Okay so given the above answers I would say that unless you have claim a red check on Ilario there is not much you're going to be able to say to persuade me that Ilario is an optimal day 1 chop here. I have no reason to trust your meta on Ilario is accurate. I have no reason to trust that you would be able to catch Ilario if they were mafia. I have no reason to believe that even if Ilario is mafia and you're right it will lead anywhere productive so it's best to just not.

Thing is that with slots like Ilario (ie. slots that are viable n1/n2 self resolves. It's just optimal to let them. Don't risk doing the mafia's job for them by taking out a whale on day 1. Don't risk giving the mafia the win of trolling a strong villager into outing their role because you tunneled badly. Just let them try to deepwolf. They often bus anyway.

I don't have a red check on anyone, so I don't think I can say anything on anyone to persuade you, because this is day 1 and we are still just trying to figure out the game. You have no reason to trust me on my abilities is fair, since we don't know each other that well.

lilypetal and santygrass both calling neon obvious town makes me think that neon is town who is being correctly townread by them or TMI'd as town

...i actually feel similarly about porscha calling lily locktown and think that it increases lily's odds of being town regardless of porscha's alignment, though i think lily has been posting fairly well over the last few hours, at least to the extent where i am probably not willing to go after her today either

there have been various points throughout this game where i have called nook/alison/illario/tilg towny but i dont stand by my townreads on any of them anymore

if you are town then i think alison's mafia equity rises slightly

nook has been posting fine but i might have cleared him a little hastily

tilg's posts "look good" but i cant really verbalize any reasons to townread him and it's not implausible to me that he could just be a wolf who did a good job at blending in with the consensus in the early phases of the game

illario is playing closer to his typical town meta than his wolf meta but he hasn't done the main thing that i usually TR him for yet so im dropping him back to null until he does

dont have any strong reasons to townread belzy but they have enough defenders today that make me think i could just be getting pinged by their playstyle

i actually perhaps find dya's content so far maybe a little bit wolf indicative but i like dya and am kind of deliberately giving them space since they are busy and since i know if they are town they will make probably make it obvious pretty soon

There are four people I've never played with, then a big handful of people I've played with like 3 or less times so idk if I'd say I'm familiar with them per say, but recognize their names, and them about half the players I know reasonably well, with a few I'm probably getting into the high tens in terms of games played with.

The dynamics of the team made it logical for Alexa to be the townsiding wolf in that game. Because she has massive wim and has very defined ideas of how she has to wolf around certain people that extended to her having to townread certain town etc. Because she was playing that role it made more sense for me to openly push wolf agenda. We would have won that game if not for the 3ps.

3p did help us, but I still don't understand really, while mafia shot another mafia, you open wolfed, got killed over it. Anywho, thanks for your perspective on that matter. And yeah, it was close to some level. It was a very interesting game.
