Let's say that there IS a civilian forced on even nights, and forced a BAD SVS to vote Quin, they would know Quin is bad so they could hide behind the premise that a) SVS would never do that as bad and b) there is a civilian vote forcer that forced her, so it's really out of her hands.

I think it's a hard road right now to come back from without complete WIFOM.
So you think that she was forced by a civilian to vote a certain way, and instead of just doing that and not arousing suspicion, she also forced the lynch to end early, shining the spotlight solely in her direction... while simultaneously hoping that the baddie vote forcer she knows exists will be revealed after the civvie vote forcer she also knows exists, her very life depending on this gamble. Also you're assuming that SVS knew Quin was bad even though he was revealed as a civilian role? Maybe that part was a typo.

I'm so lost as to what people think SVS's motive is here. I guess we think she wants to be lynched.

Someone please walk me through this from point A to point B.
I don't think SVS *has* a motive here. If that was unclear. I think the simplest solution is she didn't get caught in a failed baddie plan, she got caught in a good baddie plan that's attempting to take a civ SVS down.

Like I said, the *only* way I could see SVS as bad is if she was outvoted bts and she's teaching her puppies a lesson. I really don't think that's what's happening here though.

I know you weren't talking to me, but I wanted to make sure it was known where I stand in case there was any question.

Also - I just got home and here's the start of me catching up.

RL is cray-cray like normal. As soon as this game starts, one of the GM's in our area got himself fired. My old GM and I split temp running that store as well as our own stores. I spent 3 hours today running from store to store putting out fires and fixing things. I ran into my boss during one of them and was all like "Dude! It's hard to be you!" As such, I'm trying very hard to make sure my fewer posts have meat to them. I hope I'm doing ok.

Re: [Night 3.1] The Office Mafia

I don't work that way DB. I work backwards.

tbh, I usually need a few days on SVS and you see I keep finding scenarios where she could still be bad, but honestly, if I use Occum, she reads and feels more civ to me than most.

I'm sad Wilgy died now that I know he was the tracker. Go back and look at my answer and ask yourself, would I have been talking about anyone but SVS? Or maybe Wabbit and Epi?

I felt good about JJ before he claimed/notclaimed indi. JJ - the students of Lorab are watching you. I currently see no reason to not keep him around. But I will flip a bitch as fast as you if make me think you are not working with the civs. As long as he's helpful he's ok. There will - if he lives - a long enough time where his survivial won't be ok. I reserve the right to lynch him when it's time for the potential indy to go. I think deep in his heart he is a civ leaning indy. I'm ok with letting him prove me right or wrong.

I trust a few others. Reading my posts will help you figure out who.

I'd like to hear more from indi and lorab and splintsy just cuz it's all us!! And come on -this is a fun time!!!

sig's still playing right? And he's the low poster I *remember* is playing. I"d like to hear from anyone who has less posts than sig. :p

Good point. TH, I was just reading back through your posts.

I voted early becasue I was trying to emphasize the similarity of our experiences to Quin. It is also my experience that when you have no choice but to do a thing, either do it immediately and get it out of the way, or wait until the last second and play stupid. For the reason I stated re Quin, I chose the former. Also I am all about open & honest this game, and playing dumb at the last minute does not seem to work with that.

@Daisy, sometimes TPTB just won;t let you say what you really want to say. And you (or me, lol) is sleepy and does it anyhow.

I didn't bring it up because it's as stupid an idea as the idea that we currently find ourselves in.

I simply don't believe a bad you would NK wabbit N1 in a game with me and splintsy and indi and lorab. You would have wanted to earned your win over wabbit. bea, when you get a chance could you talk to me about these two things:

1. What about my exchange with INH makes you feel he emerges looking worse than I do?

2. What inspires your vote for leetic beyond just ensuring you don't miss the vote?
1) The back and forth with Wilgy and INH was hard for me to follow in part by formating, in part from it falling down to what I refer to the "he said/she said semmantic Bea is tuning out now" thing and in part by the fact that wigly and INH share a "zaniness" to their playstyle that made it difficult for me to try to determine motivations. INH however seemed to be doing the same thing as you and after refusing to see why you suspected him went into the No U line of arguing. I didn't think it came off as genuine.

2) I'm not pleased with his no post vote for wigly - I'm not pleased with his calling out Eloh for "fluffy posts" that weren't fluffy or for not addressing either of those things from others. But mostly it's ensuring I don't miss the vote. I like his avi though. Kittahs are awesome. :)

Re: [DAY ONE] The Office Mafia

You guys. I'm really sorry. :( 2 missed votes is unheard of from me. I got swamped at work on sat and never did make it back to try to vote day 1 and I honestly forgot that there was a very strong likelyhood that there would be a night poll, so yesterday, I spent the day napping and trying to not brain. I am the suck. I promise I will get better.

RIP wigglcreed and wabbit.
Welcome espers and JJ.

@ quinn - I know I don't have a lot of post history. I am indeed sorry about that. Like others, I'm having a bit of trouble finding my footing yet. This isn't unusual for me at all. Takes me a few cycles to get into the swing of things. I didn't initially answer wigly's question to me because I was at work and quickly phone posting and also because I honestly didn't understand why he singled me out in asking it. It was a weird request to me. My answer may have seemed like a non-answer to you but it is truthful. I do not find myself often an early target. Most people hit the power players with their powers post game. I remember one game where SVS got hit by literally every single power possible on N1. In this game she got a curse and wabbit got a NK. I'm not a power player, so I don't ever really think of myself as someone who would get targeted early in the game.

I think that JJ is reading like JJ - that makes me happy. I think INH definitely comes out looking worse than JJ in their back and forth. If I had a second vote, I'd use it on INH at this point in time.

As it is, I don't want to miss a 3rd vote in a row and be the most lame mafia player in all of existence. I'm voting leetic. I doubt that will change but I promise to do a much better job of following along and providing what little insite I can than I did last cycle.

I will do my best to keep caught up.

I will try to make the most informed vote I can make when I can make it. But it might be quick and ugly with little explanation.

As of right now, I have no idea who I would vote for, my toe is only starting to get dipped into the water so to speak.

Why is that question strange bullz? Feep free to answer the question yourself.
All of this sounds like somebody who needed something to say coming in and saying something. Why do you think these things? What posts brought you to these conclusions? Why are you defending Matt?
Why would have I needed something to say Epi?

INH put too much effort in his mockery of Matt's point system. Thus I think they are on opposite teams. The reason why I'm defending Matt is because of this. If INH is bad, then Matt is probably good.

Regarding Quin, I have no justification for why I think they are on the same team, thier patterns feel similar though.

Timmer and Epi, what do you think of the questions that I have asked so far?
Were you the one who asked me who I thought would target me on like day 0? It was either you or INH.

My answer is no one. No one's targeting me Day 0 into day 1. But as for N1 - no one's targeting me that night too. I can tell you who I do think will catch lots of targets from civs and mafia N1. But you really don't need me to answer that question.

I think that I'm an excellent mislynch on day 4 or a NK on night 4 if everyone's reading me right. N3-6 tends to be my mafia downfall.

My guesses as to what each of the votes could be:

Personnel - Probably a character list, maybe with role or faction info added.

Management - Maybe information about a similar mechanic to the admiral in Golden's game? Michael Scott would be the clear starting manager and it could possibly wind up in the order it did on the show (forget the exact order but remember Jim and Dwight both being in there somewhere)

Memorandum - Some type of reporting or BTSC mechanic maybe?

Personnel seems the most important for now imo

I throw this up to you - it could very well be exactly like yous say.

Or it could be like old skool where the vote = an advantage to a faction. In that case, I"d say -

Personell is civ
Managment is coperate
and memo is the wild card other mafia team.

Or or - this poll don't mean jack but getting people takling.

All 3 of these secnarios are likley - but the way I see it - it's difficult to NOT vote personell.
What makes you break it down this way; YOU are management where you work, but are definitely not corporate? If this were set up as was the Supermarket game on LP, that would make sense, but it isn't. As Splints pointed out, several mambers of management are on the civ team, based on the pregame roster, which Dom has said has changed. Hell, those may not even be the same teams:

Because I was trying to look at things the simplest way to look at things. I admitted that everything and anything said was likely as right as it was wrong. And it turns out all of us were not quite correct.

As for how could I ever think this given my real life. Because I'm a self aware Michael. I KNOW that I'm so low on the level of managment, that I only count to corporate as being "managment" when they need to fire someone. I every day hope and pray that my team does what we all need to get done based on the fact that that I hope they are working for me and not the company.

The company only sees me as fireable management. Why did I think that management could be bad? Because 90 percent of the people I see above my level of management don't see the rest of us the same way. It's why I'm so dedicated to my old boss. He's one of the few that do. So maybe in the metaphore he's Michael and I'm Dwight. But either way - when you ask why I thought the way I thought. It's because I'm self aware. Like a RINO - I'm managment in name only. And I know it and THEY know it.

Now - how is the weird middle ground I walk every day supposed to make me accountable for a day 0 post about a poll I've had no info about in a mafia game?

Actually, Dom did ultimately update the front page. We now have 3 new roles revealed. And that's it.

I agree with inh that we probably will reveal the game mechanics bit by bit through night polls. Looks like these roles were randomized from the list of employees...

I don't like this either, baddies have been caught or at least sniffed out on day 0. So why are you trying to silence Matt and cast suspicion on him.
So suspecting someone is trying to silence them? Where is your outrage for Matt trying to silence me, then (Not that I think he did such a thing, just making a comparison~ I don't think Matt or I are very likely to be silenced by the kind of remarks heard just yet)?

Matt do you think sig is suspect for defending you on Day Zero?
this right here is interesting...

Re: [Orientation] The Office Mafia

I currently like that INH gave me 100 points in the Matt scale.

I currently love that Matt didn't correct him there.

I'm leaning more towards a personell vote - I think I've laid out why - if you see something diffrent that I should notice speak now or forever hold yolur peace

I think I'll keep my vote on personnel and hope for a role list. Assuming there's BTSC or some other character relationships that we don't know about it might help me assign roles to players.

votes are apparnetly changeale...
