as in coming from someone who is informed of the player's alignment by virtue of being a member of the informed minority faction - the read on sig, that is. sorry, realized i probably wasn't being clear with that. in general when someone is a runaway wagon target scum will often weakly white knight them with reasoning like that which doesn't actually change anything because they want to distance themselves from the flip.

svs's one significant suspicion is on you for 'slanking' which isn't remotely accurate

I'm not comparing Lucy to this people in this thread, but to other games where Lucy is generally, imo, much more high energy than here. I don't really think she would ever be a "slanker" per se compared to most people, I am comparing her to herself, if that makes sense. I do admit she certainly is more invested than I, so that's a somewhat hypocritical look from me. I have had a problem getting my head back into this game after having to go AFK, and being soo wrong on my initial suspicion, that kinda took the wind out of my sails. It was also bad timing for playing 2 games.

This afternoon I will be able to fully be here.

my point is somewhat of an esoteric one but in general people who claim early are usually town

i was mixing "Heightenings" as roles. When you started sharing info, I thought you had a role. When I looked at the first page, I saw it was an ability, not a role.

I'm recrafting my POE, the person I mostly suspected, Doom, has been cleared to my satisfaction based on the timing of her Day One vote. I find her to be an unlikely Falcon partner. I still think Lucy is slanking, and town Lucy isn't generally a slanker. As for everyone else, after my few days AFK, I need to redevelop, and i appreciate the forbearance y'all have had, but also know it won't last forever.

I wanted to let you know I had a death in my family. It was my uncle, and we weren't close, but he was my Dads younger brother and he's pretty broken up, so I'm going to go hang with him today, and probably tomorrow, and will be AFK. I should be back to catch up in the evenings so I can make an informed vote.

At this point I'm going to vote Pyxxy, as I read back last night and agree with Sean, although now Sean seems to be on Neon? In any case, thanks for patience.

I will definitely say that I find it perplexing that Pyxxy is clearing me when I voted Falcon an hour before EOD, but is voting for Doom who is much closer to cleared than I am by a Falcon vote. She was the first or second voter, iirc.

BUT I also don’t think it’s as important as you do.

Someone says they have info, and people just believe them. No one should be lock town unless you personally have info. I think saying someone is locktown based on anything other than info one personally got themselves from the host is way overdone.

I think Pyxxy calling me locktown is ridiculous. But in GOC baddie Marmot was locktowned by a townie for equally invalid reasons.

Everyone throws this word around like it means something, but it doesn’t.

Like people seem to trust what other people say too much, imo. If another player says something it doesn't mean it's real.

neon and doom are both players where i feel like they're town but can't justify it as strongly as the others

I was thinging Doom was kinda making baddie excuses early on and thought she was bad, but her early vote for Falcon makes me feel better there. She said it in passing when she did not have to make a vote (like I think her Falcon vote is cleaner than mine, for instance) and never moved from it. A good look, even if she was kinda phoning it in the rest of the day.

Less sure about Neon. Shes doing her "In no world is Lucy bad" thing, and I've seen her do this as a civ. And tbh, I think Lucys Scotty vote is pretty sketch. So not sure if Neon being Neon or what.

Actually, Nutella hosted the second or third game I played at Lostpedia back in 2009. So we're pre-TS OG. The only ones in this game; I hadn't noticed that.

I think it's because Nutella may not have been the first vote on Falcon, but she did drive the thread to switch to him. She was in the thread like a ring master getting him chopped; she didn't just vote for him. She got him yeeted.

Having read through Gira, I won't be voting there today. I don't agree with some of his thoughts (but it's day one and I don't have to), but those thoughts have evolved, like his sig stance.

TBH, I DO agree with Gira here. I also get annoyed by posts like "Player X scum, Player Y town, Player Z scum" because knowing why someone feels that way helps inform my own opinion about the person making the statement and the people they're talking about. When I went back and read the conversation Nutella was referencing, Gira didn't say what she is implying he said, her whole thing is basically a semantics thing, and he actually said the opposite.

I'm not sure what about this is "made up".

I’m not an expert on SVS, but I know she isn’t afraid to get down and dirty and make strong cases. Day 1 is gonna Day 1 and cases are flimsier than a paper plate covered in baked beans but I don’t get the impression she has worked to make any cases.

Re Lucy, my experience of her is that early game, she banters, makes tons of OT posts; indeed she opened this one by asking if there was a post cap. This is NAI for her, imo. However, I had the same reaction as Omega to the way Lucy reacted to Neons vote; she sounded a bit petulant, which is not a thing I associate with town Lucy. Subsequent posts, she also sounds a bit pissy rather than 'pissed', which would be more the reaction I'd expect from a town Lucy.

This could be a distancing situation with Lucy/Omega. One thing I did take away, I think this unpairs Lucy and Neon. Lucy seemed really unhappy about Neons vote, and I think if they had a chatroom, she would have brought it there.

The first thing I did when I opened the thread this AM was look to see if Creature did come back. So this caught my attention because I wasn't sure if this was Day One Jokey voting or what. I played the GOC with Creature, but we never really interacted at all, it was such a big thread, and I've never seen srceenplay before, so I don't know if this is an existing dynamic.

Then when I got home and started to catch up, intending to vote, this was on the last page:

She has not addressed me directly, either. And from what I can see she has posted mostly more sad posts overnight.

All she has done is basically post AtE, but it feels real, and it appears not to be just in this thread. So sorry if this feels "hedgy" to you, but the way she came in from the start seemed sketch to me, it STILL seems sketch. MUCH more sketch than Gira, for instance, who once they showed up, looked like the towniest thing ever to me (I only specifically read you when i saw I had a vote, I haven't fully read back yet, so am not sure why he has votes). But the AtE seems real enough. So would you like it better if I hounded her?

So i didn't vote for her last night, I still haven't voted for her now, and unless she comes in and addresses what I've said, I quite possibly won't because it's just a game and no one wants to feel like a bitch.

So I am probably going to vote for Lucy, who seems potentially associated with Doom to me. You said her wagon looked "stinky and static", but then you also said this, which is kinda exactly how I feel. She looks much more like Holes Lucy to me than Crusader Lucy.

I jumped on Lucy since she’s come in very different than her normal game.

That simple. We’ve got 24 hours left if I see more of her town meta I’ll switch since she’s a good asset for town (don’t let that go to your head lucy I still won’t listen to you if I don’t want to)

I am assuming this is their bad list? Becasue their vote is still on Creature. I agree on Doom (is this the preferred call for Omega?). My top 3 would be Creature, Scotty and Sean. In this game mech talk is beneficial, and they’re trying to figure out the most beneficial way to use the extra layer the breaths mechanic provides to the towns best advantage.
