I love that you love Jane Eyre!! It was the first book I'd read of that genra too so it always holds a special place in my heart. Just like the joy I get from traveling down the stacks at the library and finding something "new" like Emily Dickenson.

I"ve been an aglophile for as long as I could talk so I can understand your relating to them. When I was in college, my shakespeare profie would look out the window in october and sigh and say "It's a grand summer day in England" and then we would start class.

As far as I'm concerned there can never be to many people with connections to Ohio. I grew up in Tuscarawas County. Went to collage at Akron U. Interestingly enough, U of Dayton was my first choice. I LOVED that school. I live in AZ now and while it's so very different and I love it so very much, I'm not gonna lie - I get homesick more often than I thought I would have.

Also as for the music question, I used to be REALLY into metal and still am. Stuff like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Motorhead, and Pantera to name a few. I'm also really into Gorillaz. Nowadays though I've grown to hate anything with lyrics, normally because I find the lyrics in the majority of songs to be maddeningly retarded, and then I cant stop questioning the words and it ultimately pisses me off. So I've really gotten into dubstep as a result, but anything with a sick beat or good instrumentals really do the trick. Here some examples of what I could be caught listening to on any given day

Yay!!! Another Ohioan!!! Where abouts do you live? I grew up just south of Canton and went to U of Akron for college. I live in the desert now. It's like Ohio but in reverse. We have 2 seasons. "OMG I can't belive 75 degrees is winter!" and "EFFING HOT!!"

I knew a couple linguistics people when I first graduated college. Two of them were online friends. I went to visit one of them at OU because she was in school like a 2 hour drive from me. We hung out with her other linguist friends. They kept speaking to each other in different languages all night long. LIke one would talk in French, the other in Madarin, the other in Greek etc and they would carry on a conversation. Most interesting conversation I never could follow.
