Re: The French Revolution
I wanted to do "The French Revolution in 48 hours or less" in order to simulate the insanity... But I realized it would be far too taxing to handle that many actions, reveals, etc...NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:08 pmYes

The French Revolution [JOB]
The French Revolution
A semi-open game for an undetermined number of players.
This is a multiball game in which each player has two alignments both of which influence your win condition. It is therefore important that, regardless of the gamestate, players consider their overall win condition before being overly forthcoming with information. Players who share your alignment, and who share a PT with you will not necessarily be on your team at the end of the game.A semi-open game for an undetermined number of players.

Game State #1
Estates-General

In this game state, each player's alignment is defined by which estate they belong to:
Clergy (PT)
Nobility (PT)
The 3rd Estate
During this game state, each estate has 1 daytime vote, therefore the majority (or plurality) target of each estate will receive 1 vote (yes, votes are alignment indicative). If two estates vote for a single player, that player is arrested without flip. If the vote is tied 1-1-1, a random member of the 3rd estate will be arrested. You will not be informed which of these events took place.
Each night spent in this gamestate, the Clergy & the Nobility will each receive 1 power role as defined by the King (Host).
REVOLT

If the game state is the Estates-General: Each night, players may submit a revolt action, this action is private and is not limited to the third estate. If between 0.1% and 33.3% of the 3rd estate revolts, a random player who revolted is arrested. If more than 50% of the game's current players submit a revolt action, rules of the National Assembly game state take over.

Game State #2
National Assembly

In this game state, each player's alignment is determined based on their support for the crown:
Loyalists
Moderates
The Jacobin Club (PT)
During this game state, each player has 1 vote, arrests are determined by a majority vote. If no majority is reached, the Jacobin Club will be able to perform a kill.
The Reign Of Terror

If the game state is the "National Assembly": Once during the game, the Jacobin Club may start the reign of terror. All prisoners (players previously arrested) are immediately executed (flips now occur). From this point on, all arrest actions are now executions which provide flips. There will now be an additional day kill, the Jacobin Club may execute any player who has received at least 1 vote from one of its members. Maximilien Robespierre may execute one of his own subbordinates (Jacobin Club) in order to kill anyone in the game.
LOYALISTS GATHERING

If the game state is "National Assembly": Each night, players may submit a loyalists gathering action, this action is private and is not limited to the Loyalists alignment. If between 0.1%-49.9% of current players submit a loyalist gathering action, one random player who submitted the action is executed with immediate flip and the reign of terror autmatically begins. If more than 50% of the game's current players submit a loyalists gathering action, rules of the Estates-General game state take over.
