Re: Ponderosa
Shout out to all you folks who have continued to pay attention and stick through this game. It means a lot to me to be able to host, and I hope that- opinions on the outcome aside- everyone at least had fun in some capacity. That's really the only reason to be here anyway

Re: Ponderosa
So since no one has answered your question yet, if you want, I can make an announcement to direct that question to, say, Quin. And then you can ask Opt that question.S~V~S wrote:I want to see if Opt had a role advantage too, other than the willpower bonus. I really need them to start answering questions, lol.Golden wrote:I think Opt is confused about what she was trying to achieve, or she didn't have a clear vision of it.LoRab wrote:But Opt is lying now. And that's just not wise. Or, she's been lying in the game so much that she doesn't remember what the truth actually is.Epignosis wrote:See, I was truthful in my dealings, and I wound up here. Deception is how you get to the end (that or having a role that lets you find all the idols). I can't fault Opt for telling lies. That's not clownish- that's gamesmanship.
Deception while the game is going on is one thing. Deception after the fact is just poorly thought out.
I really want to vote for Opt. I made a promise in game that if I wasn't at the end and LoRab or Opt was, I'd vote for Opt. But, I can't escape the sense that this is why I got voted out (and LoRab too...) that Opt wanted us here to vote for her. And if she just said that, I'd respect that and vote for her.
I told her she's the person I'm least likely to vote for because I want to see how she does under the pressure of FTC. I find it equally hard to vote for Quin when he had such a massive role advantage, even though I think he's the one that should never have been allowed to get there.
I can't vote for sorsha unless she's able to explain what she did. At the moment I have to be honest it looks like she got lucky that opt decided to turn on me when she did, because if opt had wanted to stay loyal there was nothing sorsha could have done to survive.

No- I gave the option to either put your one question for each player into one post or split up your posts into 3: one thought for each player.S~V~S wrote:The first question was for all three players.
Can I make another post asking all three a *new* same question? And then a third? Three questions, three posts?
I thought we had three posts only and how we arranged the question wasn't as important.

If you want, you can ask one player that first question you asked by clarifying. And then ask a separate question to another player in another post.
Does that make sense?

I want to hear her answers, but Sorsha is my top seed at this time. She definitely did some under the table stuff, but she also stayed under the radar while doing it without any role benefits (that I am aware of, which is why I want to see her answers). She got to where she is without having upset or grossly betrayed anyone.
@SCOtty~ did I hopelessly screw up my questions? I thought we had 3 posts in total, and could break them up as we liked. I just wanted to get my full question out there
Meaning: "What is your favorite color, Opt?"
Followed by a separate post saying, "cool, thanks Opt. Hey Sorsha: what do you think about opt's favorite color?"

Re: Ponderosa
At the end of night 12, one more player will be headed here to Ponderosa. Instead of a Day 13, I will be locking the thread and starting a new one called "Final Tribal Council." I will have further instructions there, but you will be able to post any time during the 24 hour period with one question/comment directed at each of the remaining castaways. These questions will be broadcast to everyone so there shouldn't be repeat questions. The castaways may post all they wish, but you as a jury member are limited to up to 3 posts: either one post with all questions/comments you wish all/some/one player to answer, or one post directed to each of the remaining castaways. That make sense?speedchuck wrote:About what time do we need our questions ready?
You will have only 24 hours to then send me a PM with a vote for who you wish to WIN the game.

But I am still processing my feelings about what was said and how much of it, in retrospect, I believe. Very little, I think, at this point.
Maybe when Sorsha gets here tomorrow (this is my prediction, if not her, Eloh, and I think LoRab still needs her until they get rid of Sorsha and Quin, so I predict Sorsha), we can discuss it. Since out of everyone out there, I actually think she and Quin were the most sincere. And bizarrely enough, I was, too. Except for the night we took DH out. I think it' kind of hilarious actually.
Now I remember why I stopped watching this show. I watched it for three seasons, I think. I stopped the year they guy fell in the fire. Watching all the betrayal and backstabbing was just too depressing, lol.

Meanwhile, I found that the game only started getting good when the backstabbing started.

I understand the chat rooms have occluded discussion in the main threads, and while I do agree it makes the game far less interesting from the outsiders perspective, it's a definitive part of this game.S~V~S wrote:Scotty, you gotta end those chat rooms.
A compromise I might foresee is limiting it to 1 BTSC choice as the game goes on. To purely eliminate the option at this point is quite unfair to the players, I feel.
Should this type of game ever be run in the future, however, I'm taking the criticism constructively and would keep it more sparse, for sure,
SVS, I'm sure you probably learned things from your BTSC that would influence your opinions of a few people left in the game, would you not?

So as we get closer to the end, keep tucked away in your mind potential questions you would like for each remaining player, should they end up going to the final tribal.
You aren't required to ask or say anything specifically, but I will ask that you keep your comments self-contained- meaning, no rambling or asking multiple tangential questions. Once Final Tribal Coubcil comes (Which will immediately follow Night 13), you will be designated to post in the main thread your statement/question/appeal to the rest of the jury for each finalist, either in the same post or in 3 separate posts. They may respond to it, but you may not follow up.

Does anyone want to discuss the questions we'll be asking the survivors?
So you may ask all of them a unique question, ask all of them the same question, ask one or two them a question, or just send them a statement. The rules are very loose here. Basically, your focus is to either get clarification to help your decision easier, or it can also be a statement to influence other jurors, or it can simply be "I don't like how you played the game, and I'm going to vote for the other person"speedchuck wrote:Do we give the same question to all three, or a different question?
So y'all can bounce off ideas here or share information with each other on plays people may have made in the game that distinguish themselves.
The winner of Survivor: Mafia will be named by you all, so it's really up to you who you think is worthy.

I thought getting BTSC with someone was a treat but when 99% of conversation is deciding who is talking to whom...zzzzzzzzzzz. My role ability was purposeless really.

I'm not sure imposing, say, a minimum post count in thread is going to get discussion going either.
As for your role, it was more based in vote manipulation, which can be very powerful.

Ponderosa

You made the Jury!!
That's still quite the accomplishment-- You have a very important role in this game still:
You will help decide who ultimately wins the game!
You and your fellow zombie jurors may use this thread to deliberate and discuss the game from the comfort of your plush Ponderosa cabanas.
Towards the end of the game, all jurors will haven chance to address each of the final 3 players with a question or statement. You may write it now or write it later. That is your chance to determine what you need to know in the game from the final 3 players that will help you decide who to vote for as the Sole Survivor of Survivor Mafia.
When you ultimately vote for the Winner, you will PM me who you want to win. I'll go over this as we get closer as well.
Let me know if you have any questions! In the meantime, have fun eating whatever you want and drinking to your heart's desire!
Added to Ponderosa:
1. notsawyer540 (Voted out 7th)
2. Epignosis (Voted out 8th)
3. insertnamehere (Voted out 9th)
4. speedchuck (Voted out 10th)
