Kami made the "nanook v" post in #129. Prior to #129 it was already explained why you should never give hypo peeks at SOD.

Therefore there is no reason for town Kami to say nanook v in 129.

I don't see a reason for town!Kami to give a hypo pregame when multiple people have explained why that's wrong so the simplest explanation to me is that you found yourself unable to justify your TMI on nook and tried to pass it off as a hypo instead.

Wolves tunnel town all the time because it gives them an excuse not to talk about other players and to handwave away having to give serious thoughts on the rest of the gamestate. You know this because we have discussed this exact thing in PMs and ways to hold wolves accountable when they try to tunnel which means you are aware that it is a common strategy for wolves to use.

It's optimal for every town to fake a check, something like "If I am the town cop, I peeked X green". So if you end up dying, town will know who was peeked and what.

I dunno what's the difference. It's supposed to be "If I am town cop, I peeked X green/town". If everyone is convincing enough, it will be hard for wolves to cop hunt.

I have played a lot of cop setups, nine out of ten times it's not convincing at all and it makes it extremely obvious to the wolves who isn't a cop.

No you don't. Claiming hypos gives information to the wolves about who the seer is in exchange for us knowing their peek if they get NKed. It does not help hide the seer ever.

Nobody should claim a hypothetical peek at all this game. That is so dumb. You are just helping the wolves figure out who the seer is.
