What do you mean by "distancing" here?
there was a big time span between his last two posts, it could be possible that he gave fuel to the Drago wagon, he also keeps his vote on him and has yet to revisit the cases with new information. this is what you are supposed to do when you place votes and plan to change them.
could be that LC is busy, I also don't know his meta, could be that it's a scumtell, they way he voted and then didn't come back to anything, and he doesn't make it in time to justify probably. the Long Con lynch would be a gamble, but a gamble with justification. you understand me? xd what do you think?

I have my vote nowhere for exactly such a moment. We can agree on doing the Long Con gamble lynch. Else my lynch would be wasted on others I feel, in a sense that we can't get enough votes maybe.
So my vote on Long Con should be bringing us forward.
[VOTE: Long Con] aubergine

Gonna take a smoke, gonna check all 5 minute instances.

This vote came a moment before I placed a late vote on Dragomir -- I was trying to bait Rej with my own vote, but as it happens he was "baited" to the Long Con wagon first. I don't see many worlds here where Long Con is not a civilian.

> Two wagons: Rej and Dragomir
> A third wagon slowly emerges: Long Con

Whatever Dragomir's alignment, I highly doubt Rej specifically waits for this opportunity to vote for his own teammate.

Long Con encourages the Rej wagon right along while he keeps himself cozy on the Dragomir wagon. The thing about "subconscious baddie-speak" just looks like b/s.
Where did I encourage the Rej wagon?
Rej said the gamble thing which you just pooped on.
Oh, that was Rej? I was kind of skimming.

Long Con's skimming error here was probably real. As such, he wasn't paying close attention to the things that Rej specifically was saying. That's nice for him.

~~~
Conclusion: I doubt Long Con is teamed with Rej.
I think it's clear that Rej wanted to take me down with him by how he read me. He voted LC up knowing that he'd get lynched anyway to distance from his buddy. It's crystal clear that Rej didn't really want to save himself so he votes LC to make his buddy appear more town.
LC = bad for me. It's only one post. A bit too early to tell if this is the direction that LC is going for the day with. Because of those 2 things, I'm not married to this read, but this is how I feel right now.
My post was an entirely facetious post, following JJJ's demanding line of questioning. Dragomir sees it as an "attack" on him, the "target".
I don't care for this either. Dragomir interpreted a facetious post as not being facetious. Long Con jumps right onto the wagon on that basis. There's not enough deliberation or communication here for my liking. It's just immediate judgment and essentially nothing thereafter.
Yes, this is that extra reason that wasn't info I was talking about. Jay hit it right on the money. Shit. Too many mindmelds with this man to think of him as scum.
I don't know how to articulate it my thought on him.
Alright, seriously. Let's sit down and have a heart-to-heart right now. Posts like this cannot continue to happen if you're a civilian -- they are going to continue to get you into trouble and eventually it will get you lynched.
If you genuinely don't know how to articulate it, that's okay. You're human. However, you need to try to do it anyway. There must be something about Rej, whether in his tone, or a specific thing in a post he made, or in his voting behavior -- something that gives you the confidence to vote for someone other than him. His lynch is your best chance at survival, and you're not going that direction. That's important, and it will really help the field to interpret your play if you can try to explain what's in your head.
That's the second time you've made this defense-- "Oh, I don't think I looked scummy!" That's a very easy thing to say from a scum perspective as a defense. Not convincing.
These posts suck, nutella. The pile of question marks comes in response to an ordinary post, and the second post adds nothing but a further dampening of the atmosphere for Dragomir. "It's very easy to say from a scum perspective" means less when it can just as easily be said from a civilian perspective -- indeed it is not remotely rare for civilians to tell people that the suspicions against them are not actually suspicious. Everything is obviously in the eye of the beholder, but logic means fuck all. The real concern is sincerity. I don't get the impression you're looking for the latter.
TMI my ass. I had pinged 2 players as hard towns on perfectly logical reasons. You guys might do some bad things but one must have to ignore a great deal of things that proves you being town to say that you're scum and I find that asinine.
The salad means nothing. That shit is only bad if the player just suggest a bunch of ppl but then does nothing to push on them later on or has done nothing to push on them in past. The player is being passive and sheepish. That makes a salad really bad imo. If a player has been pushing for their salad players all game or at least tried to make cases on them, a salad is not scummy.
Why is this a bad thing and why should my reads have changed? Literally all the players in my scum reads have done absolutely nothing to convince to me that they're town. Not a single post of theirs is even town to me so why in bloody name's should my read change? The only that made me change my read on DDL was a cop invest. Like hell, how they interacted with Ultra hardly helps their(my scum reads) case if it does at all. I even ended up with a stronger scum read on Owner and DDL based off how Ultra's flip.
These reasonings against me are ludicrous.
Dragomir wrote: Mon May 13, 2019 9:59 pm Don't think I'll ever say my town reads again. I just got pocketed by the entire mafia squad.
I acknowledge the contextual difference: different game, different time in the game. Whatever. I don't think those are super meaningful differences and so I proceed.
Dragomir took flak throughout this game, but he survived all of it. The criticism continued to mount through the finish, and when it reached its worst levels he responded with posts like those in the spoiler. Note the language: "the reasonings against me are ludicrous" / "I'm not as suspicious as you guys actually believe" -- these closely parallel what we've seen in this game. Dragomir seems to have a tendency to dismiss suspicion against him in this sort of obstinate, off-hand fashion. It doesn't have to be motivated by his role card if it's motivated by who he is.
Then consider the last post in the spoiler. Dragomir placed errant trust in much of the mafia team, and indeed in that game the attacks he received (in the specific posts I provided) were from members of the mafia (Mac and I). This sort of portends the reflections of suspicion he has displayed here.
I think this works in his favor.
Maybe “lacking” is the wrong word. “Disingenuous” is better. His suspicion of me wasn’t “well-founded”, but that means nothing to me compared to “was it genuine?”
He has fielded suspicion from a ton of people in this game and he hasn’t suspected them all. What I feel @Dragomir has struggled to do is to explain in clear terms what the differences are — something you understandably don’t care for Dom. I am tasking myself with digging into the following distinction:
Dragomir has failed to explain all of his reads effectively because they are not real.
Dragomir has failed to explain all of his reads effectively because he doesn’t entirely know how.
Reminder to self to look at the Scrimmage game where Dragomir was a civilian and faced constant misguided pressure.
That said, the officiating sucked in favor of GBP. Two face mask penalties on Flowers? Guy has never had one and shouldn't have had either tonight.
In that game, the dogs lost. Let it not be so here.
Detriot should have 100% won that game. I'm more infuriated by the Browns and Seahawks game though. Browns had every chance to win the game but they blew it.
Because I believe that I am. It should help us find a baddie. I have provided a solution. Move on from it and focus on those that tried coming after me. But you guys refuse to do that so what the hell am I supposed to do? That tizzy I created provided a lot of discussions that could be used for reads which is how my scum reads on LC and Jay came to fruition.
It’s about me so I grant the potential for biases etc. A Dragomir voter and/or accuser should talk about this.
It's not only the lack of expanding but more so your whole entrance. You start with that strong vouch, then when prodded turns to light jokes and icebreakers using the theme and host to pull you through the thread. It's a big mess, and it feels like you weren't sure how to enter the thread and went on with a mix of down to business following the marks of the early gth reads and trying to be 'fun'. It's not natural.
Also why the need to comment "nothing scummy about that"?
I was very sure about how I wanted to enter the thread. The mess was on purpose. I strongly disagree. It's perfectly natural.
If it was on purpose, how was it natural?
Because it was not forced.
So for the dragomir thing, I might be late on this because I haven't had a chance to reply until now. There are things I'm unsure of and this is off of first impressions but I do lean scum on him. As reasons stated above but also because of Dragomir not wanting to do first impressions but then jump onto another target (i.e. LC) so he must think of something about LC that strikes him as odd or did he just drop the LC name to get people off of his back.
Secondly, I don't think Dragomir and JJJ are bussing each other. If they are then I'm definitely fooled. If Dragomir turns out to be scum, I find Jay as town and vice versa. However, there is a chance they could both be town but I don't think both would be scum.
JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Mon Oct 14, 2019 7:08 pm It’s POE, Dragomir. I got nothing for the orange people, and so they are suspects. Null is illegal.
I have an actual reason to suspect you, even if you find it asinine, and that means you get your own cozy place in the red tier. I am frankly just as baffled that you cannot believe the suspicion you’ve faced as you claim to be about that suspicion. You’re pretty much asking everyone else to read your mind if you’re a civilian. :goofp:
You were asked numerous times to expand on your takes, and you elected to decline. Loudly. I am tasked with interpreting that behavior, behavior which does not recall what I saw in Persona 5.
I am still considering what to do with you. I will be as long as we’re both alive in the Mafia game. That has no bearing on a rainbow list. I’ll mull it over while I eat my puppy chow tonight.
What was wrong with declining them? I was playing around and the way I was posting I believed showed that well. So you want to use meta against me now? How have I played that has been different from the persona 5 one? I'm still hunting and I'm hunting in the same way? If you mean about the playing around thing then I can't really consider that a valid reason.
Now, one last thing. Haven't I played differently in every game in this forum? Would you say that the play in Persona 5 was the same as the one in the Scrimmage? I'd say no. The outward appearance is definitely not the same. Like my outward appearance for every game has changed. I'm a lot more foolish here, persona 5 I was much calmer and in the scrimmage, I was very aggressive and tried to throw my reads out at everyone. That's as far as the differences go though as the basis and structure of my overall gameplay are the same. You get me?
Re: Dogs vs. Cats [Day 1]
So here is why Jay is bad. First, these quick and fast reads he's throwing with cat and dog reads feel like an attempt to generate early town cred by coming in hot and strong with all that. The downside with this is that there's no expansion afterward from all that. There's a little reason given to the good Nutella read by I'm not really focused on that one. What I am focused on are the scum reads. They're thrown in there and that's about it. The Mac wolf read came and gone just like that, making it feel like there wasn't any actual thought process into it in the first place and the Turnip vote doesn't even look real. It just got placed in there.
Now my second reason against Jay is with how he's tackling me. He puts me rock bottom in his rainbow with a bright red like I'm strong read but my conversation with him didn't reflect that for me. It feels like he's still trying to decide on how to read me. That doesn't match up with my rainbow placement. The entire feel that I'm getting about him is that he's not wanting to drive. He wants to sit in the back and let someone else drive while he takes a few jabs here and there. Does that make sense?
