And also, news: I'm changing scoring from a scoreboard system (wherein first place gets points equal to how many players there are, and last place gets 1 point) to a points-based system, where people get as many points as I score a song out of 10.

This should greatly improve score parity and prevent scoring runaways.

Scoring

Scoring is done by scoreboard system. First place is as many points as there are contestants, last place is one point. Everyone's worst category is removed at the end.

Scoring is done by points. I will judge each song out of 10 based on personal preference. While I do not have a dedicated metric for cat fit, it does play a part if the song fits particularly well (or particularly poorly). Tiebreakers determined by 0.1 increments. Everyone's worst category is removed at the end.

I am a harsh judge. (I am not as harsh as Kay, though.) If you want someone to go in-depth about all they appreciate about your song, I am not the judge for you. I try to make it funny, but this may sometimes be a miss. Please let me know if you want me to ease up, as I have no trouble doing so; it's just not my default approach.

Bans

Nothing is banned. Be as risky as you like, assuming you're okay with potentially bombing.

I will remove points if you submit something we both know I like. I won't explicitly disqualify the submission, but it's going to play second fiddle to the new stuff. I'll use my judgement on this, as I can't expect people who don't know me to somehow know my music taste, so there's no reason for them to get dinged for it.

Submitting

I don't do blind scoring, so how you submit doesn't really matter. Just make sure the links correspond to the right category. PM on here or DM on Discord.
