Traitors for Exile

Traitors for Exile
15 Player Game

Image

Setup:
48/24 Phases
Plurality AND majority intact.

In this game there will be 4 Traitors and 11 Town.
Traitors do not share a chat and do not know who the other traitors are.
1 of the 4 Traitors is given an Anti-Day Cop.
The Anti-Day Cop makes Town appear as Traitors and Traitors appear as Town if they are ever targeted by the Anti-Day Cop and then checked by the Day Cop
1 of the Town will be a starting Day Cop and may check to see if someone is a Traitor or a Town.
There will also be a Town Uniformed Backup Day Cop assigned to another town player that will only be aware they are the Backup after the Cop dies.
There is an Exile Phase instead of a Night Phase.
During the Exile Phase you will vote for a player to exile, upon 24 hours the player with the highest amount of votes or if vote meets majority that player will be exiled.
An exiled player will be unable to speak or vote the next following day but as a result will not be able to be voted on either. They will then return back the next exile phase.

The game ends in 1 of 3 ways.
All Traitors have been executed. (Town Win)
Town loses majority (Traitor win)
There has been 3 Traitor’s sent to exile
(Traitor Win)
In the case of 1 Traitor and 2 Town remaining, Exile Phase is removed.

Rules:
1) Tolerate your fellow players, your host, and your Facilitator.
2) If you feel like another player is out of line or making/taking things personal/ly, talk to me or a Mod.
3) Don’t edit or delete posts.
4) Only speak in the thread if your part of the game.
5) Participation is polite to everyone involved.
If your busy and cannot contribute to the game or can’t handle the game anymore, privately DM me to replace out.

I think with the exile vote isn't it better to not vote the same people twice while it's avoidable to do so?

That way it's betting on making no more than 3 mistakes in the upper half of the player list (which seems fair) compared to betting the entire game on a specific player being town (which I think is easier to fake because of a lack of TMI).

Not sure if this is the better mech play.

Yeah in the exile/night vote if we hit three wolves we lose.

It's only a temporary vote (one day) though.

So that's why I said at the start I think it's better to spread the exile vote among the towniest players just once per player, expecting not more than three wolves in that group, than bet the game on a single player being town.

The thing about the exile vote is if we pick one player to keep sending and we are wrong on that player then we lose the game EoN3.

We can improve on that by picking two players and alternating. Even if we are wrong on one, we lose either EoN5 or EoN6 at the earliest.

If we pick a different player every night we shouldn't ever lose but actually the second option might also be a valid alternative here.

Why don’t we just send the cop so we don’t ever lose via exile and the franer/lawyer traitor can’t fuck with is?

I'm assuming there's a downside to just exiling Mac every Day? Im not sure what that is though. Can the cop still use actions when exiled?

Regardless, as long as we can identify a pair of players with at least one town between them minimum (which shouldn't be too hard) we can have four all but guaranteed to be safe days without needing to exile Mac.

Am I right in thinking that the OP suggests that the framer is permanent?

If so, the cop results are much more useful in the early game and we should plan exiles accordingly.

So if we just exiled Mac every Day then isn't this just a nightless mountainous 14er but with 4 lost wolves?

This is definitely not how I expected this game to be.

Originally I had thought that exiles were permanent deaths lol (although that would become effectively a nightless too because you could just use the exile as an additional elimination and get good results).

For the "don't exile a person more than once" strategy I believe that we need 6 names (minus the number of times we exile the cop) and we need no more than 2 of those names to be lost wolves.

I think traitors win if we sent three of them to exile.

So we should be trying to avoid that as possible.
