those immunity challenges.S~V~S wrote:It was. There were two tribes, and the baddies were split between them. I was first runner up (baddie) and tranq won it (civvie), we were from the same tribe. It was one of my top5 favorite games of all time. Super fun.Scotty wrote:Also looked that up a year ago, and it said I needed to be an approved member to read through it. I think this game has the potential to be just as much fun.
Is this not you?DharmaHelper wrote:I don't remember ever making such a game.Scotty wrote:Thanks for signing up! Look forward to hosting ya!S~V~S wrote:I am switching to in. If it overlaps Champs, I might be quiet at first, but this does look like fun

In my research, I remember seeing a Survivor game you set up in sign-ups from years ago. Did that ever take off?

Fair enoughEpignosis wrote:I really don't care for LMS games like these. They're not proper "Mafia" games (i.e., informed minority vs. an uninformed majority).Scotty wrote:Lol oh yeah?Epignosis wrote:This game is made for you Glorf. If anybody votes for you, they're an asshole. The end.

What's your excuse?
Indeed. It's definitely a slight departure from what some might be used to here, but lynching people you must!Golden wrote:More like being a member of the town in a game with no mafia, but having to lynch people anyway.Scotty wrote:Think of it as being a member of the mafia in a game with no civilians. The good side is that no-one should accuse you of being bad when you aren't, so you don't have to defend yourself in that way.
The bad side is you will have to vote friends out despite the fact you know they aren't 'mafia' in any traditional sense, but just opponents to winning the game.
I do feel like this style of game is very good for making friends and getting to know people.

Don't be silly Glorf! The facet of this game that is so great is that there is no preconcept or obvious way to win it. Even the greatest characters in Survivor won by playing with integrity and honor to get where they got. Some didn't. But that's the nature of the game!Glorfindel wrote:Glorfindel wrote:So just to clarify, there can only be a single winner in this game?Apparently so. Well, there is no world in which I would even have the remotest chance of winning with such an adversarial set-up. That and having to endure Sig's rabid pursuit of me from the get-go (irrespective of my alignment) makes this a kinda unattractive option for me so sorry, Scotty - I'll pass on this one
Thanks SVS!S~V~S wrote:I maybe'd. When you are down to needing 2-3 people, Scotty, let me know and I will revisit.
It's sure to be! You should totally sign up GlorfGlorfindel wrote:Looks like fun...
