I would hope not given I'm a VT.

So I had scanned the game for mentions of C4, noticing Axe had articulated a semi jokey lock mafia read on C4 from the early game. I prodded him to see if he had a reasonable argument for having made the read. He didn't provide me with enough to pivot into a legit push on C4, but his response felt true enough for me to take as a reason to townread him for having a similar feel towards C4 who along with some unfortunate town, were my early game suspects.

I will start with Axe because that is the slot that apparently I have the most equity to be mafia with.

I am going to do an exercise that I've never done before called. "Here are posts and reasons that I am never mafia with anyone in the game." I am going to do so by quoting my own posts and articulating my mindset during each of them to a degree that you will have no doubt is legitimately what I was thinking. Here goes. Wish me luck.

In almost every game I've seen you exhibit a townread to that extent on me you have maintained it as almost your compass for the rest of the game. Repeatedly shielding me and living vicariously through me. In this game you made that read and really have just done everything the exact opposite to what I would expect you to do with a locktown read on me since, right up to openwolfing and voting me today.

I was just snooping around in the posts. I'm not sure I'd call your play here "similar" to that endgame, but the dimensions along which the games differ don't tell me a lot about alignment (if I stretch for your sake, I could say you were much more resigned in that one). I think the context is too different though, since that was a gigantic game with a mafia team that melted around you from Day 1 onward.

Anyway, I try to temper my impressions or expectations of your "meta". As I have suggested in this game: I don't think you or I do a great job historically of interpreting each other's meta.

What I am saying is that, generally, you have felt town vibes from me in this game vs. in that game you were on my ass most of the game. You had moments of doubt in both games, but in the main you have townread me here and scumread me there. The reason for that is simply because I am town here and was scum there. You do in fact have a good vibe read on me. A very good one.

I can't think of anything specific to answer why I went from suspicious of him to trusting of him aside from that my paranoia of him from overnight d1 was of the "lol Marmot died Jay/Hally always has a mafia" variety without considering the requisite dodge. That coupled with Jay just posting himself into a stupor into the wee hours and also our interactions when it was just us in the thread solving. I dunno what else to say aside from he's just the same town Jay he always is. To a degree I am not sure that he can replicate as a wolf anymore. Or moreso, I am sure he can, but I just don't believe he would.

I was tinfoiling neither of you to a significant degree. You overreacted to me just vocalising some innane tinfoil. I was tinfoiling Jay more than you at the start of the day but, and I shit you not, Jay called himself town five times and I just went "yup, I guess you are" and then my tinfoil went away. Then I started reading all of Jay's content as pure and have not had any cause to find issue with his play since because his solving is aligned with mine with the exception of me being part of his. All of his non Mac solving (and yours as of recently at least), I can completely understand and I agree with.

C4's ISO as mafia (that won) in the mentor/mentee game on MU. Just putting here to clarify his claim that he's miles out of his wolf range.

Fine C4 and NAA is the team then. That was what I'd arrived to anyway. It's also what Jay's first instinct was today too so meh. I'm fine with it.

I think that C4 is very strongly likely to be mafia. I think that the other one is one of Axe or Nanook.

A collection of AI things to consider:

Today we had Nook/Axe put me at L-2 and sew some chaos.

The (relevant) wagons on D2 were:
Mac (3) - Nanook
Dizzy (3) - Jay, NotAnAxehole
NAA (2) - Hally/C4

Marmot was killed n1, but the mafia knew there was a tracker and watcher present so it was probably at least somewhat a dodge. Marmot's POE was Alison/Mac/Axe.

On day 1 Alison was hammered at 6. The only live players from that wagon are Hally and Nanook. Jay was voting Axe. Axe was voting Nanook and Mac was voting C4. All single voters. C4 did not vote, and in fact voted for the no vote option.

There being a difference check between me and both of you (which is how the rest of the game should perceive what just occurred), should realistically out me as town because there is very little chance there is not a mafia between you two.

If Jay returns and doesn't vote me then it rules out Jay/Hally, C4/Hally and Jay/C4. So it means that there is always a mafia or two between Nanook and Axe at that point. To me anyway.

If it's C4/Jay he has to wait for Jay to be responsive. If it's C4 + either of Axe/Nook then... C4 voting me here is really not going to look great for him anyway.

The only team pairing truly ruled out right now is C4/Hally..
