I do think it’s kinda suspect that so many people would dump shit like they have tbh. I dunno if this is tinfoil but I bet there’s a scum counting on reduced risk of nightkill or certain protections amidst the Dumpers.

I read this and struggle to see how you walk away with a townread. I agree with the 90% where you say he looks middling to sketchy, and disagree with the last portion where Kyle apparently is redeemed. I think that whole post Kyle made actually looks kinda fake — I disagree with his assessment of wolbre’s post and think he’s making a big deal out of things (saying “???”) that need not a deal made.

This has solidified my suspish on Kyle, so thanks!

Sloonei remarks that this is an odd thing to fixate on first, and I agree,
This post actually changes my mind on G-Man more than Luna’s vouching does. Why does a scum G-Man go in the thread to taunt the town with a mechanical quirk benefitting his team? Because taunting is fun, I gues, but this looks more like worldbuilding than anything.
Colin, like I said, I'm extra dumb this afternoon. What do you mean by world building?
I believe Speed used the term in Hogwart but it’s basically when a civ comes in the thread to share an observation about the game that isn’t a read or a theory, for the sake of enhancing knowledge/getting the town on the same page. Speed also noted that people here are unusually hostile to it, and I agree with him because I get flak for it all the time.

A hunch, i want to pursue later.
So as of right now I am the only person spirityo has accused the entire game. I don't even see a vote from them in the first lynch poll. They haven't even really shared any thoughts on anyone yet. I'm all for speculating about gameplay and roles and everything because I also do that but usually by this point in the game some of the speculation is regarding players and reads on players. Just find that interesting.

I am still not convinced wilgy isnt bad. Unless he just really doesn't care about this game at all he didn't even put up any defense about being accused or voted for. And he still really hasn't been around. It also now seems like maybe TH was defending him.

I was just speculating if TH was the trickster could he have killed nutella and someone killed him. I dont know if that really impacts anything but it would be an interesting turn of events if it did happen that way.

Can someone condense the argument on g man so I can get a better idea of where that is coming from? I didnt really get much from trying to read him before.

I know I haven't posted much there is a lot to follow and I get busy with work and things. I've been keeping up best I can though at least with reading everything.
This post gives me the heeby-jeebies. A no u against sprit, redirecting traffic away to what some may call a cop-out vote in Wilgy, and this perfect “open to lynching G-Man but also open to not doing that” twist at the end ... maybe I’m a crackpot but it feels like we can learn a lot from this if G-Man is lynched and turns out bad.

This was the main ping. Up to this point he had asked a mechanics question and said he voted for the N0 poll randomly. His first engagement with the actual game was to say he liked Epi's post on DDL, with no elaboration or follow up. Since I was going to be out of pocket all day, I figured I would rather have my vote out there and doing something than locked up tight and useless, so I voted. I didn't want to say my reason, because it gives him an easy out if he's mafia to make the suspicion go away. I wanted to see a response not based on my suspicion, and sure enough I got it. Not giving a reason also sort of forces people who jump on the wagon to supply their own reasoning, rather than just saying "yep I agree." D1 I think that's particularly valuable.

Literally your first and only engagement with reading players was "I like Epi's post" and you didn't follow up or extend the reasoning or vote or anything. So, yeah.
Well, I did vote for DDL, so wrong on that count. And I don’t know what explanation is necessary: I liked it because it made sense and I agreed with it, which should have been self-evident by me saying I liked it. Or would it look better of me if I quoted a bunch of posts, summarized them, did some color analysis, crunched the numbers on the last 6 DDL games played when Mercury is in retrograde, and came to the same conclusion?

Because I’m not doing that.

Did you have an actual question about this or you just trying to throw shade?
It looks like an attempt at earning credit post-lynch. But then again, there are 2 teams, so nvm.

Sloonei wrote: Mon Dec 10, 2018 12:05 am It reminds me of that time when MP and I were literally the only two people in the thread in Search for Quin and he insisted that I must be scum because I was the only person in the game actively pushing any theories. Because I was the only other person bothering to do anything at all. I got lynched because nobody else was playing.

That's essentially what Mac is suggesting right now. It's obnoxious and idiotic and if I get lynched I'm gonna be annoyed and sign up for Colin's heist.
I like how playing my game is a punishment on the rest of us (if you are town here).

I would contend that scum are more likely to let real life be overruled by Mafia, but maybe that’s not the case in your personal experience. (It is in mine.)

ColinIsCool wrote: Sat Dec 08, 2018 9:58 am I didn’t say what I voted for but it was the Become More, sorry.

I like Epi’s post re: DDL’s role speculation.
Is it scummy ... to say that I like a post?

timmer wrote: Sun Dec 09, 2018 2:56 am Just reread it. You say you have a case but then the next sentences are all qualifiers and concerns about side angles which serve to weaken it. You spend more time on the side stuff that concern you about it than your actual suspicion. I don't know how else to explain your post to you, lol. I'm heading to bed, g'night. Hopefully you will see things clearly soon.
I said I have a suspicion, but that I also have reservations about the way Colin is being treated in the thread. If it’s messy, it’s because my thought process is unsettled. Because it’s Day 1. You’ve lamented yourself how difficult Day 1 often is. I wasn’t distracted from my suspicion on Colin.I was simply discussing it within the context of the game. I then laid out my case in another post shortly after, but you’re not looking at that because it’s not included in Epi’s (intentionally) bullshit case.
These colors don’t mean anything, they’re just for fun.

My read on Sloonei has progressed to more uncertain waters in the wake of this Epi case. Almost as if Sloonei is belaboring what he knows to be a bad lynch (even if I’m not on his supposed Mafia team, I presume he thinks I’m not on the other one either) so that he doesn’t look bandwagony.
