I've seen Robert Earl Keen, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Billy Joe Shaver all for free cause my hometown puts on free concerts in the summer at the city park amphitheatregwilikers6 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 8:24 pm I keep forgetting about this. Kites my dude, I know you're a fellow 5-starrer of Cloven Hoof on RYM. What would you say are your top five metal albums?
I know I missed @rundontwalk, but curious if you've gotten the chance to go to a lot of cool country shows, being from Texas?

1. Bob Dylan. It so cool seeing the man in person. And Willie Nelson opened for him. 2 legends in oneMovingPictures07 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 11:57 pm Hey, @rundontwalk! I'm a fellow Texan too (at least for now), even if it's been only 4 years.
How about some music questions?
- Favorite concert you have ever been to (and why)?
- What are your top 5 / 10 / 20 albums of all-time?
- If you could learn and master any musical instrument instantly, which instrument would it be?
- Do you have any pet peeves in music/songs?
Then a couple more Texas questions because why not?
- Have you been to Austin; if so, what's your favorite thing to do there?
- If you knew someone was visiting Texas for the first time and they only had, say, a week or so, what would you suggest for them to visit and/or do?
2. Ummmm Pogues - Rum Sodomy and the Lash; Weezer - Blue Album; Jason Isbell - Southeastern, Professor Longhair - Crawfish Fiesta; Phil Ochs - I Ain't Marching Anymore
3. The accordian

4. Lyrics that suck? Lol

1. I love Austin! My brother lives in Pleugerville. Last time I went to this badass indoor rock climbing place near Downtown. I also love the state park there
2. Big Bend is apparently the Crown Jewel of Texas. I haven't been, but just go spend a week there.

Re: rundontwalk - Interrogation Room
My girlfriend and I went shopping across the border in Mexico. Bought tortillas, shot glasses, etc. It was my first time being out of the country and I was pumped lol.
I'm in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas atm for Spring Break and it's a lot of fun so far. Probably my favorite area of the state yet. Border towns are fun and kinda sketchy sometimes and it's exciting.

Re: rundontwalk - Interrogation Room
1. I think it's too soon to tell re: Obama. But I think he was alright in some areas (esp. Environmental stuff, equal rights), though I wish he had been bolder. And I wasn't a fan of his foreign policy. I'm not sure we'll ever have any great presidents again.
2. Lincoln, John Muir, Shane MacGowan (:p), some of the great explorers like Ibn Battuta
3. I liked it! "Some balls roll, some balls hang" in the same song as a reference to Ross Perot. What's not to like?
4. My Favorite Picture of You - Guy Clark, off the top of my head.
PS: I will vote in November I promise.

Re: rundontwalk - Interrogation Room
1. I think Texans go overboard with the state pride thing, which is the worst thing. Best thing is probably our interesting diversity of people and landscapes.Iron_Dwarf wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 3:40 pm Was a pleasure @dunya. I'm quite the elitist myself so don't know if I'm the one to take them down. :P
rundontwalk:
- What's the greatest thing about being Texan and what's the worst thing?
- Have you ever listened to Accept's album Balls to the Wall? If so, what did you think of it?
2. I have not but I have played the song during Mafia games to get me in that #ballstothewall mood.

Re: rundontwalk - Interrogation Room
I'm really into the history of the European conquest/settlement of the Americas and why things went down the way they did. In fact I'm stopping tomorrow at one of the missions in San Antonio to walk around midway through a long drive.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 2:10 pm RDW, you like history. Re: rundontwalk - Interrogation Room
Awwww thanks for your kind words <3
1. Because I've always been interested in politics and policy. Most of my heroes went to law school, lol. I wanna be a public defender which in America are people appointed by the court to defend poor people who can't afford a defense.
2. I didn't vote :o. I regret that. I just assumed Texas would go the way it did and didn't bother.
3. Hehehe. I think she's more adorable. She's great. We're leaving tomorrow to her home town and I'm meeting all her family, though I've met her parents before.
