Thanks for a great game, everyone! Thanks for convincing me to play, LoRab!
Return to “Angry Birds [ENDGAME]”
Simply a hunch, totally wrong in retrospect.LoRab wrote:So, Lacey, while you're here...why did you suspect FZ the other day and plan to vote for him?
Or is that just what they'd want us to think? Seems VERY suspicious to me. I've gotta go back over all this.Elohcin wrote:RIP MP.
I don't think the baddies would be that stupid...to kill someone who was calling them out.
Definitely. Was it the new post about LoRab and Made? Was it the continuing suspicion of Elo?thellama73 wrote:RIP MP
That's a lame kill. He was contributing a lot. Clearly the baddies are scared that he was onto something.
That makes sense. I'd probably be suspicious, too, if I didn't know what a "I don't know what I'm doing, please like me" fool I am in new situations :PLoRab wrote:I'm not bad, but eye me all you want.MovingPictures07 wrote:fingersplints - D1 vote, general lack of postingMetalmarsh89 wrote:Elohcin - her vote at the end, and the later reasoning to follow.
fingersplints - her Day 1 vote
LoRab - her defence of lacey for being new (though I guess they are friends)
Russtifinko - I don't really know why.
llama - everything
I would also like to hear yours MP.
LoRab - the defense of Lacey, then agreeing with me on Lacey possibly being mafia when she had no previous inclination, yet reluctant to vote for her
nijuu - I no longer have a GTH mafia read on Blooper
Russ - I can't remember a single opinion he has had yet
Llama - His TinyBubbles suspicion was incredibly weak and struck me as forced/insincere and he could have been saved today
TinyBubbles - DRIVE-BY VOTE, nuff said![]()
But seriously...yours is the same eplanation that others have parrotted, so I'm going with yours.
I discouraged a lacey lynch day 1/2 to let her have her footing. Because she's a personal friend and she's new. It was only during yesterday that I started becoming suspicious of her--you happened to mention it before I did. She's been playing the newbie card a lot, and some of her questions seem as if they are overly trying to sound civ-friendly.
I'd rather lynch Splints first--I think she's more likely bad. But Lacey no longer has a pass. I'm confident that she likes the game and will return.
Wow, dramatic!Simon wrote:While the birds were on their journey, some pigs were going after them. The birds fought back. It was like an egg war. The pigs were trying to get the eggs.
boo has been killed by Foreman Pig. You have 24 hours to lynch someone.
Thank you for compiling these results! After review, and taking my own GTH response into account, I'm going to join FZ and vote Splints.MovingPictures07 wrote:The Game Results:

Analysis and observations:
- All five game participants agreed that Boomslang, DFaraday, and FZ. seem civilian.
- Every participant, except for one, agreed that fingersplints seems mafia.
- It is therefore, VERY interesting, that fingersplints has hardly been discussed today (if at all, really, besides FZ. mentioning her), and only has one vote (which FZ. just cast, after the conclusion of this game).
- In contrast, the players with the two most votes at the moment, with three each, (thellama73 and Spacedaisy) do not have the same degree of perception. 3 out of 5 players believed Llama seemed more mafia, whereas only 1 thought Spacedaisy seemed mafia.
- Blooper seemed hyper-concerned with the fact that her mafia reads outnumbered her civilian reads. She was the only participant to name MORE gun-to-head mafia reads than civilian reads.
- Made named exactly four mafia reads, which is the number of mafia in this game.
- FZ. was the only player who occasionally gave answers that were not clear cut, with the exception of one addendum by Made (when he said he wanted to change his read on Elo to Indy).
- Both FZ. and I changed our minds on several of our reads when we were forced to decide, most notably on Spacedaisy (from mafia to civilian), who could die today, as well as on LoRab (from civilian to mafia). Personally, I would have still read Daisy as mafia if she had not posted what she did during The Game.
- Other than that, I did not notice any drastic shifts in opinion from any other player, but it would be interesting to compare these GTH responses with anything these participants said previously.
What did you all think of this exercise? What do you make of the results?
I guess not, but I thought one quit playing when one was lynched. I suppose it doesn't matter in the big view, though, as long as all the baddies get lynched...MovingPictures07 wrote:Do you think civilians have anything to lose though by being lynched?lipsticklacey wrote:Only so far as I'd like to keep playing, and appearing suspicious seems to get you lynched.MovingPictures07 wrote:So you're concerned about appearing suspicious?lipsticklacey wrote:

Sure, I'm up for a game. I'd like to know what it is first, so I don't end up like Michael Douglas, but okay!
The game is on, if FZ. and Blooper are willing. Anyone else want in? Quickly.
Also, so glad you got the movie reference.
Also, last one? Game's over? Then I'm going to eat dinner, and will return in a bit to vote.lipsticklacey wrote:mafiaMovingPictures07 wrote:Last one:

Just finished catching up... what is this game business?
It's a game. Want to play? If so, say yes. If I can quickly get one other and FZ. is still willing, we can play.
I think I'm starting to understand/get the hang of it, so I can stop "playing that newbie card hard."LoRab wrote:Because I feel like a brand new player needs 3 games, before they realize they love the game and will come back for more. To clarify, the notion that anyone can gain anyone else's power seems crucial, not just the bluebird. But again, as a newbie, I may be misunderstanding its importance.lipsticklacey wrote:boo wrote:Alright cool.
To expand re:LR: I was getting the feeling Lacey was civ, based on her limited number of posts. I had thought (up until that post from LR), that since she's a first time player, and I am suspicious of almost all hosts (including Epi) that they tend to give new players BTSC (or at least the possibility for it), so I thought maybe, in addition to Scotty, LR (since she's a RL friend of Lacey and I also think that could be a factor, which is increased by what Eloh mentioned about Simon and Epi having let her pick her role) and Lacey were the other two bluebirds.
Then LR made that post, which reads to me like someone who has more insight into the topic, but is trying to mask it. Now, maybe as a bluebird she'd mask it, but I'm not sure more clarification would be given to a civ. That makes me think she might be bad (and by extension, raises concerns about Lacey, since maybe LR just did some of the often-talked-about-but-mostly-imo-made-up coaching of a new player, with two of them being baddies).
Since I was the only person doing much night-talking, I didn't want to post that, in case Mighty Eagle was not inclined to agree with me.
Goodness, I hope it's not the case that more clarification wouldn't be given to a civ. How else would a newbie civ learn about the game? I could be misunderstanding your meaning, though. I'm grateful that people answered my questions about one of the baddies gaining the bluebird's power. That aspect seems crucial, but maybe it doesn't actually come up much?
Grateful for it! Glad not to have been lynched for being late, this is fun.LoRab wrote:I have no knowledge of Lacey's role.
My post about her was because we were both mentioned. And I feel protective of her because she's an RL friend and I convinced her to play--and would feel bad if she had been lynched for being late to the game, so to speak.

Okay, thank you Russtifinko and Boo!Russtifinko wrote:And the lynches. RIP Scotty.boo wrote:It's a bad day for quotes, apparently.
And Lacey, lynch switches or stops usually have to be used before the lynch happens. Which is really tough, because as a civ, the person using them usually doesn't know ahead of time whether they're saving a civ or baddie.
Hi! Yes, please do call me Lacey.lipsticklacey wrote:Hopefully she posts something though.
Lacey, any thoughts so far? Do see anything suspicious in any players that might indicate they are mafia?
Linki: Oh hi Lacey, you are here. Is it alright if I keep calling you Lacey?
I'm sorry, Scotty. I should not have voted for you. I voted before catching up on reading, because I was afraid of missing the deadline. I also hope we get to play past Day 1 together sometime.Scotty wrote:It's all good. I know that feeling. I worked a 6am-4am shift a few days ago. I thought by pointing out Lacey and I, he was seriously trying to point figures in any direction other than his. Which doesn't seem like a civ tactic. And he knows from the last game that I have quiet days because of life, so...doesn't seem so authentic to point in my direction because I hadn't posted during this RL day. And voting now because I'm exhausted and starting to fall asleep.
Should I not be pointing in directions other than myself? Or should I just vote myself? I'm not sure what constitutes a civ tactic.
Just so you feel better, DFaraday also hasn't posted today.
And hello lipstick! Nice to hear from you, and I hope to get to play with you past Day 1!
My really quick summary of the posts makes me feel okay about Boo and Scotty. I'm not sure about FZ, specifically going after Boo for his logic angle (which he always plays anyway). I don't feel like trying to scrutinize posts tonight, so I'll go with my feeling and *vote FZ*
I ask all the people that haven't voted not to vote me out on Day 1. Because 2/4 have no real reason to vote me. Lipstick is new, and I wish her well. But man....
