Re: Severance [Evening One]

If the people in this thread are still shown as online when logged out, as can be shown by an incognito tab listing the same amount of people online, people from the other thread should be visible as well. Thus, I highly doubt this other thread exists, at least not right now.

At that point, it's a flaw in the setup. How am I supposed to argue against robyn when I'm not allowed to mention the evidence that disproves them? Regardless, I feel it should be fine because I'm not using it to make reads, although it is a grey area. Still, it goes to show why I think disallowing discussion of activity statuses is not a good idea even if some consider it "angleshooting" (it can be played around, so I don't see why some people see it as unfair)

27 signed up for this game, 13 are in this thread, you can't see this thread without an account

so there's a thread concurrent to us, and they're at work
If that were true, we'd be able to see people online who are in that thread, yet we don't. It's not an issue with the account, either, as the number of people online is consistent between when I'm logged on and off.

Mechanical speculation is an easy thing for wolves to generate. I want to know yoiur thoughts on the people we're actually playing with.
It's easy for wolves to post pointless nagging on players they totally remember playing with yet want to GTH town that same player for the easy pocket.

I don't think this is a 26/27/28 player game

having watched ½ of the first episode of Severance, I could see a setup with "13" players where if you die at work you die in real life and vice versa

maybe something weird where they only get to play during our "nights", thus the phase zero was their "D1" (otherwise really boring to have ~13 people sit around for 72 hours?)

no deaths ofc bc it would also suck to kill someone on this side of the work-life balance before we even got to play

all theoretical ofc ✨

someone please tell me the normal # of scum for a 13p, ty in advance
We can't see this thread when logged out, so chances are that the other fourteen can't see this at all. I haven't seen anyone not of the thirteen viewing this thread, which corroborates this belief. Thus, it is likely that what we do here is likely of no effect to the other fourteen.

As for number of wolves in thirteen, three is standard in mountainous, but depending on the power roles and/or possible independents, two and four are plausible as well.

Yeah the mech is definitely a thing. I suppose we're far enough in now that I can say that's also what I was doing.

@leetic So, remember my first post? It wasn't fluff, it's a quote from the TV show the game is based on, and it has a meaning in context. It was indeed a friendly opener but also it was a probe to see who would recognize it and be familiar with the flavor. leetic, wind and pyxxy all showed they were unfamiliar, Gira seemed to catch it (and also affirmed this signal back as early as p#88 and reaffirmed it recently when ted brought the mech up again).
What exactly are you trying to glean from whether or not people are familiar with the flavor? If the answer is "nothing", it's still fluff

I completely disregard any thought of how much attention any of my posts will get. I know I make weird posts sometimes so I just deal with it. No use in being overly worried about it as a wolf if I fuck up just as often as town.
Which of these a player considers is dependent on the player and the game, but arguing otherwise is saying that wolves aren't thinking or playing to wincon
I don't think or play to wincon as a wolf
According to plenty of people, I don't play to wincon as town either tbh
That's cool and all, but 99% of players play to win, otherwise what's the point? Assuming people don't play to wincon doesn't get us anywhere, as any "wolfy" behavior can be excused as town that just doesn't care

Yeah, and my point is, reading people off of whether their openers look planned or not really isn't alignment indicative for everyone.
It's not just planning but the motivation behind doing so. I have planned openers as town before.

What do you think of their discussions thus far? This post is just fluff
I like how leetic is allowed to call other people's posts fluff but for some reason I'm not
you’re allowed, you just haven’t been calling posts “fluff” as effectively as leetic
Yeah but does anyone seriously think the openers from Gira and Ran were indicative of alignment?? Why is that not fluff?
There's a good chance they would have opened differently under a different alignment. Remember, openers from wolves are usually planned, and this sometimes holds for townies as well.
Openers from wolfs are planned?

Holy fuck I've been wolfing wrong this whole time
To varying extents but almost always yes. At the very least, wolves are going to think about how they enter the thread.

Bereft

Begrudgingly Leetic
Why Bereft?
Because Bereft is not doing anything that will accomplish anything except getting him unnecessary attention and push pushback and that's town
So is the argument "too wolfy to be a wolf"?
No TWTBAW literally doesn't exist

The argument is what I said
"He's doing things that make him get unnecessary attention by looking wolfy, wolves would never do this" what else is there to that argument?

Here's the difference: I only call out actual fluff, while you for some reason think that GTH reads are "fluff"
You literally made GTH reads on two FLUFFPOSTS. I still don't understand how you don't see why that's just silly. I didn't say your reads were fluff, I said they were fake. And I said that the posts you were reading were fluff. Get it right.
Why can't you make reads based on fluffposts?

Yes it is

It's just one you don't like
So then I guess not having reads is a read and not having hobbies is a hobby
If you try everything in your might to not have a hobby, then yes, you've made not having a hobby into a hobby.
Doing nothing isn't a hobby, it's just laziness
