Also it's N2 not endgame
I actually feel like Occam's Razor points the other way on this one. If the mafia team have the trickster, why WOULDN'T they use him every night? And what would be more confusing and misleading than flipping a kill as scum? And even moreso, what scum role is DEFINITELY scum and even more confusing?

So either a mafia team is playing pretty well, or a kill last night got REALLY lucky.

I could be wrong, but I feel like that's 50/50 or so personally.

I still come back to "how do we react to this information" and if the answer is just "idk but you should think about it" I will remain unsatisfied.
I've lynched people in games before solely based on their interactions with a known scum.

I will not be doing that with TH's flip.

Wilgy - No read. Maybe some incriminating info though? Hard to say with the vagueness of the Sabie connection.
G-Man - I've read like 3 of his posts. Most of his bad stuff was apparently in skipped pages.
Quin - I voted to put some suspicion on quin to see how he shined under it. Before he could shine, he became the lead train. Teammate compatible with TH. I don't read him much bad otherwise, but he hasn't been perfect Genuquin yet.

Um. Scum the lot of them. I'll try to get some more nuance in my reads later.

juliets this is why I put LoRab on my list.

I am sympathetic to LoRab here. I see that as healthy skepticism, which is a good thing.
It's also exactly what I would expect a teammate to do. Perhaps my feelings on LoRab are better framed as "teammate-compatible," I don't feel this is a valid lynch reason on its own. But I will also take jules' opinion that this is typical for her into account.

Enrique: Mostly goof posts. Not really hunting or grinding. Did that whole "Angle Shooting" thing earlier which is whatever.

Lunalee: After a fluffy, lighthearted start, Here she suspects people for jumping onto Epi's DDL "case". Jumps up Colin's ass when Colin suspects Sloonei here. Dunks on nutella's vote reasoning RE: Jack here. Has a "good reason" to vote Colin since he jumped on DDL so early. This might have been a joke on Mac's part but the response seemed a little "nervous" to me. Votes Wilgy cuz she figures Wolbre is town. Without knowing exactly where the votes were at, it could be she was covering her ass and trying to look civ AF by voting the off-wagon, but IIRC her vote pushed Wilgy further into contention with Wolbre, so looks good. Here she says she "likes to think" the Wilgy wagon is good. She was on the Wilgy wagon, and just got done talking with a few people about how there are 2 mafia teams lol. Here she advocates Occam's Razor RE: TH's flip. http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 02311]Here She sticks to her guns RE: Colin, and poo-poo's the G-Man train. Here She follows that up with "reason to believe" G-Man is not guilty. Anyway, something's up with Luna. She's still a Yellow for me.

Tranq: Defends DDL then Here he defends Sloonei, wants to hear more from G-Man. When asked to give his suspects here instead he says there are people he'd rather not vote for, then tosses Doc in the mix as a possible vote. After tossing out some more names of people he trusts/won't vote, (Epignosis, Me) Tranq Defaults to Wilgy. Follows that with Another Wilgy vote today, saying he doesn't like that Wilgy popped in and then fucked off at will, and that TH might have soft-defended Wilgy. Overall, I don't like Tranq's D1 forced ignorance of the poll, and when pressed for suspects he instead offers people he won't vote for, which indicates to me he's scared to ruffle any feathers. Doc is an easy option, even if it is backed up by Doc's behavior and TH maybe defending him.

Doc: Fucked off all D1 until he was in danger, then he showed up and now he's fucked off again. He's demonstrated that he's able to play, and that he jumped into the thread at EOD when he was in danger of being lynched demonstrates to me that he's either paying attention himself or has people paying attention for him.

---

I'd rank the Rainbow 4 in order of baddieness as such:

Doc
Tranq
Luna
Enrique
I know its not "I have reason to believe" or "I kissed an old forest witch on the mouth" but anybody got anything to say RE: This?

Luna, Kyle, DDL, Quin, G-man.

One of them killed nutella.
What's your plan if we lynch one of these 5 and they're civ?

Let's say we lynch Luna today and she's good.
Day 3 we go "oh it's one out of these 4 now, those are even better odds", we lynch Kyle and he's good.
Day 4 we lynch DDL and he's good.
Day 5 we lynch Quin and he's good.
Day 6 we lynch G-Man and he's either bad (you got good info) or not (your info was incorrect, or you lied and made us waste 5 lynches)

We could waste up to 4 lynches if the info is right, 5 if it's wrong.
Nobody has suggested that we ignore the rest of the game and spam lynches into these 5. Sloonei's just giving us more cards to play with.

Feel like you're twisting this into an accusion, almost.

Yeah sort of.

I got the term from another site, and it specifically referred to "In a world where Kyle is scum, Colin is not teamed with him." People see it as setting up later lynches here. "Worlds" refer to possible future thread states, and seeing whether a world is viable is a good hunting technique. You could en up with something like "Quin seems scummy, but I don't see a world where three other people are aligned with him" or some such.

Sloonei remarks that this is an odd thing to fixate on first, and I agree,
This post actually changes my mind on G-Man more than Luna’s vouching does. Why does a scum G-Man go in the thread to taunt the town with a mechanical quirk benefitting his team? Because taunting is fun, I gues, but this looks more like worldbuilding than anything.
Colin, like I said, I'm extra dumb this afternoon. What do you mean by world building?
I believe Speed used the term in Hogwart but it’s basically when a civ comes in the thread to share an observation about the game that isn’t a read or a theory, for the sake of enhancing knowledge/getting the town on the same page. Speed also noted that people here are unusually hostile to it, and I agree with him because I get flak for it all the time.
Funny enough, that's not what worldbuilding is. It's not what I meant when I used it in Hogwarts.

There seem to be a number of proximity triggers, and I would ‘t be surprised if there are more in the *secrets*, and sharing a square grants people BTSC. Why do you ask?
DDL seems to be assuming that there is only one mafia in your 5. There could be two, technically.

That made me start wondering if mafia are more likely to be close together or far away. Made me wonder if we could use that.

On further reflection, there's probably a pro/con regardless of abilities. Mafia far away from each other cover more kill targets, but close together avoid more town role effects.

Quin has kinda been all over Sloonei this game for some reason, maybe buddying him, while repeatedly yelling for Sloonei and others to stop buddying him.

My quindar is struggling to pick up a solid read TBH. This is embarrassing.

On the other hand, it's a very valuable tool provided we can actually use abilities or claims to figure out who killed nutella later on. But right now... meh.
Is it easier to read over 5 people or 27?

I agree with you a little bit, but some narrowed direction in a bloated thread is nice.
What gives us a higher probability, at least 1 baddie among 5, or 6-8 baddies among 27?
Given that there are more baddies among the 27 influencing us, more lurkers among the 27 that are easy fall guys, and no way anyone in this game can form a solid opinion on all 27 players?

I don't freakin' know, man. Mafia is more than math, that's why we play the game instead of running algorithms.

Luna
Kyle

DDL
Quin
G-man

I'm interested in the Sprityo/Sabie thing, less interested in the DH train.

I'm going to ISO Quin and see if it's Genuquin. Maybe solve this conundrum for everyone with my Quindar.

She is the deity people pray to when they need inspiration to tinfoil.

Still waiting to see that tinfoiling in this game.

I think Sloon's info is helpful, but I think this isn't a very good way to use it. These are team kills, not individual kills. I'd rather look at the Sloonei Five and lynch based on merit instead of NK analysis, especially in a setup like this.

I got linki'd and apparently this has already been said. I'll shut up until I finish the thread.

This sentence bugs me. It's overly apologetic and... like, IDK why it's there. "I understand what happened." He got lynched is what happened. Of course you read through EOD, that's how you know what happened.

Can you elaborate on why this sentence is here?
It means I understand it all happened at the last minute and was a surprise and I was sorry that happened to him. I talked him into playing so I felt bad.
Okay, that's the context I needed. I didn't see a reason for you to feel guilty, and that's what it looked like.

I'm putting sprityo and G-Man down as not likely Corrupt Remnant for now.

Since when do the night posts reveal alignments?
Something I saw while skimming.

I'd clear neither of these. G-man worse than Sprit. TH left a vote on G-Man and did nothing with it as far as I know. Seems like easy distancing cred, and you're giving it to him.
speed are you saying the comment about sprityo is also distancing cred?
No, I don't think so. TH is the one possibly distancing. Tranq would be the one allowing it or falling for it or enabling it or whatever. NAI for Tranq IMO.

Decent guy. His play reminds me of his Mega Man mafia play, which I dearly wanted to lynch him over at the time. Some isolated things about the way he defends himself seem scummy, but just based on what I've read I'm pretty sure he's town. He does have an odd way of talking in third person, though.

I also agreed with his case on Juliets. I was already looking at her because of a post after the D1 lynch where she apologized like, really hard. Looked like scum guilt. I don't know whether she voted on his lynch or not, though. Light-to-mid scumread there.

Epi is town.

Nutella is town.

DDL... I'm leaning town.

Leaning town on Luna as well. I think I'm starting to get a handle on her playstyle. It's mostly a gut feel based on how snarky and up-front she's been about her play, in the few posts I've seen. Very transparent in playstyle, in her defense of Wolbre and everyone's reaction to that.

So there's a few. I want to read over some Colin stuff next, I think. If you have any suggestions for me to skim ISOs of today (tonight?) then I'm game.
Can I please have some of that salad.
