The snow just started here on Long Island, but the wind chill yuk. It's blowing sideways, even the dog was like, fuck this, lets go in, lol.

My brother was. He had birth defects that kept him from participating in most athletics, and when he was a kid they didn't really have special needs athletics. So when the neighborhood Soccer League started giving participation trophies, he was super excited about having an actual sports trophy. He is in his 40's now and still has that thing.

Yeah, if you Google "Hyundais on fire" you will get quite a few results. You would think if there was a problem the manufacturer can isolate that they would have done something by now, so if I were you, I would do some deeper research on this, see if they have found anything., and keep following it.

This is an article from last month about random Hyundais (and Kias) catching on fire. This is apparently a "thing" that has been happening.

You could also dress up as a LOST character, but I think the Wilson one will be better. Have little kids ever even heard of Gilligan? They prolly have heard of Tom Hanks and soccer balls, though.

Our local News 12 just showed a snowplow skid into a snowbank. Yikes. We are at about 4" with a wintry mix making it that heavy slushy snow that freezes solid overnight. I got home a couple hours ago and just went out to move my car into the driveway behind the landlord after they got home, and there was an inch of ice under the snow on my windshield. Yuck.

AoS got infamous because the first half of Season 1 was subpar, so it never got quite a following. But after that it turns into a pretty great show.

I've watched the first 3 seasons. Need to catch up.

We made the decision we made because there has been hurt (and this is over the course of the thread, not just recently) and you can, and should, feel free to discuss what you will via PM.

We hid it for now. It might be back. It might not.

Opinions are opinions, not facts. They can't be proved or disproved, but gosh, do people love trying, amirite? There are whole swaths of my family with whom I only discuss weddings, babies and funerals. Less hurt that way.
