If they choose roles their team would be built through randomized like teams normally are, but then they could pick among a set of roles for themselves.
If the choose Players they get to draft from the player list their pack but their roles would be assigned randomly.

This is why some people are making posts like "if the wolf captain picked players I can't be a wolf"

bruh it's the setup. Either mafia captain picked their pack or mafia captain picked their packs roles, but they cannot pick both.

if roles were picked pack is randomized from the player list. if pack is picked roles are randomized.

Also, I don't just immediately change my reads. I don't really understand why everyone expects people to have immediately perfect reads. Reads are a process, and I personally read people best by throwing shit around in the thread for a while and seeing what sticks. Part of that shit throwing is voicing reads that either I don't fully believe in or that I believe in in a much weaker way than I let the thread feel I believe in them, because confident reads get people to do more AI things than weak reads. If you're town and you TRULY suspect me, then make a case on me. If I feel like your case is coming from town, I'll let you know. Possibly after calling you wolf like 4 times while you make the case to see how you react to it.

to me: i read the post first of all paying attention to its form more-so than the contents, and it really seemed like alison was trying /hard/ to follow a process and more than that appear to be following a process. maybe i am being anti-intellectual here and there is towny merit in casing people like that, but i honestly get the feeling she's trying too hard to slam dunk creature through a rigid adherence to cause-and-effect writing.

I think it's way too early to write such a monster of a post--if you have so much to write against him/his slot right now, it's probably coming from a place of wolfy over-eagerness to project town or otherwise control the game.
