Re: [DAY 6] Avant-Garde Mafia 2
I missed the second post (plus friends were over and I had had a few drinks), and I am like 99% positive she was a civ and it upsets me that she is dead. Not just for RL reasons, like the game is more fun with her in it, but also because she was a major discussion leader, and for the most part we saw things the same way, and she is much more articulate than I.timmer wrote:SVS you seem to be awfully attack-y about Kate's death. It seems pretty clear how she died to me? Why attack anyone who seems to not be talking it, like you are? It's weird.
And I freak at the drop of a hat, you know that. The last thing that whole episode was was weird, it was pretty typical.

But even if Zappa were recruited, Droopys win conditions would not change, unless that is part of the (secrets) for Beefheart. So I guess that is possible. But it as also possible he just thinks chaindeath is fun, lol.
Judgment reserved, but still something to keep an eye on.

Re: [NIGHT 5] Avant-Garde Mafia 2
OK, I can be happy with a vote for Devin (who has seemed to have no one pushing his name) or for Illy. Civvies, please don't vote for chaindeath ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/sad.gif)
I am not totally comfortable voting for Faraday, he did not vote, and I am a tad nervous with BWT voting for him~ I am not sure they have ever played together?
So I will vote for whichever of Illy and Devin get the most votes to push them past chaindeath, who is really probably a baddie, based on prior analysis up thread and on new secrets revealed.

For me it is between Illy, Devin & Faraday; both chaindeath and Lorab pinged me, although Lorab did one hell of a lot more. Axxon was fairly quiet.
Illy was contributing a lot, she held up a lot of the early discussion. And both Devin & Faraday left us too soon. i will think about it and decide tonight![Happy :)](./images/smilies/happy.gif)

RIH Grey 1! Bye LT! I definitely felt something was up the second you agreed with me being bad so glad someone took their suspicion of you all the way.
And my case on Trice didn't fall flat, SVS. I was actually listening to you and giving it some thought before I hastily voted that way. But your snarkiness with regards to me is duly noted.

Re: [NIGHT 5] Avant-Garde Mafia 2
I was gonna say this~
Devin the Omniscient
DFaraday
LoRab
axxon n
Illyria
chaindeath
Axxon did not participate. I felt LoRab was a baddie, not sure why, but I just did. I kinda felt like that about chaindeath as well. Illy was very involved, but she just made me nervous~ that could just be me, she often does. But for me that leaves Faraday or Devin, and i guess I might consider illy as well.
I have to reread her to see if, considering subsequesnt events, she seemed as if she were associated with anyone subsequently proven bad.
Linki BWT~ So wht=y did you say PROBABLY???
Linki again~ Illyria, 31 posts, Chaindeath, 15, and she died like a week before him![Blank :|](./images/smilies/blank.gif)

Sorry DH, but neither of our candidates are being lynched. CBK/Tim could be bad, there were times I tilted my head at CBK. I was hoping to give Timmer a chance to play the game and prove himself civ, but i guess that isn't happening.
I still think she was a distraction, though.
linki @ Trice, yeah. i caught that too (about BWT), plus he is considering a vote for someone for being blendy when there is so much suspicion?

Maybe it is strange. Maybe he is lying about prizes, maybe he is hoarding prizes in a closet. That does not change the fact though that he somehow won a book and revealed a baddie secret, and she did not ![Shrug ](./images/smilies/shrug2.gif)
So it is an interesting sidelight, and I hope he comes in and clears it up. But it does not make me less suspicious of FH.

Maybe, but the point was that he won a prize. Maybe he misunderstood where he won it, or misstated. But Kate says he won a prize, and so does FH. He won one. The issue I thought was what was done with the prize. BWT won a prize and revealed a baddie secret.reywaS wrote:You don't think it's strange that bwt said he won a prize in the poker tourney for finishing 3rd when I finished 2nd and didn't win anything?
As opposed to FH who revealed a civvie secret.
This appears to just be a distraction to me. He won a prize, obviously. I am sure the source will be determined at some point.

NVM, here it isbirdwithteeth11 wrote:@FH: Nope. I won it from the poker tournament. I ended up finishing 3rd, so I was assuming the rest of the top 2 won another book. I guess I was wrong.
And yeah, if you had both green and purple, what was your reasoning for choosing green over purple? I at least figured the red book had something to do with the indy roles, so I'm sure you could have figured it out based on the book colors.
Still, I don;t think the source of the prize is all that big of a deal. Actually, implying it did kinda makes FH look more guilty to me.

Correct me if i am wrong, but this reads like a textbook example of a classic distraction. There is more than one way to win a prizeFlyin' High wrote:@Kate: Again, if you knew I had a book, or guessed (which makes sense, not arguing that) why do you not find it strange that BWT didn't win his book from the same contest as you and me? I'm not sure what it means, personally, I just find it odd.

I am not sure what i think of this. FH sounds very plausible, but then she always does. And i know her to be competent and really, really smart. I don;t know that I buy all this "Whoopsy, silly me, i forgot

I just did a skim, I have to reread more deeply, and then do the reread i said I planned to do.

Re: [DAY 5] Avant-Garde Mafia 2
I have to say that the person who most sticks out to me in the circles is Flyin High. TBH. Her error in the Day two poll of moving a voter (a low posting voter, only 17 today, most everyone after him, although not all, is dead, replaced or NP) square into the most suspicious position, followed a few days later by getting pretty defensive about being wishy washy (which i tend to view as bad FH)....well, I look forward to hearing what she has to say today. I plan to reread her tonight after work.timmer wrote:Wow, shockingly my family all went to bed early and I found the time to read through the entire game (skimming some of the more repetitive "YOUR wrong, well YURE WRONGR" stuff).
First, the Droopy and Vomp lynches suck but I can see how they happened. Neither player felt very civvie as I read through. (No offense, guys)
Second, I feel like DH is desperate to get rabbit lynched, and the instant I saw him start to break out the calculus and shit, I thought "let me guess, this will end with rabbit being incriminated as being bad". And sure enough, there's rabbit in a circle. I don't particularly feel that DH is bad or anything, and I know he's got history with the bunny, but his constant digging at rabbit while constantly voting inh is odd, somehow.
But, I'll say that in one of DH's circles is the player who sticks out the most to me upon reread: boats. It feels like he is just posting enough to get by and seem like he's participating.
And finally, before I crash for the night, I'll say I notice that my predecessor's voting for rabbit has earned a few eyes. I can't speak for whatever her thoughts were on the game, especially since she didn't apparently post that much, but I personally wouldn't have voted for rabbit in that lynch. He seems like civ-rabbit to me. bad Rabbit gets way more cocky and overconfident. And besides, his poor Texans lost to my Patriots so we should cut him some slack anyway, I'm sure he's still upset.
Boats has not said or done anything to get my eye, and I am kinda surprised to see him being called out. He has more posts than Aces; what is your opinion of him? Is he also blendy? With a history of lynching new-to-Mafia civs in this game, I would need more than "blendy" to lynch yet another new player. Is "blendy" the whole reason he sticks out to you?

Re: [DAY 5] Avant-Garde Mafia 2
i have not forgotten that i owe you a hat-eating from Spongebob.DharmaHelper wrote:From that, I guess this is the most interesting bit:
7 minutes between FH and BWT
2 minutes between FH and Rabbit
Even though all 6 votes are less than 2 hours apart, FH votes within minutes of both Rabbit and BWT (on two separate occasions, I'll grant you.)
So the link is there I guess. Again, I'm not anticipating much to come out of this but I'll keep at it anyway.

Re: [DAY 5] Avant-Garde Mafia 2
Yeah, but based on thread context, I think one or two of those are civs.
So![Shrug ](./images/smilies/shrug2.gif)
I don't know if you used this data, too, there was a mistake here as well on Day Two~ this lynch may have been more telling than the last two as to dispersal, especially Day three when the two big vote getters both flipped civ, it did not really matter where the baddies voted that day.

Boomslang wrote:Boomslang agrees that the third person, when done consistently, can be an interesting character trait. However, if Vomp's vote was forced, then Rabbit may be civ, so I'm getting on the bea bandwagon.
Flyin' High wrote:RIPIYWG axxon and Illy!
I didn't really have much of a read yet on either of you.
So here's a breakdown of the voting order with the tally of votes accrued:
1. axxon (LoRab) 1
2. Epignosis (The Truth) 1
3. triceratops (SVS) 1
4. The Truth (SVS) 2
5. Vompatti (rabbit) 1
6. DH (rabbit) 2
7. jokreher (bea) 1
8. Aces (rabbit) 3
9. Kate (bea) 2
10. LT (bea) 3
11. SVS (bea) 4
12. LoRab (triceratops) 1
13. Illyria (chaindeath) 1
14. chaindeath (rabbit) 4
15. Mr. Droopy (rabbit) 5
16. insertnamehere (bea) 5
17. Flyin' High (bea) 6
18. DisgruntledPorcupine (bea) 7
19. Captain Bunny Killer (rabbit) 6
20. rabbit (bea) 8
21.Boomslang (rabbit) 7
Didn't vote: bea, Benthayer, birdwithteeth, boatsboatsboats, reywaS, and Roxy
Since bea was a baddie, there's a chance her teammates may have tried to save her by adding votes onto rabbit in yesterday's lynch. Based on timing, I plan to take a closer look at Captain Bunny Killer and Boomslang. Also chaindeath and Mr. Droopy.
