I think this is an absurd interpretation for you to suggest.

Alison's reason for being suspicious of you here, as I understand it, is that your read on Esooa is the type of thing she believes a mafioso would come up with when trying to provide authentic town reads on a player. That does not mean the read is illogical or necessarily false, just that the reasoning is lacking a certain insight that Alison would expect from a civilian. She can correct me if I am mistaken on any of this.

I have no further comment on the validity of alison's suspicion in this case. It is her own. But I do not think it is remotely fair for you to characterize it the way that you have.
Yeah, obviously it wasn't her main case, but she definitely put that in there. Either she thought that or she just wanted a longer list.

This is super towny in a way that I might articulate after a good night's sleep but that you guys can probably vaguely see the angle behind.
Anyone not dark blue would have thought hard about the setup, and wouldn't want their thoughts on the setup to come out because it would be a huge slip risk. This post doesn't read as fake because IIRC it was in the middle of some big aimless convo between me/her/Sloon.

People shit bricks when they rand 3p and need to figure out a gameplan immediately. This game is a town and a bunch of 3ps. Therefore.

I think literally every 3P I've seen in my time on the syndicate has been omega chill and didn't care at all about the setup or the other players

the 3Ps here are slightly different from the usual 3Ps but regardless I don't think there's any basis for assuming that roll 3P = setup spec, nor do I think that there's any basis for assuming that setup spec = understand the game

Guess this is a TS thing then because everything that makes scum not omega chill applies ten times more to 3p and every remotely antitown 3p I've ever seen wants as little attention as possible.

Point me to where I said setup spec = understanding the setup. The point was about whether Esooa would actually voice that.

Okay, I'm willing to actually keep talking about this, but first I'll need input from other people here who are familiar with the site's meta about whether or not it's actually total horseshit to call someone scum for thinking relaxedness is a tell, because this is supposed to be extremely fucking basic and disagreeing is one thing and perfectly fine but then actually making an attack out of someone doing it should be out of the question.

He reads like he wants to die, and his volatility doesn't make sense to me. I have been reading him as Frustrated Town In A New Environment, and a big part of me still sees it that way, but there is also a part of me that thinks he's mafia who does not believe he is capable of overcoming the early pressure he has faced, and so he has tried to draw as much attention to himself to keep us from identifying any of his partners too easily. I didn't think any of the things he said to/about Alison made sense last night, for instance.
Oh you could've just asked about that. There were two particular moments where I got radio silence from Alison, the one I was talking about at the end was that thing where she said "you're scummy for saying that being relaxed is towny" and I said "did you just say what I think you said". The point got dropped completely with no mention, right in the middle of a big real-time chat between us.
I do not feel like this sort of thing is usually indicative of a mafioso, especially one of Alison's caliber. I think it is more likely the case whenever this happens that the person just is not interested in continuing the conversation in that direction/does not feel it's necessary to do so. Or sometimes people simply forget about things, not that I would think that has happened here.

There is a lot going on, and it seems like conversations with/about you have been multi-faceted. It is difficult to follow when a conversation branches off into five different arguments. It's usually more productive to focus on a few key things. I don't look at Alison skeptically if she dropped an item or two.

That said, I have not read the conversation in question. I'm not sure I'm interested in it at this time.
Okay, that's one thing, how about saying "you're scummy for saying that relaxation is towny" in the first place?

I am not Alison, but this does not feel like a productive use of your time or energy to me. In my experience, desperate pleas like this one (and it does come off as desperate on some level. Not saying that you personally are desperate here) rarely if ever succeed at convincing anyone of anything. If you are town, the best way for you to demonstrate that would be to continue hunting and solving the game alongside other town players.

I would also caution against accusing others of engaging in unfair rhetorical practices too often. That does not build trust.
Hey I'm gonna die, if not now, in a couple days, so if I wanted to play as pro-town as possible I'd sub out in the hopes of getting someone townier in this slot, but that feels like it would be in even worse spirit. I decided early that I wouldn't be able to clear myself at this rate, so I decided clearing other people was the next best thing I could do. Chop and Martin were my choices, and the rest is history.

I have long given up on making anyone trust me. Even for the people that townread me I am the guy nobody talks about. Call out my defeatism all you want.
This is me calling out your defeatism. I don't know what games are like in your experience, but 'round here we don't pre-ordain anyone for anything on Day 1.
Cool you chose the pro-town route.

Yes that was totally a big planned RT from the start of course. None of that was real. Totally.

I also pushed you for the Dom stuff and the early LAMIST shit. Why are you so desperate to convince someone who isnt voting you that you are town?

i've already addressed that point. It's not a playstyle issue unless your playstyle is making nonsensical and bullshit reads based on flimsy reasoning. So no I didn't ghost anything.
Alright well let's call them that for now. Why couldn't that be a playstyle? Don't shit players exist? I refuse to see a response of "guys he's scum" as an actual response to the point.

The fact should make you even more concerned. We have 26 slots to sort, chop chop.
You may be feeling a bit of extra urgency if these phases are shorter than you're used to. This is a relatively slow start, but I'm not concerned about the pace. It's the weekend, we have four active games on this site right now, lots of people just don't seem to be here right now. They'll show up.
I couldn't care less about the people that aren't here. Someone is here and is actively choosing to keep the game slow.
i would argue that my choice to not immediately share my two early townleans is provoking more conversation than it would if i had chosen to share them immediately

i just dont feel a sense of urgency about this game, in all honesty. the majority of people not posting on a sunday does not concern me - there's still a lot of time
Okay fine it's not scummy anymore but it's still annoying af. The discussion it's provoking is one guy saying "spf bad". That's it.
