I think it depends on a couple factors, I'd guess probability is generally low, but not impossible.

I didn't tunnel you all game. I my solve had various possibilities, some of which had you as mafia. The reason we lost is because people locked Hally town, I wasn't particularly tunneled.

Also am I following right that your read comes from the guilty baseline and I have to work to ingratiate myself to a town level?

It depends on the read. If someone has a town tell, then they are guilty until proven town, if someone has a mafia tell, then they are town until proven mafia. This is just, common sense as to how town tells & mafia tells work - the absence of the tell means your baseline is the opposite.

Meta reads are overrated

If meta reads are overrated, then I suggest you prove that right by identifying what I'm meta reading you on and make me read you incorrectly most of the time. So far I'm 100% with this meta.

I think this is a common misconception that mafia players who read content have. I don't make content/interpretation reads.
