I'm also making the terrible decision of trusting moonwink for today after some amount of over-thinking

don't feel like I have anything else to say atm other than re-iterating my activity for D1 will be fairly low; expect practically no activity from me once it goes beyond 24 hours from now. D2+ should be much better.

oh and

I probably don't touch TripleHaven for awhile in this game; last game I had with them suggested I had some very wrong ideas on how to read them

experience is prob somewhere around 40-50ish games across 2.5 years

strengths/weaknesses I can't really say, feels like I'm always changing ever so slightly from game to game

so what I will say is that a player I have played a lot with said recently that when I learn to trust my gut I will be "insane"

so I suspect I have a capacity to have a strong/good sense of things as town

thing is....that sense has not always been applied well lol (in one case even causing an unintentional gamethrow by my part entirely D:) and it has been in active development as of late

Oh and I have a heavy tendency toward in-depth thought and occasionally I will word such thoughts in a manner that renders it incomprehensible to anyone but me

What did you over-think over Moonwink about?

well last/only time I played with them I was hesitant on town reading them but was correct when I did

thing is large part of what I town-read them for back then, they're kinda doing a fair amount this game as if its just natural to them regardless of alignment

but I found something new that I feel points to town, and I'm not going to elaborate on my thoughts beyond that for now

As for my answer, pretty much unless thread dies (in which case my playstyle tends to change a fair bit a tries to push for content generation), I typically start aiming for interactions that I can think of until I am confident in my reads. If I don't think I can get a useful interaction (either due to lack of creativity or given nature of the slot), I tend to lean on reads of others with respect to them or try to figure a creative solution. When I'm confident enough in a mafia read I'll start pushing it. If there's discussion or pushes over my confident town-reads I also tend to engage those discussions and pushers. In some cases this has happened as early as D1, both for pushing mafia and for defending town-reads.

We haven't played with either's scum game as of the moment.

TripleHaven has however, as we were both mafia in a past game, so it kinda surprised me that they v-read me already over something they saw me post rather than any interaction with me. If they're judging that post based on my mafia skill level, I'd say it would at least a bit lower than it should be.

It is preety darn slow for a d1, even for my homesite's standards (which usually only has 400 posts for a d1). Was hoping things would be faster for once without me :/

If I wanted to make a stupid leap of faith and ignore my past reading mistakes with them I would say they're probably town for this

which I might just to avoid thinking about that

Dunno about minimum post ruling, but as far as lowest of low-posting goes, I believe there's still a player with zero.

My main concern is that your initial vote was blank and your reasoning boils down to "why not?" a bit.

Ideally I wouldn't have had to say it but I am hopeful that based on some meta I've found I will be able to figure Dolby's alignment if he gives a reaction.

If he doesn't give a reaction then I'm probably just inclined to kill the slot.

Anyways, I gotta go focus on some stuff I gotta do

Will be here for the event though, which I think happens in 1-2 hours (as that's roughly 24 hours after SoD).

I'll very likely pop in for another hour or maybe even two in the future after that. Beyond that though activity will sadly be very limited from me, as I gotta sleep and one of my classes encompasses EoD.

How hard is it to be the top poster with 18 posts?

Why is being the top poster meaningful?

It's more-so that it seems to me unless you're just "one of those people" most mafia have difficulty reaching top-posting for d1. At least, not intentionally. 18 posts by that point, by a player I don't expect to top-post and yet is top-posting with that almost half-way into d1, makes my gut yell they're town. Partially because I've also done that sort of read before and have been right about it.

It's kinda dumb, but it seems to hold up in my experience. Top-posting beyond d1 though I tend to ignore, as wolves can post more easily with the greater amount of content/discussion topics that have occurred by then.

I feel this would only hold if TH would struggle as wolf to have this much input. Is that the case, from past games?

Looking up the exact facts:

On my mafia game with them (as mafia) they had posted around 102 times in a d1 which had 1440 posts. The game also had around 22 players, so plenty to talk about and interact with and I think like 2-3 people posted more than them for that day, if memory serves correctly without having to count every post.

So kinda on the high-end of things, but I think that was aided by the fact that there was a bunch of mechanics happening in that game, even on d1. This game there just isn't.

I'll be off for now and likely rest of D1, wish I had more time to spend.

I'll be able to pop back in once a little more than an hour before EoD to change my vote if necessary.

Oh and thing about Dolby, in the off-chance that n1 is my death, was that in a previous game he said he was self-aware that his playstyle was scummy or push-prone
