Re: Assassins in the Palace [Day 3]
Hickman is by far my favourite comics writer. I have the graphic novel set ('Time Runs Out') of his Avengers run up to Secret Wars 2, and only just a couple of weeks ago I finally read his FF run with the Council of Reeds etc. Loved it!Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 3:46 pmHow much Hickman have you read? I loooove both his FF and Avengers runs. I think I have a lot of other X-Men catching up to do before I start on that run.
But you can get into House of X/Powers of X without any catching up, really. It's basically a total reset, divorced from the storyline leading up to it. It's also my favourite comics of all time, I think I like it better than Sandman. I am always available to talk Krakoa or anything Hickman, you can hit me up!
Here is my Halloween costume as Krakoa-era Professor X:

Re: Assassins in the Palace [Day 3]
It is rare to see someone who intends to explain so much of their reasoning and gameplay after the game. Normally one explains those things during the game, in order to help others share their point of view. Is this a Foxy thing, or are you withholding information because of the structure of the King's Guards style game?

I tend to withold bits and pieces during game to spin the narrative or check some suspicions during the game but never so weirdly or stupidly. It's true that this game differs from regular Mafia in that we are trying to keep the King's identity secret. Some of Foxy's opinions, if he is a Guard, might give vital info away if explained in any depth. Same goes for all of us.Michelle wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 5:16 pmThis is not working like that. Foxy] aubergine it seems that today is the day.
And btw, I absolutely love your profile pic, Foxy.
@Dragon D. Luffy yes, that is exactly right. Ship (boat, relationship); sheep (wooly, related to goats). I work with a woman from Venezuela, Spanish first language, not Portuguese, but she says it like the same word, too. When she learned the word "creepy", everyone and everything was "crippy", it was so cute, she's such a sweetie.

Your "ship" sounds like mine, the "ee" in "sheep" is substantially more truncated on the vowel sound.

Ha ha just going over previous days, saw some things that felt pretty good.
Let's say you're not the Assassin. Do you think the Assassin is voting for you right now? I don't know if that's good logic or not. Why would the Assassin really care about who is getting voted if it's not them? They don't really need to blend in that way, do they?

The reason I moved my vote off TSP was because his reaction to my vote was so boring. But, it's expected of an experienced mafia to not fret over my vote which had next to no basis, now that I think about it.
