I have also found parts of your play sus, and I could easily see someone like LP who presumably hasn't read the whole game just having that feeling and mentioning it.

I think you're viewing LP's post with far more OMGUS than is warranted. I have often been in situations where I am way behind, and end up a wagon, and pop in essentially to say "sorry", but then feel like some of the people currently pushing me are doing so disingenuously, and so push back at them, essentially as an attempt to at least do something productive with the little time I have left. It actually reminds me a lot of how I was pushing @Jackofhearts2005 and sig at EoD1 of the Scooby Doo game a while ago (I went over, flipped town. I was right about Sig but wrong on Jack), I felt like they way they were pushing for my wagon to stay strong was wolfy, and even though I hadn't read, I aggressively fought back against them. LP is doing something very similar to this, and it is townie IMO.

He goes from an entire ISO of making no thoughts and on his return admits to basically giving up, then posts an over-the-top accusation and dips? I've pressured many townies, including at EoD, and many don't like me back. How about the fact that you seem to take everying LP says in the most uncharitable way possible, rather than trying to put yourself in their shoes.

For example, I got their Thunal TMI thing pretty easily - having TMI sometimes makes it hard to give sus since you know the people you're "sussing" are actually town. I don't think it is valid for Thun in particular, who is a very skilled wolf, but I don't expect LP to know that, so I think it makes sense from LP's perspective. I think if you sat back and thought about it from a town!LP perspective, you probably also would have understood this.

Another example - just now you're describing the situation where LP made a single post as them having an "entire ISO of making no thoughts". They actually did include quite a few thoughts in their first post, and saying the "entire ISO" thing is technically correct, but seems deliberately misleading considering that LP had only one post.

Another example - just now, you took LP's re-enterance as them "giving up" whereas to me it seemed very clear that they were coming in to apologize about not being able to be around due to IRL, and the only "giving up" involved was the fact that they were clearly resigned to doing only a little in a few minutes, and then needing to leave, again presumably due to NAI IRL things.

For the record, I don't think LP is hard!lock!town or anything, but they are a pretty big ? IMO and your arguments about them have not persuaded me.

I, for one, look at the greater context. For instance, look at Thunal's posts from before LP's opener, and tell me where a townie would get "TMI" from. I don't care that it could be a valid thought under a specific set of circumstances, I only care about the game we're actually playing and the TMI accusation came out of nowhere. "Entire ISO" includes the posts before the OMGUS, and I've gone over the opener enough but none of the "thoughts" were super elaborate or committal. Also, when LP makes a post about "throwing" and then makes a post typical of wolves on their last legs, you can't just ignore the connection here. It's obvious that LP's whole progression isn't townie in the least.

At first glance I'm not really liking leetic that much. Looking at it in context, LP's post is even more weird. Thunal's post isn't even a read, it's a simple statistical statement, and accusing that of "TMI" feels really artificial, not to mention that even if true someone having a lot of townreads is a weird reason to wolfread them. LP's post gets worse the more I look into it

I lean town on Epi, Sean, Dizzy (he made me laugh and he seems so reasonable... famous last words ) but that could be becasue I am tending to like his attitude here. I lean town on Delta and Roxy, also pyxxy. I liked his post with the clips of the player lists, it took me a sec to get the point, but it was a good one. I find myself not really agreeing with Delta, but he feels sincere to me, like he's believing what he says.

I need to sort Scotty, Thunal, Long Con and Wilgy for my own sanity. On thread alone, I would lean town on Thunal, but after how thoroughly she bamboozled me last game, she's definitely not in my trustfall zone lol. I am conflicted on leetic, but GTH would slot him town. Everyone else is ... the Gray Zone. Greige. Taupe.

I have to go walk the dog and eat dinner. Should be back and will prolly vote before work in the AM; I have a job interview after work that I've been working towards for some time, and I won't be here for EOD. Unless I win the billions, then I'm never going to work again, or to that interview.

Just an FYI, it's kind of an old school Syndicate thing, not voting new people their first game. But this isn't your first game, just your first game with him. So I do find that odd.

@leetic First, it's not "fluffposting". It's people playing their game their way, having one on one discussions with people helps me sort them. It's how I play. This AM, I was feeling a bit iffy about Sean, now, a bit better. Based on that conversation.

It's mainly introductions, I wanted to be around for most people getting here so I could get stuck into things but since things are quiet I'm struggling a little & I didnt really want to miss this and have all of my reads being from backreading off the word go.

I dont think there's much to his intro? Aside from slank cover. I've never played w him before so I dont fully know what to expect, which is why I gave my few little questions to try ease into things

I honestly dont know ;_; I liked the beans reference because haha beans game, not sure about the 'woah why so pushy' thing but I dont think I could give a GTH read either way because there's so little there right now & I dont think it's impossible to say that it could come from either alignment

Will swing your question back on you though because I'm assuming off of Scotty's reaction that you've played w/ each other before, should I take his introduction as AI?

The whole point of a GTH is that it doesn't have to be based on anything, "I don't know" is not an acceptable answer

Last time I played with him is years ago. However, regardless of player you can always tell something from introduction posts. I know my introduction would be different had I randed a different alignment

Okay, all kidding aside, you've got the right combination of aggressiveness and seriousness that I associate with town excited to get the game going (seriousness without aggression is wolfy, but with the aggression is townie).

Delta feels like they have a friend-making evil agenda, and the "what's your favorite alignment? Do you hyperpost?" questions feel less like Delta is just trying to get to know people, and more like they are looking for things that they can eventually knitpick about others. Granted, the "who do you know?" question is valid.

I think I know everyone except for Leetic, btw.

I get your concerns about me coming across overly friendly, it's something that happens to me in a lot of my games, but how exactly am I meant to nitpick about any of these down the line?

They're just building blocks for me to work off of since people seem to have a decent sense of familiarity with each other here & most people here are fairly new to me in comparison.
