Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Night Two

New reads :mafia:

Town:

Indiglo
Matt
Polo

Scum:

DrWilgy - lingering suspicion from IAWY. He has been under the radar ever since replacing in and I would imagine a civ-aligned would instantly jump in and find their ground in a game.
Sig - Mostly a gut read. He seems to comment on a lot of things and asking people for reads, but he is reluctant to provide content himself. It pings me.
Glorfindel - his involvement with the Long Con wagon as Silver mentioned makes me believe that he is scum. He has been on the fence and kind of shifty this game, despite his very polite demeanor :shifty:

Im not sure on Long Con anymore. He was probably intended as a save for Nutella, so now I don´t know :shrug2: Back to null.

I have to vote very soon because I will be partying later (Yay) and Im on the fence. Does anyone want to collaborate with me on one of my scum reads? Im mostly in favor of lynching Wilgy if possible.
Im not sure on Long Con

I want Boomer dead, and it wouldnt surprise me if she had a mechanic that allows her to appear as Athena. Im 100% sure Athena is good, but Epignosis might not be Athena after all.
I would be willing to hold that thought until later in the game. It's not like Epignosis is going anywhere, and if he isn't Boomer, we might find the real Boomer in the process.
This. If he is civ aligned, and there is no real reason to think not, then I don't want to lynch him on a "what if". What if he really IS Athena? We have a lot of solid leads, and a lot of names being brought up. I would rather follow up on those than maybe lynching someone (if he IS lynchable; Golden did not tell us to stop looking for ships) who is on our side.
I meant in regards to get Cally to shoot him.

On one hand, if that idea is wrong, we lose a Boomer-search. On the other hand, it's pretty unlikely that Cally will actually find Boomer, so probably no great loss.

I don't think Epi wanted to get lynched (to appear as Athena and get... Civ cred? :disappoint: ), so I don't have the feeling that he is really Boomer. I've been wrong the most out of anyone though, so I give the nod to Cally with an Epi search, to be safe.
The only problem I see is the fact that we don´t know if we need to find more Rezz Ships.

Good point, Silver. Out of these people, Glorfindel looks the worst imo. I know Im in this pool of suspicious people, but I will do whatever it takes to respond to these doubts the best I can. In Downton Abbey I got lazy and failed to disprove suspicion, and that certainly won´t happen again :srsnod:

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Night Two

So say we all.

I was wrong about Nutella :fist: But oh well, at the end of the line we caught a Cylon, and that is what matters.

Are we assuming that we can kill Cylons now? Im wondering if 1 Rezz ship = 1 cylon without cover.

I had this idea earlier, and it didn´t stir up much debate so Im quoting it now:
Nerolunar wrote:
Btw guys, I have been thinking about the proposal that Epi might be Boomer appearing as Athena. If this is true, we should let Cally target Epi after we find and destroy the ressurection ship. That way we can be sure about it instead of wasting another lynch.

Vote Long Con

Im going to bed soon, so I want to get my vote out there. I chose Long Con above anyone else because disrupting our plan "for fun" seems like such a lame excuse, and JJJ´s case was alright.

Nutella strikes me as genuine. Inconsistent maybe, but genuine. Long Con seems more manipulative in comparison imo.

I think your case on nutella is agreeable, JJJ, but not that strong. I mean, inconsistency is a fair reason to lynch someone day 1 or 2 imo, but I could also interpret nutella as being a confused civ. We are all struggling to gather reads it seems, and some people are more vocal about their confusion through either stating it like Juliets just did, or through their actions such as Nutella. But I guess we will only know if we lynch said person. Im not opposed to it though, its a good shot compared to any other submissions so far.

Leadership is something I pride myself in, and I think on Day 1 in this game I exhibited it. I probably didn't on Night 1 or so far in Day 2 because I've hardly been here -- to lead requires consistent presence. I think I have the third or fourth most posts in this game right now, so again: this is the standard. I am treated similarly to low-content posters when I have 100 posts on Day 2.
Oh well, If you say so. I must admit that your recent case of Nutella reminded you more of p50. Im not sure how I feel about you at the moment, but I will have to think about it for a while I think.

My suspicion of Inawordyes still lingers, and probably will too when he gets replaced. @Golden any luck?

Im entertaining the idea that JJJ might be bad. He seems to strive to look P50, but it feels forced. Thats only tone though, I can barely remember anything he has said. Although that might be a point in itself. Im feeling good about Rico though.

What does everyone think of JJJ?
No real read on him yet for me. What's P50?
He was using a sock named Prisoner 950 in Turf Wars. He was as supertown as anyone can get, and he is nowhere as close to that here. To me, it looks like he is trying to imitate the tone and line of play he exhibited in Turf Wars, but it doesn´t look genuine imo.
I'll take a look at his posts and see what I think. What flavour of supatown was he? Extra-helpful? Strong-accusational? Good-vibes-guy?
He was the person who(maybe apart from Sloonei) had an eye for the grand scheme of things. Making GTH-exercises, coming up with logical scumteam combinations, spearheading and processing the suspicions of the group and Im sure there is more.

Here he seems to want to be in the back of things, observing and commenting instead of leading. I guess it is an unfair expectation to have of you JJJ to lead in every game, but Im noting the differences and trying to see if its alignment indicative. It might be.

Yes, my read of Inawordyes is a NO U to an extent, but Im not pinged alone by his suspicion of me. What pinged me was his actual arguments and his "I might be overthinking things" to not commit fully to his suspicion.

Im not sure Gman´s lack of actual reads in his list of notes warrants a scumtell. It just looked like thought processes to me.

Quick observations: I've got a town read on Sikverwolf and - and I completely acknowledge that I'm being a hypocrite in thinking this, btw - a slight scum read on Nerolunar. He popped in and out in the same manor I did/am doing, but I have conformation bias on my side to know why I couldn't be here. Was at a family gathering of sorts all day. He just basically said "I can't be here, here's my post, see ya later". It feels like making an excuse not to post, which isn't good for a multitude of reasons and at best is anti-town. I'm also probably overthinking this too haha.

Normally, because I'm used to it culturally, I'd vote him to get him to talk, but I can't do that here because votes, once cast, are permanent (if I read correctly), so I'm gonna put a big FoS on Nero and hopefully he'll say or will have said more stuff.
I realized that the thread was open the moment I was about to leave to visit my grandpa. Minor ping on you for thinking that not immediately involving you guys in my private life is "anti-town at best" You admit to overthinking it too, yet places a FoS on me. Oh well.

Townreads so far:

Indiglo - looks just like Turf Wars
Drumbeats - Seems really transparent and genuine
Ika - Looks like usual Ika.

Scumreads:

Epignosis - Is usually more vocal iirc.
Inawordyes - see above
SVS - something is off, and I don´t know what.

Well, Im much more confident about my townreads than my scumreads. Lots of players Im not used to play with.
