timmer wrote:I'm so sorry MM, I really can't follow this, lol.

Interesting that Epig was apparently killed by an Old Rogue, I was starting to believe he WAS one,so I'll just trust that that role knows what they are doing.

Regarding DH and SVS... I am getting sleepy and must head to bed, but tomorrow I've got a lot of rereading to do, to find all of the people who weren't keen on a Bass lynch. it won't mean that they are all bad, but it will provide some insights.

And finally regarding Roxy, I've moved to a bit more of a neutral stance on her, I believe she may be an indy and I don't think I will be pursuing a lynch in her direction today.
Perhaps he could start using avatar descriptions instead of names? Like Film Maker for you, or White Troll for me? Or pictures if he can't describe it? There are ways around that, I think. Or as LC says, he could use numbers. Unless he is intentionally trying to be unintelligible, which I am beginning to suspect, based on the post you quoted.

As for DH & I, it is just DH. I have no opinion on him. We can never read each other, and have never been able to. I thought that spending most Saturday afternoons together playing D & D might have helped us both read each other better, but it hasn't. It HAS taught us both to get along better, I think, so we no longer wrench whole threads out of whack while we are misreading each other, lol, but we don't really "know" each other any better than we ever did.

He believes I was actively defending Bass 1.0. I was not; I mistakenly did not believe that he was bad. DH is mistaken.

DharmaHelper wrote:In the event I am unable to continue to press my SVS suspicion for whatever reason, here it is as bare-bones yet comprehensive as I can make it:

1. SVS (to borrow a phrase) "glomped" onto FZ's questioning of my vote, which felt odd to me. Taken by itself it is not damning evidence however; SVS is 90% likely to jump down my throat at any given game for any given reason. When I looked into it, that cracked the suspicion wide open for me.

2. SVS Made several Pro-Bass posts. She tried to downplay these as instead "not particularly suspicious of Bass" posts. As I pointed out, she called him "civvie-ish", called the lynch against him sketchy several times (awful, not feeling it, etc), and outright advocated on his behalf with regards to TH. These are not the actions of someone who considers Bass "not particularly suspect". Her downplaying of these remarks rings untrue to me. For example, she would have us believe that calling Bass's actions "civvie-ish" wasn't meant to imply that she thought he was a civ. Well, that's just plain susp-ish.

I've pulled several quotes already, and highlighted a lot of what I've talked about in this post, so I encourage you to go back and look at those if you have any questions regarding what it is SVS did and did not say.

In closing, There are two scenarios I can see that account for SVS's behavior.

1. She is Blacksmith and either recruited Bass N1 or planned to recruit him after seeing what Timmer pointed out
2. She is bad and wanted to keep Bass alive, so that they could get recruited together down the line.
OR I am a civ who did not think he was bad

LC, I did not see the case on any of the three, really. So since the votes were so close, I chose not to vote for any of them. I did not feel any of them were bad strongly enough to commit to it in a tight vote. Two, not three, really, since BF was never as serious lynch contender as Bullz or Bass.

I also said that THs reasons for voting Lllama were weak. I thought I was seeing a pattern of weak suspicions, that, for me, characterize bad TH. So 50/50 for me this game, since he was right on Bass, wrong on llama.

Linki, yes, DH, and as soon as you replied, I sais "Thank You" and never mentioned it again. I thought you were being vague. I have no info, so while hindsight is 20/20, at that time, your vagueness caught my eye.

I am not feeling any of the B-Boy votes.

I am going to vote for Turnip Head. I think his reasons for voting Llama were weak, I think his reasons for voting Bass are weak, too. TH takes voting seriously, and puts lots of thought into his votes when he's a civ, even if he does not post every thought. Todays vote i can get, he is working, he's is playing the Champs game, he's stretched thin. But his Llama vote was weaker than I expect from TH, even for Day 1.

I mean sure, if I were bad and felt that Eloh had stumbled a bit in her response to Epig and no one had really noticed or paid attention to it, it would make perfect sense to bring it up myself and point it... no, wait, actually it wouldn't?

Maybe I've got a civ role, and did an honest read through of the game, including my own predecessor's posts? You don't think that would make a wee bit more sense?
First, If you really caught up like you claim, you would have seen that a few people said Eloh's reply was fishy (TH and I come to mind as an example of those people), so claiming no one paid attention to it, would be either a lie or negligence.
Second, it obviously did make sense to bring it up yourself because other than me, I see no one really looking at you as a suspect (maybe Sophie, considering her last post). Like I said, I think it was a tactic to make you look good, and it seems like it did pay off.
Yeah, I recall when TH was asked why he would bring it up himself, my first thought was, "Well, just so people would say things just like that!"

After the intensity (for me at least) of the last lynch, I decided to take a step back today and plan to consider all cases, not just my own. I may still vote for Epi, but we'll see. I am caught up to current events, and hope to do some specific rereading today.

I am looking at Epi, LC & maybe sorta Timmer. That is where I want to reread. I would liken Timmer more to Bullz, really, than anyone. Bad or good. He can get a bit of an intense edge in a very similar way, but overall he is level & logical. My feelings on LC are hard to quantify, he is saying things that make me distrust him, but does not have that hearty, faux cheery demeanor I associate with bad LC. So it could just be paranoia.

Also, I know Soneji is new to our ways & polls. But where he plays, unvoting is the norm. So not sure why he would think it was OK to not so something of the sort here. At least announce his intentions.

Even I figured none of the Detectives voted for Llama, but the other part of Epis post was something I had not considered.

I kinda have the feels that BF/Bullz can be civ/civ. I am not seeing anything alarming from BF, and Bullz seems pretty sincere. Having just seen baddie rage from him in HSK, this looks different to me, this feels more indignant. Less angry. More civ. Like everything else, God knows I could be wrong :)

Actually, I do think this is very clear. Like I said, it's a speculation feel, not thread based. Sorry if I am not willing to commit to a speculation to the extent that you may like. It is possible. It is also possible that she was a civ. We need to judge Timmer based on Timmer right now. That was my feeling based solely off of Epis posts. A gut feel. As I said, a speculation feel. I am not married to it, I think it is possible.
And Epi seemed pretty sure. I still don't think he's a civ based on how he handled the whole "let's lynch Elo" thing, but that does not make him wrong. I think it is possible, while it is also possible that she was NOT bad, I find that less likely. The fact that Timmer came out against people who suspected Epi for trying to lynch HIM kinda gave me that feel. But it is a speculation feel. No basis in thread.

Can you explain this thought? I usually see "throwing someone under the bus" as something a baddie does to their teammate for the cred you speak of. I don't really see how it applies to the Epig-Eloh situation.
Can you stop skirting around SVS' question and answer why you think suspecting Epi is suspicious? Why do you seem to be so convinced he's not bad?
I never said that I think suspecting Epi is suspicious. I don't. All I did was ask why people are suspecting S~V~S and Roxy for being aggressive against Epig, and not mentioning Metalmarsh, when my read of his posts shows he was doing the same thing.
But he was not. You mainly seemed to be lumping us all together, when he was not saying the same things we were. He mainly only had the same suspicion.

Also, iirc, Splints was also on that same page, but was killed by the baddies. So

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 1)

TH, I want to take a more circumspect approach today. Plus there is more than one baddie. I was thinking to play more in the vote/unvote style of our newer members, but I never got around to unvoting, lol. I think i am too "focus-y" with suspicions to do well with that style.

@Timmer~ you have played with me before, right  ? That is generally how I do it. I see it, I believe it, I don't turn back. I have tried to change that about my game, but it is just my personality, not really a tactic, imo. It's what I do. Full speed ahead, damn the torpedoes. It has gotten me in trouble irl as well as in Mafia games.

Turnip Head wrote:Do you still think Epi is bad, SVS? Is anyone else jockeying for your vote right now?
I really do. I don't think Epi, as someone who has extensively hosted, would attempt to lynch Elo under the circumstances, when someone else had tried to sign up for the game hours before it started, if he was a civvie. He said that was his plan before the game even started (he said he would NK her if he had a kill, so that means he decided on this course before he got his role, right?) so he was planning to get her lynched civ or not. I can't accept this as something a civ would do.

Since the suspicion of me seems to be coming from multiple directions right now, that clouds judgment a bit. Is it real, or is it a No U? I am not getting the warm fuzzies from LC. The way he reacted to discussion of Llama, automatically jumping to the conclusion that he had to be faking his civ game alarmed me a bit. I would like to hear Rabbits rationale for his thoughts on LC, as well. I would like to hear more from Soneji, his last minute switch with no discussion of reasoning got my eye.

What about you?

Linki~ and that is still the basis of why I think he is bad. I don't think he would have wanted her dead if she was a civ if HE was a civ, you see my point?

There were several people who questioned Epig's methods on Day 1, and seemed good with his potential lynch. i highlighted Roxy and SVS above the others because they both seemed to be trying to keep the lynch focused on him, more than people like MM were.

But now it looks like Roxy is silenced? Looking at the roles, the most likely silencer is Abra Kadabra, which makes for an interesting question... why would an indy with no apparent motives but survival silence a player who was taking a bit of heat? The only thing I can think of is that there is a chance that Roxy IS that role and did this to herself. It's a ton of conjecture, and there may be other roles who can silence, I just don't see it. But I won't be voting Roxy today, anyway.
Um, I tried to keep the lynch focused on him becasue I believe he is bad. Isn't that what the point of this game is?

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 1)

I would not say cheating, I would say unsportsmanlike. People do fake this kind of thing to avoid lynching, but since Rox has done so herself in the past not sure she would do it again.

Since people are lumping us together, I feel it is bad for me, although I know we have no actual connection. With her silenced, I will be looked at more. But nevertheless, I am not comfortable with a vote for her just in case. But I think incapacitating people then lynching them is kinda mean.

But yeah, "cheating" is too strong a word.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 1)

EBWOP~ and yes, I did see Timmers post, and Aces. I believe Aces to be misguided. Still not sure about Timmer. I was thinking Epi may have been throwing her under the bus for that cred. Maybe not, not sure. But in any case, I totally disagree with their posts since I am not bad, but it is not easy to refute opinion

And like Bullz, I play my baddie game most of the time. Oddly it gets me in trouble more when i am civ than otherwise, but it is what it is. I found it impossible to play my civ game as a baddie, so I switched it up that way instead.

Why is suspecting epi suspicious?
Well, Timmer already said why he finds you and Roxy suspicious, and I assume you read his post. I curious as to why he would omit Metalmarsh from that suspicion and focus just on you two, when it looked to me like MM was doing the same thing.
And wow Roxy, Lol. I think she's trying to tell us something.
Yeah... that's the loudest silencing I have ever seen! :haha:
That isn't what I asked; I asked why suspecting Epi is suspicious. The only thing MM had in common with us was that suspicion. So why is that suspicious?

Not me, us. Now you have posted on top of her in a few threads, but when i came in this AM, she was the last poster in every forum except locked ones, and this one, lol. The last post column is a sea of red.

i don't see a direct silencer, but several roles have tildes that could be "silence".

For some reason, people thought my not being interested in anything besides being King of the Morlocks was somehow sinister and they lynched me for it.

History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of man. :disappoint:

This was how the Llama/X Men thing started, DH. Not exactly "leading a train". YOU started that train, iirc. After this I made two posts where I was wishy washy. Like how Llama does this to amuse himself when he has no BTS, which does not mean much in this game. Personally he looked exactly like he did in that game to me. But it is possible as well that he was doing it on purpose as some thought, which is pretty much all I said about the situation.

Don;t be blaming me for this one, the five people who voted him at the end, when Epi was clearly in the lead, are where the fingers should be pointing (not even at you, tbh). If finger pointing needs to be done.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 1)

I agree, which is one of the reasons I can't see him being a civ. I don;t think a civ Epi would have throw an unknown role under the bus that way unless he KNEW she was bad. I just don't.

And yeah, I am one of them. Several people, llama voters iirc, have mentioned me in a negative way :)

I have stuff to do shortly, and ~ not sure how long I will be afk. Will be back by tonight.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 0)

Timmer, he said this:
Epignosis wrote:Since it has been touched on already, and even though I was trying to be tactful, I will just spell it out.

I got lynched in HSK the day before spring break started for us. I had no Mafia during spring break (I'm sorry- I don't consider LMS Mafia), and was bummed. Flash had been in sign-ups for weeks. Eloh signed up so her pouting husband could have something fun to do. I decided I would kill her Night 1 if I could, or, if that couldn't happen, I would try to get her lynched.

That's right. My wife loves me, and I'm trying to kill her.

With her having no knowledge or interest in the theme, I figured that she would commit herself if she had BTSC, and I would have left her alone (well, in that case, I still might have Night killed her, but I can't).

I say this because I'm not trying to play the Eloh expert, distract you from talking about me, be mean-spirited by going after my wife Day 1, or whatever else I've been accused of doing. She has a gazillion cakes to make, and she signed up so I could play.

That's my hidden agenda.

Thus, here I am trying to remove a player who probably is not vested in this, and who I do not think has BTSC (and is therefore unlikely to be one of the six Old Rogues), and I'm the one with the most votes.

The irony is not lost on me. :meany:

Addendum.
And in my book, saying you are trying to get someone lynched = killing them.

Epignosis wrote:I want to lynch Elohcin.
So I think either he KNEW she was bad and was going for the cred, which is impossible, how could he KNOW, even if he had an info role, there has been no night?? Or he did not care if she was bad, and was just lynching her to get her out of the game. Which does not strike me as a civvie move.

Coolio, how do you feel about timmer and his responses today?
I think he sounds like Timmer. Generally hard to read for me. Someone I respect, but also someone I tend to distrust since he can fool me. Too early to say yet. But like I said up there ^^, unless Epi KNEW it for a fact, which he could not, I think Timmer deserves a fair shake, and will be a lot harder for Epi to lynch. Since I assume he is going to keep trying, since he was so sure Elo was bad :)
