tspic how soon did you know about julinook's claim and that it had potential conflict with your role
because this is the first post i assume that hints towards your bad feelings on julinook, you noted a post where they talked about their claim, and it feels like you should've voiced concern about that sooner than you didTonyStarkPlaysItCool wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 1:24 pm people having strong reads on nanook on day 3 is odd

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
i mean i don't even know what to say to you at this point. i've told you your tunnel is bad and you still have yet to reconsider on my alignment since you initially wolfread me. if i'm being "individually wolfy", then i should've been voted out long ago. but turns out, i haven't. and this isn't me trying to taunt you, it's me trying to give you a wake up call that this read is in fact bad because almost no one agreed with you, up until today where it's mostly for our claim. and while x1 commuter might be a wolfy role, i know i'm a villager and i can't change what i was randed. i didn't even want to claim because our role is essentially useless at this point because wolves should never be killing us. i'm also going to continue to maintain that nanook's read is incomprehensible because it seems like he's assuming that every bit of thought process in a single post is stationary, when clearly posts are allowed to show thought process and progression and solving.Poop Explosions wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 6:40 pm So , all mech bullshit down the drain, my PoE on reads is... literally just Mana tr.
Which is nice because they're both individually wolfy, and having my reads at five towny players and two wolfy players implies I'm doing something right, but also the team makes no sense. It would mean van hellbussed her whole team D1. I could definitely see both Tim and hk signing up for a D1 bus, especially once they had already started taking a lot of heat without van's help, but Mana? van was the whole damn reason the Mana scumreads snowballed as much as they did. That's not to mention the constant question of why the fuck would you bus and janitor your partner? Ultimately van did end on BT, but she still joined in at the height of the TAT dogpile.
So either van YOLO'd the bussing as hard as possible or I messed up somewhere.
The possible saving grace for this world is that van didn't really follow through on either. When it came time, she ended on both counterwagons, and in particular she pushed FK through hard. If I turn my head and squint, I could see her not planning on either of her Mana or TAT pushes going through.
anyways, i'll give you some of my "meta" if you'll take it seriously. i used to not bus at all way back, but i've become accustomed to bus my teammates whenever i see fit. in fact, in spec chat invitational i actually spent a decent chunk of time pushing on both of my teammates. in the recent pokemon black and white light game, i pretty much didn't bus at all, other than shading and voting on my partner, but i ALWAYS made it a point to try and not end on my partner at eod. that's what i like doing: distancing from my partners, and then trying to find any excuse i can to try and vote elsewhere. this isn't necessarily a consistent meta; i wouldn't say that any time i rand wolf i play in a consistent fashion, because i... don't really? it all revolves around how i'm looking at the thread and how i think i can reach my wincon, whether it's townreading my partners for being villagery or trying to pocket other villagers.
also i want to reiteration this again: i did try and vote two and through at eod. you can check, i made the vote in the thread and i ended up voting too late. i've explained why too: on mu, usually the vote locks at :01, and it locks here at :00. i'm unfamiliar with that because i've only played one other game here, but let it be known that i did absolutely try and vote two and through there over bottom text. as well, i wasn't even the one who voted bottom text, that was mist. when it came down to it, she told me she was fine with me voting two and through, so i attempted to switch because i still thought two and through was a wolf.

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 2]
ah right i remember mana talking about thisMana wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 8:42 am Okay so poop went from town reading T&T and BT (which is a huge yikes on it's own), to then voting T&T when it looked like they were doomed, then to switching to Mana when it looked like the Mana wagon could go over (which it would of till BT and TR switched to T&T). So basically if T&T is scum it's always Poop. It COULD be BT or TR if T&T scum, but it's less likely because the only reason to do this is knowing the D1 kill will be janitored and prefering the janitor flip over a naked scum flip which is possible. Of the two, BT is more likely because BT in a sense could be seen as voting to "save" so that vote was kinda forced, and for all we know janitor only worked on T&T and not BT.
Poop then preceeded to be perfectly wrong the next day in their reads. That's impressive, but not in light of them almost voting to save scum D1.
Poop is just scum y'all. you gotta vote'em guise, you just gottaaaaa
Direct quotes to relelvant post in the spoilThis is the part where everyone sheeps my readsSpoiler: show
(sheeping image for reference of proper form)
uh. it's a bad look for sure, but i still feel like c4/mac have still been solving the game consistently enough from a perspective that i expect from both of them where i feel pretty confident they're just not a wolf. that kind of whiplash progression also isn't wolfy ime? like if you're going to randomly vote two and through, it makes more sense to have a reason to do so. that's at least what i like doing as a wolf; i typically am not a fan of just randomly voting someone for no reason as a wolf.
also that might be 2 different heads you're quoting. mac said before that he thought two and through was a lock wolf.

you said that you have interactions with bottom text that clears you but i can't think of any reason in particular why you can't be with bottom text? like you never really tried to kill them when it mattered i think. if you did then correct me. you also voted on mana on d1 as opposed to two and through AND bottom text, who are both suspects.TonyStarkPlaysItCool wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:38 pm Why are we scum and why are we the team with BT?

i also believe this though actually. just the way they went from akemi w to akemi v for this many reasons. i kinda feel like a wolf wouldn't need to shift their read based on this much reasoning if they are going to.Mana wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 8:59 am Poe solve
It's not AkeHaze cuz nutella wouldn't x roxy d1, they were mech'd n1, and alison would always carry the nk here
it's not Toopy and boop because weird ass early game mech things
It's not Julinook cuz they protected AH
It's not both BT and TR because end of day one (slightly less likely to be TR if T&T is scum)
that leaves
Poop, the suspiciously Ineffective body guard
either BT or TR (in that order for reasons mentioned above)
and TPIC, who's claim will hopefully kick them out of POE
Does poop have town/scum equity with any of these players?

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
okay this is the last post i'm going to make given setup gaming because i don't think this is a surefire route of solving the game
BUT
trans right - x1 commuter
tspic - x? roleblocker
julinook - x1 jk
almost a 0% chance all of these roles are villagers, so probably jot down that one of these is a wolf.
poop explosions - x2 bg
bottom text - x1 deflector
these are the remaining protectives/utility roles
akemi - x1 tracker
mana - x1 watcher
compared to how much supposed power village has wrt stopping killings in some fashion, i'm almost inclined to believe both of the investigatives are village. they're only x1 and only watcher is strong; tracker isn't nearly as powerful.
toopy & binoo - x1 medium
and this role is a bit of an outlier (utility), but they're almost never a wolf.
gth tspic/julinook/bottom text is 2/3 wolves. mana would be a wolf with that's only 1/3. i still don't think poop explosions is a wolf.
but enough of this, lemme try to think about the game more outside of mech for a moment

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
like julinook softed that they were the reason that mana was blocked on d2, and i heavily doubt wolves weren't cognizant of that
i... sorta think tspic would just claim something else? how bad of a read is this?

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
a village roleblocker and a village jailkeeper both existing in a 13er?
mist said that she thinks this is unlikely to be v/v and i'm inclined to agree
i wonder if a wolf would just claim something else though... idk.

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
i also kinda think this is the type of role that you probably don't soft as a wolf? i mean it's so freaking powerful that's going to naturally raise eyebrows.

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
afaik normal jk's don't cause the actions to fail on the person that was jk'd. they should only block the actions the jk'd person does, not actions performed on them, if that makes senseTonyStarkPlaysItCool wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 1:36 pm why does it have to say super jk isn't that just normal jk
but that might just be a syndicate thing because nanook said it was

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
if the claims are true:
julinook super jk'd akemi
akemi tracked mana. akemi was jk'd, so the action failed.
mana watched akemi. mana started the person that was super jk'd, which also causes actions on that person to fail. thus mana's action also fails

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
theoretically there's a world where julinook/mana are w/w and julinook super jk'd mana instead of akemi. i think it would result in the same interaction.

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 3]
it's mostly his role interactions. his role accounts for why mana/akemi were blocked, and if they are a wolf i don't really think blocking akemi and preventing kp on her is pro-wolves. it only is if wolves expected akemi to be a hotspot for actions, which... meh. the role is definitely really strong so maybe this logic isn't great.
also i'm pretty sure his push on tim isn't w/w. iirc nanook isn't really a busser, and his push on two and through didn't read to me as a bus either
