@Hosts~ were the roles randomized, cherrypicked, or both?
There is no civ BTS unless I missed something, and I do not know that I see Kate putting a married couple on the same bad team, or if I see that happening randomly (although, tbh, I think there is a better chance of that than of Kate putting them together).

"A fact"?indiglo wrote:SVS, you think Llama is bad due to some "piling on" issues previously?
I don't really think the frame job theory on Epig holds a lot of water for me. (Simply because now I know for a fact that at least 2 of the voters are not baddies.) However, I suppose some baddies could have gotten it started... so that is something to consider.
And I think he is bad because of the way he reacted to discussion on more than one occasion, the way he ignored my pointing it out until I brought it up again, and then after basically saying discussion was stupid and annoying, implying there was really nothing to go on for a vote. Nothing to do with "piling on" issues.
He is acting NOTHING like he acted in MacG. Everything he says just says "bad" to me.

I am not sure whether I think Epi is bad or whether he was set up; it would be a bold move, but speed games are all about bold moves.

If Epig comes up civ, I am gonna be looking squarely at llama again.
His play style here is TOTALLY different than in MacG, and if Epig turns up good, then I think Llama was being saved.
Also, Kate has been really busy today, and may be running a bit late~

@llama~ I am not coming hard at you for no reason. You have made remarks aimed at squashing discussion twice, then complained that you would have nothing to base a vote on due to no discussion. This, IMO, generally leads to a vote for a civvie for a weak reason, which is a pretty baddie move. It may not mean that, but it struck me pretty hard from your ennui remark on.

Re: MINECRAFT - DAY ZERO
I meant in general, it seemed like the CIVVIEST OPTION BASED ON THE FACT THAT IT WAS A PROTECIVE OPTION (I capslocked this since it is pretty much what i already said, lol, I guess you needed emphasis). I did not mean I thought it was "literally" protective, I meant the protective nature of "House" in general within the context of THIS game made it feel "civvie" to me.MovingPictures07 wrote:And I meant to ask about this too, what exactly do you mean? I mean, if it wouldn't protect us from NKs, what kind of protective value do you mean?S~V~S wrote:I don't expect we'll be protected, my view of this was that the House seemed a more civvie choice based on its protective value, not that it would literally protect anyone. That could very well be true, but FH seemed to indicate that enemies can possibly spawn inside the house as well, and wouldn't the house be cornering yourself then, in that regard?
Let's just hope I'm being paranoid and that, if this is a boon poll, the civvies were pushing this one.
So we'll see.Charming Hostess Said: Villager - Each night the villager will choose a number which is associated with a player who has a night power, the villiager will trade with the associated role. The villager will give the other player a place to stay thus protecting him from ALL night targets. In exchange, the villager will receive the other player's power for the night. The Villiager will not know the identity of the player, only the role he traded with.
So I guess i still think it was the civvie option.

Yes, but the point is, which option seems the most friendly to the civvies, not which has the most practical value in reality. And reinforcing the protection of your home seemed the civviest choice, IMO. And I am still comfortable with it, tbh.Snow Dog wrote:Which we already have.>SpaghettiEverywhere wrote:I voted house based on my experience with playing the game of Minecraft. LOL, so why did you want to stop discussion? To quote myself:thellama73 wrote:I totally agree. Re: MINECRAFT - DAY ZERO
And that is the point of Mafia, discussion. What would you have us talk about if not our thoughts on the poll choices?thellama73 wrote:You said you wanted a house to protect you from zombies, he pointed out that we already have a house and that the vote is only to expand it, and then you both argued about it for two pages.Roxy wrote:If it is obv then please point it out to me b/c tbh I don't see or get his point.thellama73 wrote:I am a bit surprised by the vehemence of Roxy's reaction to Snow Dog. I am not at his throat I just do not like people to say I posted something when clearly I did not.
The end.
Again, I ask you, don't you like discussion? And I am especially not a fan of trying to paint someone as being over the top when they are not, becasue, especially after the last game, it seems to me an attempt to provoke a reaction. Last game you said she was "aggressive", and she was a civ; now you say "vehement", by which you mean a similar thing. It really feels to me that you are trying to intentionally upset her, which is a tactic I dislike in the extreme.

Very true~ but sailing off the edge of the world was a possibility that WAS mentioned in the sparse post.
Like I said, House felt like the most positive civvie option based on what was said by people who have played combined with the host post.

Re: MINECRAFT - DAY ZERO
This may well be true, I don't know. i do know that the host specifically said you could sail off the edge of the flat world, so perhaps there is significance in that. It did not sound very positive to me.Flyin' High wrote:For what it's worth, there is no "edge of the world" in Minecraft--new chunks spawn as you move through the world so there is always more to explore. Basically think of it as a giant, ever-expanding sandbox.S~V~S wrote:@ Snow~ generally Day Zero is a pregame, no kills is pretty standard. I have not played every game ever played, but I myself do not ever recall an NK in a Day or Night Zero phase that I have played.
@ FH~ I am clueless about what can happen to mobs in water. What makes me leery of ship is the sailing off the edge of the world thing mentioned in the host post.
While I myself would like the maximum of discussion before going into a 24 hour lynch to avoid "OMG, I don't know who to vote for, no one has caught my eye" I am willing to vote now if that is the consensus (who besides me & MP are left?).
My first reaction to Bank was, "No dang way~ I am not donating my labor to a massive corporation so that I can be ripped off by them" (I am kind of an Anarchist at heart and not a fan of banks or corporations), but then i remembered that I didn't write the host post, Kate did. And from her perspective, if the Stevies build a bank, and deposit their small amounts there, it is true the banks will profit, but so will the Stevies. But I still don't particularly like the Stevies focusing on profit when "shelter" is a life necessity.
I really don't like the boat; I can't see anything about it that isn't subjective, especially when referenced to the host post. Adventure is awesome, but so is a home port. And since Zombie is one of the roles, i don't think that going to sea will help us escape him any more than building a secure home base, which apparantly IS known to be a positive thing, so I am gonna vote for House~
We may not need the protection directly tonight, but since there is info, this 'feels' like the civviest option to me, so hopefully some of us will benefit

There is no NK tonight, so no worries on that frontSnow Dog wrote:So you think if we expand the home there will be no NK tonight? And I am not trying to convince you of anything. I don't care at all what you choose. I just question voting house under the pretext that we don't already have a home and that we are unprotected.Roxy wrote:Its early so I read the Host post again. The Bank and Ship both seem to have been started and the Home just needs some expansion. Since the Home is finished it will have a door. From what I gather from others posts is that Zombies cannot enter through a door so again I am happy with my pick.
Pick what you will Snow but don't try and make me be unsafe by trying to convince me to pick the Ship or Bank.
Generally these polls can be one of two things; either One, a directional poll; something happens based on our choice that will point us in a general direction as a whole, or perhaps based on who voted for what option. OR Two, a boon will be given to the group that wins the poll, once choice representing civs, one baddies and the other Indys. Generally I tend to think that directional polls would be less likely to have info, or to require much thought. Boon polls are a different story.
Had Kate not said "yes, there is info" I would have voted for Home already as it is most appealing based on the post alone, regardless of game related info about Zombies or what have you.

Re: MINECRAFT - DAY ZERO
The way the post reads, both the bank and the ship sound "meh".
Has anyone besides BF played this? We have 2 days, and while Ambray is right that discussion allows for influence, I would guess not only bad parties have info, and discussion will allow us to take more forward from this poll into the first lynch.
At this stage home sounds better than building a bank that we don't need, or a ship that could sail off the edge of the flat world. Is there a game based reason this supposition is wrong?

Since the hostess has confirmed info, I am glad we have a bit longer to decided this, and see who is pushing for what in order to make the best decision.
