Spoiler: show
am prepared to eviscerate wolves if i'm still alive
Return to “Amdibals at the Zoo! [END]”
honestly i don't think I've ever seen this tell actually be correct
yeah this is correctAlison wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 2:31 am for the record the reason is that the plinko board read is that someone's thought process is the opposite of random and nonsensical - it's a little too planned/biased towards trying to push a specific narrative rather than just a natural progression
on the other hand I think it should just be called "artificial progression" or something instead of a weird reference to plinko boards
this is actually an egregious misapplication of the plinko board readMacDougall wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 1:52 amOk. We'll initially I said he had teammate equity. Much later I said he was naked mafia. I found Urist's content generally random and nonsensical. I believe it's called the plinko board read.Alison wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 1:49 am Also I checked your ISO and you've had a consistent scumread on Urist but you've only ever explained it as having a partner like interaction with 112 (and a one liner about busywork). So pretty natural for me to remember it as you scumreading Urist for being W/W with 112.
alison is a lylo world for me, never beforeMacDougall wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:34 pm The outlying hard world that I hate the idea of is Alison being mafia too. In which case rip.
don't think he busses 112 there tbh
nah you're fine lol i wasn't fishing for a more indepth response or anythingNANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:37 pm
Sorry I’m multitasking
Uh idk what to say, like...it’s a reasonably accurate description that I don’t take offense to and may steal to explain my D1 play in the future
this is the mafia equivalent of sending a three paragraph text and receiving back "k"
yeah, i can get behind thisMacDougall wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:30 pm Also I think if Tutuu was mafia and putting up this much wim, again it doesn't quite sit right with the production from 112. I think 112 would play well regardless of external factors if she had a fun team.
It feels very much like the town just dominated day 1 to me.
eh it's maybe a little unfair. let me rephraseNANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:25 pmI don't think that's fair tbh, I do normally play just not the way you want me to /shrugAmy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:19 pmnanook is always going to be a hard read for me because he plays the early portions of every game basically the same way, which is to say that he doesn't
i think urist is always the wolfiest player in the game atm and i think that, pending 112 metadive, mac's spew read is a pretty bad look for 10k, which would leave nanook the villager out of the 3
it's not at all clearing, though, and i wouldn't be particularly surprised at any combination of 2 wolves and a villager in that pool
i think if nanook is wolf he's absolutely trying to pocket v!tutuuMacDougall wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:18 pmI would make the same post sub Urist out and put Tutuu in. Which is weird.
Tutuu also voted Alison. Tutuu has been very town at times but also has pinged me a fair bit.
nanook is always going to be a hard read for me because he plays the early portions of every game basically the same way, which is to say that he doesn't
honestly yeah that was the planMacDougall wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:14 pmRead the wc from champs last year. It'd be the best 112 mafia meta available imo.
i mean, do you wanna be the one that has to try to take it away from her?
i need to rebuild some standard decks on arena, probably. my current only standard deck is hilarious... and also terrible, which makes it more hilarious
is 3 town/1 scum in a townpool something that 112 is inclined towards
mmAlison wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:46 pmHer push on me, the way she jumped on certain things, felt kinda similar to the push she made on me in SI where she was town there, as well as the push she made on Giraffe in semis. She was town in both games. And on a base level her play is not super scummy. I still have her in my upper POE (and not the top of it either) but I don't have her in my bottom one.
let me first clarify that you're one of my top town and this is like. lylo tinfoil
elaborate?NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:34 pm [VOTE: Urist] aubergine
I don’t feel great about it tho
inclined to agreeAlison wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:29 pmThe wagons were close enough that a busser could have found a reason to hop over at some point, which makes me think that the bus was not as all-in as KZA's was (although I severely doubt that the wagon on me was all wolf - if you asked me to hazard I guess I'd say 2 wolves on my wagon and 1 wolf on 112's, or something).Amy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:25 pm the level 1 reading of wagons is that the alison push was largely to provide a viable alternative to 112
the alternative interpretation is that 112 was bussed and alison was pushed by villagers
these two are not mutually exclusive (see: kza v scirrus in philosophers); however, it's probably worth looking at who the primary sources of momentum on each wagon were
I just think that from the POV of the wolves, one wagon is on their buddy and another is on a reasonably active town player, and this is a good reason to bias towards pushing me. I doubt all of them piled on the same wagon (it's possible but low chance), but I also think they biased towards pushing me rather than pushing 112. The KZA thing had special circumstances too, since the wolves were pursuing a fake clear strategy based on their two dayvig shots from the start, which incentivizes them to bus in-thread harder than in this game.
