Sweet! It is the best sport after all. And thanks for the mention, I needed to see the adorable cat gifs in this thread.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 5:47 pm@speedchuck @Lunalee, with Owner we're only three short of a full starting squad.

Re: colonialbob - Interrogation Room
I have not heard of most of the games you mentioned, but I will keep them in mind next time we go on a game buying spree.colonialbob wrote: ↑Thu Mar 29, 2018 10:11 pmOf the ones I own, I really like Scythe, Roll for the Galaxy, Bohnanza, and Innovation. One of my friends has Star Trek: Ascendancy, and despite not caring much about Trek I love the game. I also like legacy games: I have a group that's playing through Charterstone, and I loved Pandemic Legacy. I also have several games I own that want to play more, and hopefully I'll get a chance soon!
I also saw your regret was joining Tau Beta Pi... I agree! I also joined for my resume, and also felt like I got zero out of it.
Glad I'm not the only one who felt duped by Tau Beta Pi. I tried to "drop out" but I don't think anyone got the memo. I still the The Bent in the mail every quarter, lol

Re: Lunalee - Interrogation Room
I regret joining Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honors Society. I was encouraged to join because it would look good on my resume, so I did, but I got zero benefit out of it. It was purely a status thing. I spent time volunteering to stay in, and went to group meetings for about four semesters, and finally quit my last semester, because I felt it was a waste of time. As far as regrets go, this is pretty minor. I just don't regret much of what I've done. :P
I would like to have kids one day! I think 3 or 4 is a good number.Do you want to have kids in the future? How many?
Favorite? I'm supposed to enjoy house chores? lol, maybe sweeping outside if it's a nice day. What's your favorite and least favorite house chore?
Least Favorite: Cleaning up the kitchen. I will gladly put away laundry and clean the floors while procrastinating cleaning up dirty dishes.

Re: Lunalee - Interrogation Room
This may sound cliche, but my parents are an inspiration to me. They've accomplished so much in their lives, and I would love to be where they're at one day.

I am somewhat fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), but it's been a while since I've used it, so I'm reluctant to say that it's a "talent".beyond playing ultimate Frisbee, do you have any special talents we don't know about?
I have quite a few favorite foods (not picky at all), but I'll go with coconut milk ice cream. It just tastes so pure and good.what's your favorite food?
I really enjoy coffee, but I do drink tea occasionally too.are you a coffee or tea drinker?
Mushrooms, sausage, and black olives.what are your favorite pizza toppings?

I'm a pretty small person (about 5 feet, 2 inches in height, and barely over 100 pounds), so I think I would like to have unlimited strength and endurance, just to freak people out.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Fri Mar 23, 2018 12:00 pm Lunalee, if you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I'm a Gemini (honestly just had to go look that up

Okay, this is a difficult one for me. I like anything that "sounds good," which is subjective, I know. This includes some Bluegrass, Celtic/Irish folk tunes, Classical, Rock, Indie/Alternative Rock, Progressive Rock, Pop, and Country. Sorry for such a broad answer, but I'm pretty open minded when it comes to music.what kind of music are you into?
No, not really. However I do enjoy watching anime series (thanks to speedchuck's influence).are you a TV series junkie? fav shows?

Re: Lunalee - Interrogation Room
I started playing about two years ago after connecting with an Ultimate Frisbee group at a student organization fair on my college campus. I then discovered the Huntsville Ultimate Club through the people I met, which has its own competitive teams, and organizes open sign-up leagues. Wish you could come play with us, JJJ!JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:53 pm I would play every day if I could only find the time and the people. It is my favorite hobby period, with its only sports peer being table tennis. The flick is also my preferred toss, with a forehand grip and a a low release. It's where I get the most power and deep accuracy. Sometimes I rely on it too much though and lose the standard backhand toss.![]()
Uh. Yeah I'm obsessed. Somehow though despite living on a college campus, finding people to play with is harder than ever. When/where did you get started with the world's greatest sport?
And dunya , it's quite an organized sport with rules and lingo, but the cool thing about it is that everyone takes on referee responsibility during games, like pausing the game if some one is injured, and calling in or out of bounds.

Re: Lunalee - Interrogation Room
I assume you're a fellow Ultimate player? I actually prefer to throw flicks, which seems backwards from most people I know. I'm definitely much better at getting open and catching than making good passes. Hoping to improve on that more this season.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:15 pmIt's the greatest outdoor game there is. What's your preferred way to throw? Do you fancy yourself better suited to passing the disc or getting open/catching it?

Re: Lunalee - Interrogation Room
I love my cats, but I don't know if I would classify myself as strictly a "cat person," I've freaked out plenty over cute, friendly dogs.
I enjoy playing Ultimate Frisbee, and just signed up for a local women's league starting this Sunday!do you play any sports?
I traveled a lot when I was younger with my family. We lived in the Marshall Islands for a few years, and visited Hawaii quite a bit during that time.have you traveled much to other states or countries? where would you like to go to now if time and money were not an obstacle?
If money was not an obstacle, I would go so many places. I would especially love to visit Japan, New Zealand, and Australia.

Re: Lunalee - Interrogation Room
Worst trait: I can be indecisive to a fault.
Best trait: I always think the best of people, and sometimes legitimately don't notice if I'm being slighted (part of the social awkwardness, maybe?).
I have taken the myers briggs test multiple times, and always forget what I am. So as of today, I am a ISFP-A (Introverted, Observant, Feeling, Prospecting, Assertive), using this test here (which is very nicely laid out!): https://www.16personalities.com/isfp-personality

Yes! I'm from Huntsville Alabama, and went to college at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). That's so cool you were raised here too!
My family does live nearby, which is nice.

I have one older sister.
We worship at Jordan Park Church of Christ.
We do work at the same place!

I mean, that is quite an accomplishment.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 2:54 pm Has speedchuck ever boasted about winning three socky awards in a live, in-person conversation?

Dark chocolate.
My avatar is an artistic depiction of Luna Lovegood, from the Harry Potter series. I absolutely love her character, and in some ways empathize with her awkward social skills.

Re: Lunalee - Interrogation Room
Oh hey, it's my turn! Thanks dunya!
Hm, probably his inability to get out of bed in the morning.
We met at church actually! I was 16 and my family moved to a new church, and speedchuck was 17, and had just moved to the area to go to college. We did not start dating until 2 years later.
I work as a systems engineer.
My initial motivation for signing up with this forum was to play speedchuck's burglary game (based off A Hat in Time). He was super excited about running it and needed a few more players. Since then I've decided online mafia is pretty fun, so I may stick with it for a while.
