Maybe Fayt could be scum and the self-vote strategy is a ploy to appear cooperative with town and doing things for the good of the town. Scum do a lot of I'm okay with my lynch if it helps town or yada yada yada.
Hmm, I don't know what to think anymore.

I don't think it's Jay or Fayt so I'm not voting there anymore. Leaves me with Dom, LC, and Michelle. I don't see an LC or Michelle wagon picking up, thus Dom. I do suspect him btw.

Wow, that entire Nutella and Jay interaction was juicy as hell. Good points coming from both sides. Yeesh.
I've come to notice something. Jay is always getting flack and lots of heat in every game he plays in regardless of alignment. Why? I've also noticed that the flack and heat is at its peak at a moment in the game where a mistake could fuck us in the ass. It's always the climax of the game too.
Makes me wanna policy lynch Jay every game so we don't always come into this situation.

Re: Dogs vs. Cats [Day 3]
Fantastic post. Jay is town.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2019 7:04 pm Additional concerns with Fayt
One longstanding trend I have observed in these games is that when I fall under heavy suspicion for whatever reason, the mafia team is much more likely to defend me. It is the most basic example of TMI, and it's easy to understand why they do this. Given the extreme effort that I am almost guaranteed to give in any game, my mislynch is by default a considerable civilian loss. This isn't some boastful shit about me being good or whatever, so please block that irritation from your mind if it's there and consider what I am saying. Even if I am total garbage, I still give a huge effort -- that's important.
If I get lynched wrongly, the people who were responsible for that are going to have a lot to answer for. Any mafia team knows that shit. It's obvious. So they often stay the hell away from it. Let me show you just a few examples that come to mind immediately from previous games:
Easter Mafia
Spoiler: show
In this game, both ColinIsCool and Scotty were mafia. I was a civilian and drawing heavy suspicion. They white knighted me. There are numerous more examples of this in that game; I only shared a subset.
Fire Emblem
Spoiler: show
Quin and nutella were both mafia. Defended me, softly or overtly.
Persona 5
Spoiler: show
TSP and Epignosis were mafia. They stood in my corner.
~~~
Now I want to clarify something before I proceed so that there cannot be any bullshit misconstruals of my point. This does not imply that the players I have cited here called me a civilian in every single post. What is most important though is that when push came to shove and I was taking a bunch of heat -- they stood in my corner. This happens a lot.
So why do I care? Let's move foward to:
~~~
Dogs vs. Cats
Spoiler: show
speedchuck made a mission this game of defending me when the pressure was on me. In a few cases he would qualify that with generic waffles so that he could get away with whatever eventuality (and probably to make me look worse if he dies), but the overarching theme here is pro-JJJ.
Let's consider Fayt:
Spoiler: show
It could actually be said that nobody in this game has defended me more confidently than Fayt has.
And I opened Day 2 with my vote on them immediately! There's reasonable objectivity, and there's just too much information. It follows the trend I have painstakingly displayed in this post. Defending me in isolation needn't be a condemnation either, but consider the conditions under which I am being defended and by whom. I just don't believe that Fayt actually "trusts" me.

I was sleeping at Eod and now i woke up accidentaly (the open window made me feel the autumn's cold). When i saw in the morning the flip i was very upset because the mislynch was atrocious.
I need to say 'grats to the vig who hit my favourite breed of cats (it's beautiful you have to admit).
Judging from the votes is hard for me to accept that the lynching wagon of yesterday was an action pure civilian so i will consider in my Poe the voters from that wagon and try to figure who's the bad guy there.
Reading Dragomir posts and his unique tunnels i strongly doubt he is mafia in this game.
Mafia needs a larger Poe to have possible milsynches and Drago has a small Poe.
Long Con, if cat, again it gives me pause by lack of agenda. I mean i suspected him but now i feel like a Jackass (https://images.app.goo.gl/puTid5DhyCXuzHrz8)
See you in the morning.

Re: Dogs vs. Cats [Day 2]
So I've iso'ed Speed and most of his posts were about Jay. I'm trying to make of what their interaction is and it's kinda hard. Though, I'll say this. That conversation about speed calling Jay's "tell me more" post "ew" feels like a bunch of horseshit to me. Got all kinds of fakey fakey shit in it.
JJJ is lower on my townlist, and only not at the bottom because I've never actually seen this kind of angleshooting not be true. It's a scummy practice, town or mafia, but it usually works and is reliable.
It's not about emotional manipulation, as I mentioned in Phenon: Origins. It's a different kind of pragmatic and cold, one that you'd apparently stake honor on.
I welcome examples or corrections. I feel JJJ as scum, but as Mac called Epi earlier, I'm a sucker for character calls.
[/quote]
There's also this post, speed is wishy washy as hell on how to read Jay. He's hesitating on town reading him but also scum reading him, thus he's at the bottom of the town list. Bad look for Jay imo.
There's something else I got. Speed interacted with Jay A LOT. 90% of his posts were about him. There was barely any of that much content with him and Rej and they were buddies. Make of this what you will. I don't know how speed usually interacts with his buddies.

I know I can't condemn it, as I got caught up in it and the Mac/JJJ go has changed my perception a great deal, but I thought I'd put that out there.

It's hard to explain my Epi read. It mainly came from the lack of any interaction given Rej and Epi had. No real thoughts on each other or mention. Only thing is Epi saying that he'll have to check Rej again to get a better read. I mainly feel that there is a scum on Rej's wagon who distanced, and there's a scum outside the wagon.

Re: Dogs vs. Cats [Day 2]
Now here is why I find LC to be bad. First is this post right here. http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 38#p555038. This right here is a clear cut soft defense that LC tried to create. He tries using the opinion of Michelle to support Rej when Jay voted for him. I find such an attempt very weak based on the fact that Michelle's town read on Rej shouldn't matter to how he reads or Jay reads Rej. Since when do players just town read someone cause somebody else did? It's not like Michelle had info on Rej. It's an incredible wink link and really has no purpose behind it besides supporting/saving Rej. He tried and failed. Because he failed, he moves on to vote for Rej. I find this to be a distancing attempt. Rej is most likely to be lynched so drop the vote and look better for it. The vote is out of nowhere when LC had made no mention of any remote suspicion of Rej. Nothing at all. Hell, it's more likely that he town read Rej based on the post I linked here.
Now moving on to Rej's posts. http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 99#p554999. Here, he brings up LC for the first time. There's a rushed tone to it. Like Rej just realized that he should mention his buddy in a bad light of sorts and try to create some distancing. It's what he did, whether or not it was distancing or just fake reads is up to you. Next, he votes for LC. Rej didn't want to save himself, he could have done that a long time ago by hopping on my wagon. No, he took the prime opportunity to distance. That's really all I can see from his vote on LC. Just how I feel about it.
