Thinkin my vote goes here right now. By and large I agree with my fellow IC TSP. Actually, hold on, let me check a couple things really quick.

I hate that neither Tony or Ran are here for EoD.

So, basically, right now, I'm trying to maximize my chance of hitting mafia, and I feel like the way I want to do that is by picking out three people who I think are never mafia with each other. I want to pick three people because we have a D1 yeet, a D2 yeet, and a Vig shot.

So, like I really don't think Ran and MP are scum together. Is there a third person who we can say that are not scum with those two?

So, like, I definitely think it is possible that Ran actually did set up bait (the thing about Mist) to see if MP would question her about it. However, I also think it's in the realm of possibility that Ran made the post about seeing one major thing that could be scummy from Mist, forgot then remembered making it later on, then saw that it could be used to make a solid push against MP.

It's similar in concept to something I did in a game on ToS recently where I was scum and had to CC a cop. Earlier in the game, I had jokingly started saying I was Vig and was going to shoot people (one person D1, and did it again to another person D2), but when someone claimed cop who I had planned on yeeting for the win, I realized I could use those "I'm going to shoot you" posts as softing who I was going to check during the night even though they were, in fact, made jokingly without any intent to be used later on for my fake claim.

It's tinfoil though.

Yeah, I usually try to get to action as quickly as I can, but a couple of factors in game are stopping me from doing so at the moment. The two main ones are 1. I haven't had a chance to interact with everyone yet, which means I don't have a complete picture of the game yet, and 2. the small size of this game, which is making me feel like I have to be more accurate with my reads early on since we could be in LYLO as soon as tomorrow.

For #1, I feel like the only people I really have thorough interactions with is Hally (who I've had the most interaction with), Cayvie (who I haven't directly interacted with yet), and Mist (who I don't need as much interaction with since I've got a lot of experience with her). Outside my interactions, the only heavy interacting between two people that I know that's happening without rereading the thread is between you and Hally. What I'd like to see is more interactions between people I haven't seen interact yet. Of the people I named above, I'd really like to see you and Mist interact right now, because I don't know how you two as a pair fit into this whole game just yet.

Even if those interactions did occur though, that still leaves Tony, Scirrus, and Sabie, who I've got pretty much nothing on? I actually feel a sense of relief reading this. I'm often put in boxes as both alignments, so knowing that you don't do the boxing thing makes me happy. Unfortunately, I am a PoE kind of player, even if I do end changing my PoE day by day (sometimes multiple times later in the game!). I definitely relate to feeling more stressed playing as town than as scum. I don't have to worry about being correct as scum.
Hyena, what do you mean by often put in boxes?

Boxing, as in PoE'ing out the scum team. Usually, I end up in the PoE as either alignment mid to late game.

Oh! I remember seeing the "Hyena is self-resolving" comment and scratching me head at it. Like, considering how much suspicion was being thrown my way, I would've thought I'd be the least self-resolving person right now.

Oh. In that case, I still question it though. A lot of people in this game are playing with me for the first time. I don't know why they would think I'm self-resolving. In fact, the only people who I think would see me as self-resolving in this game is you and Mist. Maybe also Tony at best. I don't feel like Cayvie, Ran, Sabie, or Hally have any reason to see me as self-resolving since they don't have much experience with me.

I think MP is just a genuine nice person and not trying to pocket anyone or anything.

I feel like sometimes in the past my kindness or trying to get along with people has been seen as passiveness or pocketing or interpreted to mean something when in reality I'm just trying to be nice and enjoy the game.

I agree that the interjection itself was kinda awkward, but as I mentioned earlier, the thought behind it (Hally and I both being w/w and bussing/distancing from each other) was something that I imagined someone could have by looking at our interactions. I didn't see her reaction to TSP scumreading her though.

I think MP is just a genuine nice person and not trying to pocket anyone or anything.

I feel like sometimes in the past my kindness or trying to get along with people has been seen as passiveness or pocketing or interpreted to mean something when in reality I'm just trying to be nice and enjoy the game.

Just to make sure I'm understanding this correct, you're saying that MP being so nice is, indeed, not alignment indicative, right? o:

If the Vig is shooting tonight, you might want to claim before EoD today so that the claim is out there if you do die N1. Yes, I know I'm now outing myself as not-Vig by saying this, but I'd rather out this suggestion if people weren't sure what they wanted to do if they were Vig. As for the timing to claim, I'd try to do it as close to EoD as possible so that you can glean as much info from people without them knowing your alignment because people will start reacting to you differently once you claim.

I forgot! But yeah, in this case, the Vig should only claim D1 if they are close to being misyeeted. Otherwise, ALWAYS do it during N1 if you're shooting.
