Re: Buckets: War of the GOATs [Day 2]
how has my day 2 been wolfy?Wiml wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 2:16 pmThanks. Wrt illario he has a very distinct dynamic with alexa and they're pretty much like mafia best buds in that regard and interwine their play a lot (source: having played with them a lot) and in the nicest way possible he's known for having really wild reads.NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 11:58 amLmao yeah that was an interesting oneWiml wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 11:40 am"just want to make sure this doesn't slip through the cracks cus of notification shenanigans, i was wondering whether your read that we are town because of the level of comfort in revealing that nanook pees while he drives was from made or alison?"NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 11:38 amI don't really remember her read so idk
Which townreads do you think are controversial?
And anything that isn't alexa/illario/Esooa tbh.
Speaking of illario if you also wouldn't mind explaining that read I'd appreciate it.
I didn't like ilario's interactions around alexa early, there were a couple posts that showed a combination of awkwardness and self awareness that reads as scummy to me. I think his trans handling was kinda meh, but that's harder to judge. I think he's mostly been pushing pro scum poe, although tbf he's not alone in that regard fmpov.
Its a bit of an ego tunnel atp I guess but I don't really care
Mac had a townie eod1, and I think the work he's done today is largely out of his scumrange. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, and the counterargument is that if he's mafia here he's likely trying his ass off given the playerlist, but yeah, I think given his reads and his play he's probably just town
Ender is a bit of a lazier read tbh, he reads similar to his play in scythe to me, and I have a decent record of correctly tolerating him, so I just locked it in.
Mac's EoD was towny to me pretty much solely because I think he had a very real chance to get me flipped and decided not to (especially when Trans flipping town would be a bad look for him anyway). Tbh I don’t see really see where you're coming from with your point about his D2 though, I think it's been really wolfy tbh. Would you mind expanding on your read?
Tbh I pretty much agree exactly with what you've said about Ender, I'm just not going to town lock him over it.

I am rather comfortable townreading Nanook now. He's put himself into a position where he is very likely to not last to endgame just simply because he made reads he believes in ie. So is it far to say your top wolf read you intend to do something about is wiml given you are voting there?

yes so basically everything you said prior is redundant due to the bolded so ...NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:55 pmEh, not really, just need to hit one mafia then you can usually solve it with votes and associationsMacDougall wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:40 pmIf the standard of solving is awful and low it is, but in mountainous it's optimal and requires enforcing higher standard. Otherwise the game is just a rand idiotic mess.NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:39 pmI think you know this is usually a bad way to read the gameMacDougall wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:23 pm If i was going to score people based on the quantity and quality of their solving I would have Esooa and Ender at the top. Alexa and Ilario thereish. Maybe this is just how I need to read this game.
Its probably close to solvable with associations right now tbh given how polarized most of the world building has been, but I don't really have the capacity to figure it out atm
