I’m used to checking it constantly ha ha ha. If it’s not here I’ll break that habit and I checked with Scotty and he’s cool with archiving

I enjoyed this so much, if I can drag Juliets out of retirement I might consider hosting again.

Yay I went to bed feeling so happy about the way this went, I just loved waking up to this.

The spectators voted on what art went into the banner, too. It was *fun*, which is kind of the point of playing games.

Sorry you weren't happy with how it ended or how we chose to handle things. Next time take it private from the beginning. If you have anything to add to this please take it to Discord or PM us. Thank You.

This game was a joy to host; everyone was respectful and a lot of fun behind the scenes as well as in the thread.

We had great players, and that more than the set up is what makes a great game!

Very good play, I couldn't pinpoint you as SK xD I considered that the mafia puppet in East meant there was an extra 3p in West but the extra kills had stopped so I scrapped the idea lmao. Well done!

I could only kill even nights, and in fact the only people I successfully managed to kill were Dyslexicon and Epignosis (though I may or may not have killed nutella by accident). The rest was pure endurance

Actually, WWA also killed Epi last night and Nook killed Dizzy the same time you did.

Whereas other, more cogent organizations could field a full team, somehow multiple secret factions worked successfully to upend the integrity of Mafiasportsball at its core through squabbling and distrust.

"You know, SVS," Scotty puttered, standing. "Maybe next year they can increase our budget. I'd like to sign a free agent, like Benicio Del Toro or Paul Rudd. Maybe that's what we were missing the whole time- I mean, who would want to kill Paul Rudd?"
SVS squinted and looked at him quizzically. "Hollywood actors? Do they even play Mafiasportsball?"
Scotty's eyes widened. "I don't know. But a boy can dream. Isn't that what Mafiasportsball is all about? A dream, a little ingenuity, and some damned good acting?"

That got a chuckle out of her- enough that she eventually got up an threw the shitty macaroni sculpture in the trash. Scotty, beaming, put on his cape and ran out of the locker room Naruto-style. SVS got to the door, took one look back, and said to herself. "You were all winners to me, and you always will be. Even those of you that betrayed others. I'm proud of you all."

With that, she flicked the lights off, and left the facility behind to gather dust. Until next time.

Severance

It had been a long week, and WindwardAway was glad to be back home,

even if only for an hour or so. She had enjoyed her last assignment at Lumon Industries so much, she had remained her self, a human being, and her motives were clean, even though that had not ended as she would have wished. It also had paid well. She entered her home, turned on the music and flew up the steps.

This time around, the whole form business was a bit gross to her, if truth be told. She was fastidious and preferred a clean, airy aesthetic and all the legs, it was too much. She was looking forward to a successful conclusion, and the sooner the better. She had enjoyed her team, though, and missed them, but still was looking forward to getting back to work. She had just needed to duck back home to make sure she had her ID card, even though she wasn't sure it would work in her current form.

She went out onto the roof, faced into the wind, took off and raced across the sky. She came to a landing near her final destination. Just as she did so, a large plastic square came from the sky, with a resounding "swat" and smushed her flat.

Sorry, but the post is going to be about 15 minutes late, we are having technical difficulties

Epignosis was jealous.

Everyone else seemed to be having so much fun, and it just annoyed him. It made him feel even more curmudgeony than normal (and Epignosis was a famed curmudgeon). He had no reason to feel that way; he was talented, had a great family, and what could have been a fulfilling life. But it was never enough, THAT person seemed happier, THIS person had a newer car, That guys kids listened without him needing to threaten them with Castle Greyskull.

His idea of fun was running into a place dressed in a bizarre costume, making a cryptic remark, and running away.



It was all kinda strange.

On this day, he sat looking out his window, listening to some old 20 minute song recorded before he was born, wondering how he could wipe those happy looks from his neighbors faces. He was so engrossed in his envy, that he did not notice that the only neighbor who it seemed was even crankier than he was, had come into his house.

His neighbor cleared their throat.

Epignosis looked up, too surprised for once to look disgruntled. He threw some old used lingerie at them, but nothing happened.

Epignosis is dead.

Epignosis

Dr Wilgy was definitely a Doctor.

Well, maybe not anymore. Maybe it was just a courtesy title, like Godfather, or when you called your parents friends "Uncle" or "Aunt", but they weren't really related to you.

He was going back and forth alot these days, between his home base of Hallandren, and the harbor. Although the harbor trips were pointless it would seem, for all the good they did him. He never seemed able to catch his breath.

He had never seemed to be caught up, and when his associates had had unfortunate accidents, it didn't help.

He turned the corner, and the harbor came into sight. Maybe he could actually catch his friend aboard and get somewhere this time!

But nope, he never made it. The mob saw him, and chased him into a place so dark, even he couldn't see. He called out for his friend, but it was too late for that.

After they were done with him, the mob turned towards the harbor. He was looking a bit dingy and dim by the time they were done with him.

Dr Wilgy had died.


DrWilgy:

There's alot more to sig than meets the eye.

Sig is probably the best natured person in any game he plays. Even mid yeet he's haha-ing and at people. He was deeper than he looked. And he never brought the drama, he always defused it. He deserved an award for his game in Scooby Doo; his baddie performance in in that game was spectacular.

He's always fair, and is willing to hear and discuss points in favor of the people he suspects.

From now on, anytime a couple plays a game, I'll be on the lookout for the Ika/Silverwolf maneuver, as should we all. Thanks sig, we hardly knew ye, even though you'd think that, by now, we all would.

Davos waited about the mizzenmast.

He seemed to never make rendez vous with his contact. He would have like to be more useful, but drinking and wenching took so much time!

So much energy!

He never seemed to be around when his partner showed up, and things just never seemed to work out for them.

He looked ashore and saw a ruckus, took out his spyglass and spied a number of people fighting and waving pitchforks and torches.

"Arr", he said to himself, "I had best be getting meself out of here afore the mob comes a lookin' for me!".

But they saw his ship pulling away from the dock, and sent flaming arrows into his sails.

Davos has drawn his last breath

Nutella didn't feel very zany.

She had recently been described as "zany", but she didn't see it at all.

This entire thing had seemed an uphill battle for her. It all just seemed vaguely intangible, just out ... of .... her ... reach. The opposite of zany, to be honest.

It came together

And then the next day

Eh, maybe not so much. So she went home and made a nice bolognese sauce and watched the slideshow from her latest trip again.

The next day she went back to the theater, waited in the wings to go out onto the stage with everyone else for the opening number. She was a bit early, and was standing alone in the shadows.

Until she suddenly wasn't. A voice hissed in her ear, "I've been trying to reach you about your extended warranty!!"

Which was rather a strange thing to say, she thought, as she felt the blade.

Nutella never made the opening number, and they managed to pull it off without her. The show must go on!

Nutella has died.

Nutella:

Master Radishes got into his new car.

This car was the worst car he had ever gotten; he shouldn't have even taken it, but the sales man had been so persuasive!

He was ready to go home, pick up his family, and get on the road. Vacation!

Nothing better than a family road trip.

He was in such a rush to get home, he took the dodgy shortcut he usually avoided. It went past the harbor, and was in kind of a sketchy part of town, but it cut ten minutes off his drive.

As he went around a curve, a crazed mob waving pitchforks came racing across the road. He swerved to avoid them, and went right through the railing and into the sea 50 feet below. The heavy steel frame of the truckster went straight to the bottom, and they didn't even find his body for 6 months.

With a name like "Tony Stark Prime" you might have thought he was kind of arrogant.

But he really wasn't; he loved art, and it isn't everyone who can be an art teacher. So while he had his badass aspects, he had his warm side, too.

No matter what crazy shenanigans his family got up to, no matter how confusing and difficult they made life for him, he always kept his focus and did the right thing for them, even if they neither knew it, not appreciated it.

The town had been lucky to have him and his loyalty. But sadly, he had been so focused on doing right for others, he for got about himself.

Long Con was glad he came on this trip.

He had given up on these excursions for a few years, developed other hobbies. But he was drawn back in, and had been enjoying it. Recently, things had not always been going his way, he never seemed to make it past the first couple days before those annoying pitchfork wavers showed up and ruined his day.

This time it had been different, more like the old days. He had gotten in the thick of it, but had still managed to evade all of the death that was happening around him.

Hopefully it was almost over, and he could soon go back to his life for a time, creating masterpieces and helping to build the family business to new levels. He felt his life was so divine.

But he had done such a good job of evading the pitchfork people, that when he looked over his shoulder to make sure they weren't behind him, he walked right into what turned out to be the real danger.

Long Con has died.

Sloonei stood on the hill overlooking the training camp.

He looked through his binoculars, sadly watching the latest travesty unfold.

He had followed this ragtag group, as they followed those crazy coaches all over the countryside. Watched them dig holes, and play trivia contests where the prizes were murders!

He was a betting man. There were a few people he had bet on; bet on to make it out of this in one piece. But this shitshow was worse than he had expected. He saw no way for him to win his bet now, so he was going to walk away. He had seen enough of this mass psychosis, and was getting out of here before he became a suspect in the investigation that would inevitably be coming, or even worse, ended up in a shallow grave himself. He had done so well in his last adventure, defeating the werecreatures and a giant zombie bear, he had had high hopes for this one. But, no.

He popped his binoculars in his backpack, turned around and went down the far side of the hill. He daydreamed of home.

He didn't look back.

Sloonei has failed his win con and has left the game.

Nanook was a non conformist.

He had some original ideas (like, Accountants can't have tattoos, for instance). He had a strong sense of justice, even when it went against himself. He was a pretty easygoing guy, but wasn't afraid to speak up for himself, or others, if he thought he saw injustice, or something that went against his ideas of right and wrong.

Sometimes he had trust issues. But he was always willing to talk it out, if that was possible. To interface, as it were.

But sometimes he trusted the wrong people, and it got him into trouble. There were times he joked around with obvious stalker daddies. Like today for instance. He thought this mob with torches and pitchforks would listen and understand.

Nah.

NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME (and it took me three tries to type that without spaces) has died.

Dyslexicon was skeptical.

He had spent nights upon nights traipsing all over this landscape, searching for something he wasn't sure even existed.

Normally he enjoyed just existing in the night, enjoying the sounds of nature around him, the Milky Way painting the sky, the delicate rush of the waters flowing by.

All of this traipsing around, and now digging, was ruining that for him.

He never heard the sounds of someone creeping up on him, the crickets were too loud.

Cape had revenge on his mind.

He wasn't really sure why; a man in a Scotty dog costume had told him this was the case, and he had no real choice but to believe him.

In his unique position, Cape could see much others could not. He tried his best to sow chaos, but alas, chaos somehow refused to be sown.

He knew more about what was going on, and he shared. But it didn't seem to matter. When the mob comes for you, it doesn't need a reason.

Since Cape did not submit a song, I chose to use this aquarium video (all 11 hours of it!!) since with his avatar, and his name, he must love the sea. At least I hope he does, lol.

Cape90 has died.

Cape90: The little dog walked out into the field.


He didn't go far; his enormous head slowed him down.

He looked around; his person wasn't there, he saw no ghosts, or greedy, down on their luck industrialists posing as ghosts. He was a dog, so he started to dig a hole. He was a dog

As he dug, he saw something moving in the hole. He dug faster.

An ENORMOUS spotty lizard jumped out of the hole, grabbed him by the neck, choked him and sunk his poisonous fangs into him for good measure.

Scrappy Doo found the poisonous Yellow Spotted Lizard, and has died.

Sabiplz was kinda skeptical.


Scotty: please Sabi, play, it’ll be fun!

Sabiplz: I dunno, you know I hate mafia.

Scotty: it’ll be fun. I promise! Plus you have SVS’ favorite role!!

Sabiplz: Ok I guess, how lame could it be?

Sabi decided to take a small trip to take their mind off Mafia. They sat in the train, staring out the window, counting the railroad crossings they passed. One, two, three. They were almost up to 100 bwa ha ha, when they realized someone was sitting next to them, holding pointy objects. For the last, and only, time in their life, Sabi lost count.

When Falcon left the show with his friends, he was in a great mood.

Not the least bit apprehensive. Maybe this was a mistake.

A Battle of the Bands was the kind of show Falcon most enjoyed attending. The bands had been spot on; not a note out of place, unless it sounded better that way. It was hard to say that one had been better than the other. Normally, his head would be filled with the sounds of the bands he had just heard, he might be humming as he walked or even singing a few lines of the lyrics. As his friends were doing, some air guitar, singing into an invisible microphone.

But tonight, he kept hearing pounding trumpets, a driving beat; not a rock beat. At first he thought it was totally in his head, but soon it seemed to be in the air around him. He looked at his friends, but they did not seem aware of it. They turned a corner into a dark alley (stories like this always seem to end up in dark alleys, yet people still somehow always turn into them). When you turn into an alley, you expect to find some garbage pails, maybe a few stray cats. But in this alley, they were confronted with a group of varied great apes. Not something you'd expect in a clean, friendly town in Canada.

Falcons friends, who were not mesmerized by music only they could hear, turned tail and fled like the sharp mobsters they were. Falcon, not so much.
