rico - you played with him in the HV days.Enrique wrote:It's the best case you could make out of his posts, but the thing is, there's so few of them and we need to be sureYou're right, we're gonna have to see how he responds, but in general he's just being such a nub that I'd think he would be more involved as a baddie. There is a chance that he's exactly as clueless as he's acting so far in the game.
and you know what im gonna iso look damn right now since it looks like such an easy job
That bit about boom is secondary. IDK if it's right or not. Just was what I thought when i was ISO ing him that his responses were mostly toward boom.Matt F wrote:I haven't played with Tranq all that much so I don't know what's common for him but I also suspected him (and Wilgy, derp) because of their Zebra votes. I thought they might be on a team but obvi not. As for Boom, the only ping I've gotten off him was when he went after newbie Luke at the beginning of the game for the "no lynch" thing, but then took his vote off of him once he learned how new Luke was.bea wrote:matt - look back at who these discussions have happened with - he resonds to boomslang. Like his whole 2 pets 1 sound thing was in reply to boom. I think if tranq is bad, boom *might* be his teammate, but I've not looked at boom iso at like all and I'd like to find tranq out first. bad duchie is bad.
Anyway you have way more experience with Tranq then I do, bea, does he typically speak with his teammates directly in thread or does he avoid them when bad? I'm pretty sure when I have played with him, he's posted way more then he has this game whether civ or bad, so I don't know what to think.
What do you think of Floyd, bea?
Nub early day 1 vote for me. Yes. Hi tranq.Tranq wrote:Bea
You know who likes ties? Bad Dutchies. That's who.Tranq wrote:A no lynch sounds rather boring. How about a 13-way tie?
Tranq wrote:I know where it wentDrWilgy wrote:I saw a boomslang... I wonder where it went.
Back to back posts. Not anything added to discussion. Offers his vote for sale. Still day 1.Tranq wrote:I'm moving my vote away from Bea.
Who should i vote for?
Tranq wrote:Sure why not.
Revenge-vote for Choutas.
Rude. Except you haven't said anything. Nothing. Look at it - keep looking at your following posts. You've posted a lot and said nothing. No suspects, no suspicions, no cases - just going with the flow. Only bad duchies behave that way. Hell, I've been dying with the plauge and I've been more active.Tranq wrote:Rude. I'm in the top 10 posters this game!
Tranq wrote:That's a silly question. If i move my vote to bcornett24, it would be 6 to 3, so i'd have to answer with a no.
So these two posts reminded me that doing an ISO of tranq is redundant because zeeb already ISOed all this! It's why I voted for him the day zeebs was lynched in the first freekin' place.Tranq wrote:I asked who to vote for and DrWilgy responded.Boomslang wrote:why the Choutas vote other than simple revenge?
Two Pets in one Sound.
Again - hindsite being 50/50 Chou was a vanilla civ.Tranq wrote:Chou is the 2nd Pet
This is the lynch where zeeb and tranq were neck and neck.....Tranq wrote:Temp-voting Zebra for now. Vote may change when i'm actually able to read through the thread, hopefully later today.
You missed the lynch where you were the second most vote getter for beer related reasons. You have no idea who's bad on like day 2 of a speed game. REALLY? You? the great and powerful Tranq have NO idea who is bad? I call bullshit right the fuck here.Tranq wrote:I ended up being afk for the rest of the day. Beer-related reasonsBoomslang wrote:I don't like how Wilgy is deciding to step back after the bad lynch result, but I really don't like how Tranq just shrugged off his Zebra vote as temporary very early in the day, then never bothered to explain it or move it to someone else. It was a close lynch, and when he saw the momentum gathering against him, I think he figured it'd be better to lay low and maintain his advantage than try to defend himself.
I have a gut civ read on DrWilgy and Enrique. No idea on who's bad so far.
Day 3 - day fucking 3 and I have more of a clue as to what's going on than you do and I'm dying from the plauge?? REALLY???Tranq wrote:Choutas. Because he voted for someone i think is civ (DrWilgy) and because Enrique (who also sounds civ) voted him.
No. I am not. Also rip.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Are you a member of mafia bea?bea wrote:Ok zeeb I will follow. Tranq it is. He can call me a nub later if he so desires. It's my title and I wear it well.
I'm still dying. Work is stupid. I hate pizza.
who do you think isn't playing?DrWilgy wrote:Idk, seems pretty relevant. I'd rather take a lynch on someone who isn't going to play than someone who isn't.
Also not being productive my ass! We are discussing babe, so the dance goes on!
When you get the chance FZ, what part of his post gives you the heebee-jeebies?
I have missed you.Enrique wrote:Okay, wait, what? Since when is Bullzeye even playingYou with us FZ?
Wilgy, it just seems odd that you'd give up on a productive Day 1 so quickly. Do I agree that RVS is preferable to No Lynch? Yeah, I get that, but voting for me at that point was opportunistic. As is, IMO, this whole Luke thing you guys are talking about. His vote is questionable insofar it tells us he hadn't read the thread. Big deal, but absolutely not a reason to be shifting all the attention his way.
yes ricosuave - they really did. it's been an adjutment for me too.Enrique wrote:I really don't want to vote for Luke. But y'all better not let me die either![]()
I'm gonna leave Wilgy a vote for now, because out of the candidates so far, he's the only one I can understand. Decent chance I'll still change it if something else comes up or if it's the only way to save myself.
linki: Wait what? You can just say that's not the case, but don't plat it off as if zebra didn't have a point. Having an early vote for the only person who's spoken up and has a vote already can be interpreted as being predatory as hell.
What's RVS? Did you guys really come up with all these new rules and names since the last time I played?
I'm not playing lc's game or even trying to follow it. How would I know that?Matt F wrote:But bea, Luke also played LC's game.
he's so new...are you sure he read the thread and digested it like he should have??Boomslang wrote:Fair enough, and I'll take that under consideration. Still, even if he's new, he's had the same chance to study the thread and its arguments as the rest of us. The vote did come after all of that naysaying, so to ignore it is still making a statement.Matt F wrote:Boomslang, Luke is pretty new to Mafia just so you know. He's played a few games but I think he's still getting the grasp of it.
Yea...the maffs.Metalmarsh89 wrote:It's basically the day phase where the civvies can't screw up or the game ends and they lose.bea wrote:thank you marshmotnewt.![]()
That sounds like maffs that I am bad at.
that is a fair point. Thank you for reminding me of you having said it at the time it happened. I am cute *and* forgetful.a2thezebra wrote:I initially voted for DrWilgy as a joke but I don't dig this:As I said, I don't understand why you would vote for someone for showing interest in something they are unaccustomed to, whether it's pro-town or not. It seems opportunistic and too easy.DrWilgy wrote:Enrique gets my vote for now. I don't think "no lynch" has ever been a fantastic option for civilians in any game I've played.
residual vibes from TH? or something here?a2thezebra wrote:vibesMatt F wrote:Boomslang, Luke is pretty new to Mafia just so you know. He's played a few games but I think he's still getting the grasp of it.
Zebra...
Why not? Or were you just being funny?a2thezebra wrote:I don't trust Wilgy.
TheFloyd73 wrote:If you manage to do that I will be immensely impressed.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Come on Choutas, let's get 9,000 posts in this game. You and me.
Does anyone find Zebra changing her vote a number of times somewhat suspicious?
Linki - I second bcornett's statement about keeping posts to a minimum.
because it's the first thing that's been said that wasn't jokey and could be jumped on? Just spitballin' here....bcornett24 wrote:Why did you suspect that you would be getting votes? Why is it a bad idea to vote for you?Enrique wrote:^a2thezebra wrote:I don't either, but Enrique hasn't had any experience with it. Why suspect him?
I kinda figured I'd end up getting votes if it turned to be a historically bad idea, but it caught my eye and it's not like there's been a lot more to discuss, even now.
So basically we play it hardcore these games. It's pretty essential to be getting our lynches right from the start or we're toast. That makes sense. Hope to see more discussion before the poll's up.
Metalmarsh89 wrote:You lose a lynch too. If we don't No_Lynch on Day 1, we get three more chances at a mislynch before LYLO hits. This is 4 chances total.
If we do No_Lynch on Day 1, we get three chances at a mislynch, then we hit LYLO where there are equal numbers town and mafia.
So the difference here is that we either lynch a player with little information on Day 1, or we put ourselves in a high risk situation in LYLO. I'd prefer the former of these, because mafia is almost guaranteed to win in the latter.
I can see why a person new to the concept would like it though. It's essentially doing the same thing that people do when they random day 1. I admit, I was fascinated by the idea the first time I'd been exponsed to it till all the stuff that comes after this post was explained to me.a2thezebra wrote:I've never seen it work in town's favor. Ever. You're more likely to pick a random player to lynch and get lucky than lynch no one and give scum a free night kill. That's essentially what "no lynch" is, it's surrendering to mafia.
